Ray Hayden here, Checking our security camera footage from the night before, I am quite often given the surprise of a cat or two walking by, stopping for a drink of water, and most of the time walking away.
This time was different. I wondered if the bears near here would stop on by, and this one clearly demonstrated a sizable bear walking by our front porch, having the smallest of drinks, and walking off the far end of the porch.
This bear is about 36 inches tall, about 91.4 cm, or .915 meters tall... standing in defense? I would not want to see up close. The thing that instantly got my attention was the SOUND of it's claws on our tile porch before I see it... it is a beautiful bear, and this was their home long before it was ours.
I am very happy to see it being able to come through our property safely. They do not normally attack pets, and there is a black cat, and an orange cat, who seem to be here a lot outside. We cannot catch those cats. The orange cat we see often in the camera, having a late night drink of water... the black cat seems to live in our barn.

Yes it was, we normally get cats coming by - which is why we put the water out there. But this bear was a really great catch, and the bear looked good too... Bonus!
Hi Ray. Amazing video footage captured by your motion security camera. Florida. biologists estimate that there are approximately 4,050 black bears living in Florida. Adult male black bears usually weigh between 250 to 350 lbs. The largest adult male black bear in Florida weighed 760 lbs. Have a nice day.

Hey there Ray. Your land seems to be an atttractive passage way for curious critters. I haven't seen any bears here lately. The last bear we saw was super huge and had a bad attitude. I'm glad that it moved on to annoy someone else. Be well my friend. 👍🏽🤠 05/29/24
This bear was fun to see... it seems to have a good attitude, and we try to let them have as much of the space as they would like. Thanks for stopping by!

I saw that a video clip was captured, but I thought it was just one of the cats who stop by the porch at night for a drink of water... I heard the foot steps and the claws, and was rather surprised that it was this pretty large bear... but the bear looks healthy, so we are very happy about that!
