Hey Jason,I just bought the Pod Go just a few days back....I already got the hang of it,like creating presets n stuff...But I'm confused about the IR...The sound is kinda flat and shitty..Is that normal for the IR?
Hi jason great informative videos as normal ! Re the. PodGo: am I correct in saying, as the fx send/return block is always in the signal chain, it is also ALWAYS assigned to a foot switch ? Therefore if I mistakingly pressed it and it wasn't cabled up, all sound would stop ! Anyway around this ? Thank you in advance, Paul
Little late to the party with this but just switched over from a pod 300hd to this. Have a preset with an ir. Have the preset loaded and have the ir where it needs to be. When I click to open up preset it says ir not associated with preset even though the ir is loaded :/
Yeah man love the video, obviously from the NE. Us Californians get along well with yall, even tho i live in s florida now. But hey this podgo is great value as it is very close to the helix, minus the dual cabs, but thats so subtle no big deal. Hey do you know what setlists are and how to import them, use them?
When I try to load a preset in and select it, no sound comes through when I play. I've tried searching all over and can't find a solution anywhere! Help!!
When I try to download a preset it says "valid product registration or software purchase required to use CustomTone " ... Can you please help me with this?
Hello from France, first of all thank you for this video, then just 2 constructive comments you could take in account so that ignorants and slow learning people like me can pick up the information more effectively. 1/ you moved your mouse cursor so quickly to explain how to assign the downloaded IR to your preset that I could not pick up the visual information, please in the future do in in a slow motion explaining it at the same time (you did not even explained what was the IR select line and how it worked). try to explain things in a slow basic English (if you want to sell stuff to other people then the English native speakers of course) 2/ some of the pod go buyers are guitar beginners who have never owned any guitar amps and have no clue of what a cabinet, a mike placed on a cabinet and an IR are.. I think you could explain in a few words what it is or to link a video on the subject so that your future clients find ou what it is and then eventually buy your pre-sets and Ir's ( I am an acoustic bad guitar player who just bought an electric guitar). Keep in mind that many people will buy Helixs and pod go as a first guitar sound system because it will make their life easier and will make it possible for them to use soundtrack from you tube, register their music or exercices and all of this with only one 450 dollar pod go and 2 computer speakers. those people (like me) will never own a really guitar amplifier, and most of them play at alone at home for one or 2 years before they meet other musician and jam with them. then you will never find out what the classical analogue gear is ... I think that this will be 80% of your market in the future ... those salespersons usually spend very few time with the clients music shops mostly because beginners are shy clients ... the salespersons in those shops won't invest time to explain them what is a cab, a mike etc etc.. they will have de pré-concived idea that the client knows all of this and the clients will never dare to ask ... it personally took me ages before daring to try a guitar in a shop before buying (because I did not want anybody to to find out how bad I was at guitar). when I lastly got into a store to buy the pod god, I got absolutely no information and only one comment "we are only making a sort of 30 euro profit on this type of gear"... Cheers jm
Hi Jason, do you know what format we should use for our IRs in the Pod Go (.wav or .syx) and which sample rate is preferred (44.1, 48, and 96 khz)? Mine arrives on Thursday and I’ve heard some of the only short comings of the Go are the IR’s and I have some I like to use already. So it sounds perfect to me! Thanks for any help buddy. 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Why (at line6 custom tones) can't we preview presets, it is way too tedious to go through all the steps to download just to see if the preset is worth loading.
Anyone know where I can get some god smack presets for pod go? Edit: I found some on the custom tones that didn't come up when I first searched. Another question is for IR...I've never known how to use them. What they are for. What they do etc. Say I download some godsmack custom tones, will I need to find some type of IR with them as well?
I've loaded several IRs into the library, then picked one for a tone and successfully saved it, but I can't see or find any on the device, only from the software (Pod Go edit). What should I do to get all the IRs loaded into the Pod Go without connecting to the PC?
@@JasonCGuitarOfficial Thanks for your quick reply That's what I did several times, but I only see Sample Ir 1024 and no other options. I've just got it a few days ago, I only updated the firmware before trying to load the IRs. I was thinking of resetting it to factory settings and try again.
@@JasonCGuitarOfficial I figured this out! I feel dumb, haha. I selected the IRs in the block, and then turned the "IR select" knob and I could see only one IR, but it turned out to be that I had loaded many creamback Celest IRs (50 or more) though with different characteristics, and the name shown on screen is the same for all of them, so I thought only one had been loaded. 😂😂
hello. i bought an ir pack from the yorkaudio website and downloaded them from my email. when i go to the folder and click on line 6 files there is a bunch of wav. files. i try to drag them into the impulse section it does nothing or shows a red circle. i also tried user it does same thing. any clue?
Can't wait for my POD GO to arrive! Thanks for the recommendation Jason!
I hope someone pays you ( or there's a place where I can donate!) you are a literal Gig-Saver!! Thank you so much!
Unfortunately no :)
Man, thanks so much for this one! I had no idea how to go about that stuff before, or where to put it if I did find it. Perfect 👍👍
I was wondering why none of the presets I loaded didn’t sound like they were supposed to. I never checked the ir position. Thanks a bunch!!
No problem :)
Life saver...great and clear presentation... now I'm looking at your patches...thanks
Thanks Jason this was really helpful after struggling for some time🙏😎🎸
Thank you, this is fantastic for the new Pod Go user!

Hi Jason, could you please tell me what's the difference between 200ms vs 500ms IR on the pod go and which one should I use?

But hey this podgo is great value as it is very close to the helix, minus the dual cabs, but thats so subtle no big deal. Hey do you know what setlists are and how to import them, use them?
Question, why was the cab okay with the first preset but you had to load the IR to the second one? Wouldnt you just load the IR to both?

Thanks for minimizing the learning curve!! New Sub!
I had to invest in a powered hub $29.99. Did the trick.

I have a question once your hooded up all, and download the tone your picked then how to get into software?
I mean how did you got into new present?
I just bout a package from the store and when I tried to move the file over the IR section it downloaded to the factory file on podgo instead
thanks for posting this. great!
Thank you for the demonstration. Just one question: Is it possible to blend the IR sound with the dry sound?
@@JasonCGuitarOfficial Thanks for answering. Seems like the Pod Go is a good option to pair with my electric violin.
Can you install this program on Macbook?

So should you unplug usb everytime you down load a preset from the site then plug back in?

@@JasonCGuitarOfficial thanks a lot. im not to handy with computers and was trying to drag from the zip file. i extracted them and it works.
If you accidentally drop and drag the IR into a personal preset and it overwrites your preset, can this be reversed after you have saved it ?
No way to reverse it unless you have the original IR.
Now I know why my pod hasn’t worked right when I plug into my computer lol! I always plug into the front! 🤦♂️
Thanks Jason 🤘😎🤘
@@JasonCGuitarOfficial do you have sounds for this set? Constantine Studios
Luke 10:21 Preset for Pod Go
I save my new patch and its overwrite everywhere....please help
the ir's are in my downloads but they don't want to drag over to the edit
I got it working...thank you! That was my first time getting an impulse response. And it’s awesome!
How do you load a guitar IR?
@@JasonCGuitarOfficial Thanks!
