A PERSON died, not just an artist we know. From all accounts she was a loyal friend, sweet , kind and funny. Fame did her in and I'm sorry for her loss. RIP Amy, you deserved better.
It kills me that both are gone too soon. I can only imagine if Amy & George had continued to live long lives, the amazing music they would've continued to write. I can even imagine them collaborating together on a song. Two of the most unique & instantly recognizable voices in the world. Rest In Peace Amy & George.
In her song Rehab, when she says "I don't ever want to drink again, I just need a friend", I saw your sad expression, as I reacted the same way when I heard those lyrics. Because when It comes down to it, that's really what she seeked and needed in her life. A genuine friend to be there for her. I remember listening to her song "wake up alone," and I broke down in tears
The emotion that comes through her music makes me cry also. If you havent already, i recommend her collab with Nas. They also had a nice friendship and have the same birthday!
Amy was a brilliant artist. Supremely gifted. Her death is a tragedy, but her music will live on forever. One of the greatest voices and songwriters of all time.
This must have been the most respectful reaction vid I have ever watched. You did not interrupt every other second, talk over the music, or make fake face impressions, that is why I still have not find anyone who`s reactions would be enjoyable to watch you really listened, and I want to Thankyou so much for that. definately going to order this channel. My first and only reaction channel, I`m exited to see your other reactions. I liked Amy Winehouse so very much, I feel she was one of a kind, so talented, so raw, and honest in her music. She was a jazz singer, but record company changed her music to more " sellable "-style to records. So watch her live performances where she uses her voice more and different styles, she never performed the same song with the same style, she allways changed it. Watch her first audition to record company at the time when no one knows of her, it is very interesting, she has a guitar and her voice, she is very young there, sitting on a couch and when she starts to sing, just wow. Also, some of her songs with other musicians, start listening the song: "Like smoke". This song is something: Listen a very interesting song she made at 16-17 years old "when my eyes" ( close)". They released it after her death, unfortunately. But these are just a few suggestions, if you ever got time, and you liked her style, you won`t be disappointed! And, thankyou again for making a vid of her,it just made me so very glad :) I don`t want to people to forget her.
Ugggg. She was just so damn amazing. “Love Is A Losing Game” may be my favorite of hers although it’s difficult to choose. Marc Romson, her producer, was really key in helping develop the sound on her Back To Black album that all these tracks come from. They were a perfect pairing for each other. Her first album has some great stuff on it too like “F Me Pumps” and “Moody’s Mood For Love” and a rare track to find that’s available on UA-cam is her awesome cover of “Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow”
'To Know Him Is To Love Him' is another rare cover of hers, there's a couple of recordings out there. If you haven't heard it then give it a try- it's just Amy and a guitar= heaven ❤
she joins that list of amazing British female singers like Dusty, Alison moyet, Kate bush, Annie lennox, Adele, Bonnie Tyler, Sade, Lisa stanfield etc etc. She may be the greatest female artist of the past 50 years. She is just iconic & touched people on such a deep level.
The funeral scene for Back to Black originally was Amy burying her heart which had been broken. The gravestone read "Here lies Amy's heart." This was removed from the video following her death.
RIP Amy!!! Simply the best!!! You know someone is special when you can honestly say that her songs are instantly recognisable as her, as is the case with all the greats. She left us far too early and I don't think I appreciated her enough at the time, you just assume it will keep coming forever, but it wasn't too be. I'm making up for it now.
Absolutely *need* to listen to her album "Frank" now❗️ The music videos from that album are: In My Bed, Stronger Than Me, F Me Pumps, and Take The Box Which are just as pleasing to the ear as her Back To Black album🎶
A moment for the pain a poet suffers for their art. When the art is this incredible, the pain should not be wished upon anyone.. Edit: In terms of musicians, it always impressed me how a couple of British girls like Joss Stone and Amy Winehouse both [though remarkably different stories and backgrounds] had some of the best 'real musicians' wanting to play, record and just jam with them. Amy always gave me Billie Holiday vibes, just more sad for happening 50 years later and we still watched it happen, still enabled it. There's always the Harry J. Anslingers, there isn't always a friend.
Just simply one of the best voices ever! Such a storyteller - magic happens when she sing. Left us way to early. Rip where ever you are beautiful person. ✌️ Thank you for reacting to Amy Winehouse.

Love Is A Losing Game is my favorite of hers. Sadly, I can say that will always be true, since there will never be a new song from our beloved Miss Winehouse. As a professional musician, I think it’s her Magnum Opus.
Am I the only one who finds all of her songs haunting and beautiful?! She had such an amazing mystique about her, yet so hardcore. Can I suggest a couple PJ Harvey tunes..."Man Sized" and "Down by the River?" She's painfully underrated
