This bike is currently being considered as a potential new bike purchase.
Does the Softail chassis suit him, or will it be dismissed as an option when compared to his current bike, a 2020 Harley Davidson Street Glide Special?

I just took one home a couple of weeks ago. I think I'll keep the stock exhaust. After riding my noisy Sportster for the last 6 years I'm really enjoying the quiet. My Sena helmet system never sounded better. Very relaxing driving. I guess I'm getting old. Lovin' the torque.

Nice video. I own a 2018 107 cubic inch Heritage Softail Classic with a stage II upgrade, bought it new, and absolutely love it. I made quite a few modifications and upgrades to it. For an older guy like myself with a disability, the bike is light and easy to handle. The bike is comfortable and rides well rather I'm going out for longer rides or short rides around town. My wife rides with me most of the time, and she is comfortable riding on it. I purchased a thicker padded seat for her, and it made a big difference in comfort. Also, the extra weight on the bike with a passenger makes the bike ride like a Road King--a touring bike feel. I'm planning on getting a backrest for myself from Hogworkz. All-in-all, I have to say that I really love my bike and made the right decision in purchasing a Softail.

Mine is a 2018 in wicked cherry, and has that classic old skool look one you take the bags off (I've come up with a quick detach system I'll be sharing in an upcoming video)

They certainly are a beautiful bike, couldn’t believe the weight difference.
It’s hard not to take the M1 on test rides, just easier.
It’s my commute too, my office is in Sydney.
I've only ever seen you riding Lemmy so it's hard to imagine you owning a different bike - it suits you so well. The soft tail heritage classic really seems to do what it does very well from what you're saying. Doesn't have to be forever, you can always choose again as soon or late as you like. Pity you can't have both! Interesting stuff, might pop this on my "one day" list! And thanks for the shout-out, really cool of you - cheers!

I’ve always noticed they don’t take the corners as well myself but I haven’t ridden a new one. Yeah I didn’t like the windshield on my road king so I bought the fairing. Haha coital Lmaooo. Great review but I can’t see you going from lemmy to a heritage 🤘👍💯❤️

Beautiful bike! I think the heritage classic is the most beautiful Harley. I have a 2015 heritage classic soft tail 103 in the pacific blue color. Mustang seats and back rest linby hiway bar with Vance and hines long shot slip on pipes. Love the bike. Best upgrade is the seat. The stock seats suck no doubt about that! Think I'll put the stock pipes back on after 22000 kms. She's to loud.

@@HarleyThrottleJuice I would also suggest you wait until CCHD has a Low Rider ST demo you can take for a ride. I think this might be the best bike HD have put out in a while and can’t wait to try it myself!

The reason I traded my 2017 Street Glide sp. for the 2022 Heritage Classic is that I only put on 8.2K on the SGs in 5 years. I don't tour very much now and the weight on the front of the SGs was just to much to struggle with.
Perfectly reasonable decision for sure, and one that I may make in time?

I swapped from the RKS to the SGS to help protect me from the wind and elements, mainly on the long road trips.
The Softail frames do not suit me perfectly to be fair, mainly because of my height… someone 6 feet or under would think differently I imagine.
The Low Rider S is not a touring bike, however typically a tall rider would not worry too much about being uncomfortable, because generally they’re not on it all day.

I’d find it hard to go away from the touring chassis unless I got to old to handle the weight of the bike maybe that’s in your category these days🤣 but the only bike I would downsize to would be the low rider ST as I love that style of fairing but I’ll stick to the road glide for now. I think a CVO street glide is calling your name.

@@HarleyThrottleJuice yeah I hear you I weighed up that option why I got a special and put a lot of extras on it worked out slightly cheaper, as you still will want to do upgrades on a CVO atleast exhaust anyway.

I have owned 2 dynas, a 06 softail deluxe 11 road glide, 14 road king, 19,road glide, and currently a 13 road king.. And I think a heritage 114 will be my next.. I don't need. Abig heavy touring bike. At 5'9" and 275 I think the sofwi kwill work better for my height.

@@HarleyThrottleJuice I get bored easy and trade em in 🤣 I've realized my back issues won't allow me to do multi day trips across the country. So a heritage shoukd fit my daily commute to work and weekend trips

I take my 2019 heritage classic I take it 5 to 10 to 20000 if I could get enough money enough money and enough time miles wouldn't bother me a bit I mean I wrote my goldwing all the way from Ithaca New York all the way to Vancouver Canada and that's a whole lot lighter than this you know this hardly so I'll tell you what I have I have no quants of funeral just riding because I just like to ride when I get gone I don't like to stop have fun bye
