I remember when Michael was the new guy. Now he’s the man. Thanks for blessing our ears Lemmo 🤘🏽
Also shout out Jen too. Talk about an OG 💙
I wonder if he still enjoys making these videos though... back in the Agnesi days I remember Mark seemed really bored at the end of his tenure
Loved the Allman Brothers, Mike dude...fantastic!
I thought to myself, “Damn, this is so great.” So evidently he was playing an Allman Brothers song? Would you mind telling me which one? To my chagrin, I’m only familiar with the band’s most well known songs.
@@rexgrange9354 "In Memory of Elizabeth Reed" and "whipping Post" 👍
That Allman Brothers riff is going to be in my head all day.
Best looking SG I've seen, probably
Yep. Hey GIBSON! Why don’t you release a PROPER REISSUE! This color! Custom Shop Fine by me!
That is a gorgeous color man.
A proper Cherry and one heck of an SG.. ♥
A proper Cherry and one heck of an SG.. ❤
That SG is gorgeous! Lemmo!
Def dream guitar. I missed out on one exactly like that for super cheap about five years ago and still regretting it.
You be in an Allman mood today! Heck yeah man! sounding great as always
Awesome as always Lemmo !! Thanks Jen !!
I'd call this color Black Cherry. Looks awesome. Lemmo makes it sound like a million dollar guitar every time
Kind of a wine red.
He's got a thing for that guitar 🇦🇺
The way that SG meant to played Angus Young
Thanks guys 👍
Go Eagles
Pete Townshend and some Santana (Woodstock) wibes !! beautifull.
Wibes ?? Vibes
I was thinking about complaining that there was no music of the Who from this GOTD segment (Pete frequently slung this model in the late 60s, maybe even with the Vibrola). Then, Michael played "Highway to Hell"; AC/DC makes up for it. Happy Heavenly birthday, Malcolm Young!
My SG special is from 89, and it has humbuckers. I wish it had p90’s
Change them. I have a ‘03 Special Faded and after fifteen or so years I installed Lollar P90-for-humbuckers, which are now called Novel 90s. The guitar is so much better.
I don't know why but now that I'm older, I just love those P-90 pick-ups. Maybe this is a sign of maturity.
Tasty ML playing. Sweet!
Lemmo is such a fantastic player...
3 secs into this video and I'm like super, super jealous - I think that is literally the best sounding guitar ever made ( those lights 60s SG specials) -I know Gibson makes an SG special now but it's not the same the neck is way thicker probably so it doesn't snap off but it's definitely a different guitar. I don't believe in the devil but I would sell my soul for this beauty.
Awesome guitar!!! My dad has this exact guitar, the same year too and still in amazing condition🎸🤘
Hi Michael I like the red SG Gibson it has a really nice and you played it really well .I am a jazz guitar player and your style suited the guitar and sounded great.
I've heard the SGs with PAFs and other humbuckers and they sound great like Robbie Krieger and Duane Allman but I have to admit these P-90s are superior in tonal pallet. Thanks ML for the daily master class and Jen you are the unheralded champion of internet video journalism. Norman's Rare is the quintessential stop on the west coast for vintage instruments, thanks Norm.
Krieger had p90 SG's too with Doors...
@@rorogogo6241Exactly; the first he had sported the P-90s.
Going all in on this one, what a Beauty. If I could get one it would be Brick Red and an Ebony Fingerboard no tremolo
Excellent again ML
Oh yeah!!
Damn dude....everything you play is just crazy good.
Holy Smokes! So many beautiful guitars. I can picture the old shop in Reseda on Tampa Avenue with maybe a couple dozen acoustic guitars. And that many electrics. Scott was running the shop more or less. Now it is internationally known. Amazing. Good for you guys. Pretty cool!
For an old lady she has great tones. Very versatile 😊
So I have been going to the Norm’s website over the years but just discovered the UA-cam videos. Please forgive me I’m old, lol. I would ask that Micheal and Angela stop giving me goosebumps when they demo except that it is magical . I am certain my daughter is tired of me saying that whichever one of you happens to be playing in the video is stirring my soul. Thank you for the gift of both of you playing such wonderful guitars. I recently lost my wife to cancer and the beauty of your playing takes me away from the sadness, I can’t thank you enough.
What a beast my dream guitar right there.
The GOAT guitar for rock, imo
Very nice guitar!
Omg that guitar sounds incredible. I need some p90s in my sg
Gotta love SG's!
That bridge p/u!!!
The Allman Brothers Sweet!!
Beautiful guitar. Superb playing as well. Thanks
Any time I see anyone holding or playing an SG, I'm reminded of how genuinely tiny Angus Young is.
Michael, What type of looper do you use? You always make it look so easy,
Thanks in advance..
PEACE
Hey, I'm pretty sure he uses the Ditto. He's mentioned it before.
I believe he still uses a TC Electronic Ditto Looper.
@@davidpepper442 Thank you, PEACE
@@jasonpatton9962 Thank you, Peace
Great playing, Mr. Lemmo! My first Gibson was a ‘67 SG Standard in that same dark cherry-red, narrow clubby neck and all.
Gorgeous guitar
I get Tommy Guerrero vibes from the first tune. That’s not a bad thing at all.
Sounds sweet!
Awesome thanks
I had the exact same guitar, my first and only Gibson, never could bond with it. Sure wish I hadn't traded it off though.
The guitar that invented heavy metal... Ask iommi and he'll tell ya
Lemmo channelling some real Derek Trucks energy in the thumbnail
You can't have an SG in your hands and not play AC/DC...
I have the exact same SG ( same year ) it's really nice...
Michael… please study The Who Live at Leeds and you’ll see what this guitar is all about - some of the finest guitar tone known to man. This was a missed opportunity… still awesome though, I forgive you.
Is that one for me !
Jen got a new camera
Dickey and Duane
and Greg Sage!
Si, The Wipers rock!
Trower!
Batwing guards just look so much nicer to me.
Nice demo, Lemmo!
That neck pickup is sublime. Jealous
🤘🤘🤘🤘
primo tone machine
ABB in honor of the great Derek Trucks and his SG.
Hellyeah
as always--- great stuff!!!! BTW any of the staff hitting NAMM?
It's got that Kalamazoo Kalamacool tone.
Hi how are you rock on dude nice guitar.
Punctuation my man.
Why are SGs so rare on 👏NRGs?
Because once you go SG you don't sell them
Aw man, Robby Kreiger vibes
Is the lightning wrapover bridge original?
Yes
Lemmo Garcia!
Hey Lemmo, does Jen play ??
The Pete Townshend lethal weapon. Pencil neck era. Those three on a strip tuners are really flimsy which is why people changed them to Schallers or Grovers back then.
witch band play the second tone on your video, the one start with bass sound, tnks peace and love
Huge Pete Townshend vibes
Wipers!
Don't give it to Pete Townshend, he'll smash it! 😬🥴😵💫
Highway to Hell, all the Way ⚡
Cant find it on the website to see a price.
Joe Bonamassa already bought it.
I have a 08 SG3. Is it worth hanging on to?
No; give it to me
@@Ottophil It has 3 p90's, just kidding they are uncovered humbuckers, worn ebony.
Does it also come in “in tune”?
How much would that cost me?
Anybody know what Overdrive Lemmo always using?.
'67 with bat wing pick guard?
The bat wing pickguard started in ‘66.
@@vayabroder729 1967 was the first year for the big pickguard Gibson changed the neck joint design in 1969 This guitars neck joint looks 1969 style Because they repeated the six digit serial numbers from 1963 until the early 70s you can not always date them going by the serial number alone you have to look at the way they are made
@@TerroristicNightmares Tony Bacon’s book confirms what I just said.
@@vayabroder729 Have you ever seen a 66 with a small guard ? I have ! Sure 66 was the first year for the big pickguard on SGs but that does not mean they did not use old parts on guitars made at the beginning of the year For Example you will also see sideways tremolos on 1963 SGs made at the beginning of the year They did that to use up old parts
This is a very rare Gibson I say that because it is not a SECOND lol
Michael fucking shreds dude. All the haters on here just want to hear some boomer doing a shitty van halen impression. I really appreciate your music and your ability to celebrate each guitars tone while bringing your unique twist to it.
I for one wouldn't watch these if it were some guitar center hack showing how fast he can play arpeggios.
What haters are you talking about? Everyone's always been super supportive of Lemmo!

👍👍👍✌❤😎
Liz Reed's misdiagnosed amnesia...
Out of tune towards the end - it's a Gibson alright.
Maybe the nut needs a little doctoring although those tuning pegs are a little flimsy IMO.
