I have a lot to say about SMM. I didn’t create a LLC, or even a business name. I know the social media space well, I have a skill (video editing) and I know how to talk. This is all you need. Provide real, FREE value in the beginning & you’ll sign 90% of ur clients. Be genuine & confident. Don’t be afraid to put yourself out there. U might not make that 1k your first month, but what about in 3-4 months & u have all these recurring payments coming? It stacks. Embrace the journey.

Would you suggest to just do the first year or half of the year for free and then start charging that same client? Because i don't really want to work for that client for free forever.
@@DasosBeats start pricing the client after a month or you can say "I'll make you X amount of clients in X amount of time for free" and after you deliver it, you can start to charge them for your service
@@DasosBeats i would suggest to only do a free first month. The trick is, send them a demo video or 2. Free video and tell them hey even if you don’t wanna work together, here’s this awesome free video you can use. Law of reciprocity makes them feel like ah shit i gotta give this mf sum back.

Hello, very informative video! Everywhere I search I see info about social media management but I feel that I am not getting my questions answered. A company recently approached me to become their social media manager (hopefully I am using this term correctly) and be their content creator as well. I am videographer/photographer and did a promo video for their company for free as you mentioned on the video, they were impressed and they now want me to take over their company's instagram page and do 1 photo-post and 1 story per day + 4 videos per month. Basically I will be doing everything for them.
1st question: What is this called? Social Media Managing? Social Media Marketing? Or are they the same? Trying to search about the terms but I always get different results regarding them
2nd question: Being also a content creator, how do I figure out the pricing? Should I mention a particular pricing involving the content creation alone? Going there, shooting stuff and then editing at home etc. + different pricing for managing their social media? posting, copywriting? (Not sure if I am also getting to handle the ads but apparently they will ask me to do that as well)
I hope you can help me out about how to do research about the matter.

Sounds like you'll be doing social media management for them, if you're creating content, posting, and engaging with their audience! You should price it as a whole and not separate parts.
Think of how much time will be spent doing everything and how much you would charge hourly for each of those parts.
Don't price yourself low as you've already proven to them that you're worth the money! Be sure to get a contract in place that states how many hours of work you'll do for them and if you end up doing more hours, charge for each hour over! You need to be paid for your work!

I already met with the client but although I did a whole presentation with packages etc. they were a bit low budget. Ironically they have over 17 restaurants and they are building like 2-3 more, but they really don't want to pay for good quality content, but I've already been approached by other similar niches so I guess I can work things out!

I know that with flick I can schedule videos on IG and TikTok but I realised that the engagment on those videos that were posted and scheduled torugh flick is very bad actually. Is it only me?
Meta has said they do not penalize content posted from approved schedulers (like Flick). I would make sure you are using #’s on your posts to maximize reach to the right audience!

is it possible to be an in office social media manager? im really interested in pursuing this career path, but i would still love that office and community work setting? a lot of what i’ve seen has been independent and from home work. i would love to pursue smm, especially if i can still have a community based work place!

You’re literally telling beginners to create a resumé with their experience. If they are a beginner, there is no experience. Also, the links to the “free courses” are nowhere to be found in the show notes. This video is so extremely vague and unhelpful to anybody wanting to start. Sheesh.
