    You can redesign it to be single side assembled, to get it thinner. There are upside down LEDs and, instead of mechanical switch just use touch one.

      nah touch is so boring, everything is using touch nowadays.

      Could also use a coin cell battery like CR2032 rather than bulky AAA batteries

      One day I’ll remake it and use ultra thin (paper thin lipos) and a different game. I’ll keep this in mind :) thanks!

    Do you know those hand crank flashlights that you squeeze a lever on instead of rotation one? Maybe you can make the game mechanic for making the bird flap, the squeezing so you don't need a battery.

      He may be a genius, but I don’t want anyone to think you need to be a genius to do this.
      PCB design is way scarier from the outside. If you want to start somewhere, go download some PCB CAD software RIGHT NOW. Just put your name and info on it and upload the file to JLPCB. Order 20 single layered boards in your favorite color. Once that’s delivered, and your PCB in your hands, it won’t be so intimidating.
      From there, learning to do a simple circuit, even your own ESP32 based device is just a number of google searches away.

    Dude i was just thinking about making something similar. How did you get those tiny LEDs soldered on there? I melt them like 70% of the time with my soldering iron.

    • @stuckatprototype
      @stuckatprototype  6 годин тому

      I got them down with a reflow oven. I also use low temperature solder for prototypes, so much easier to work with 👍

      You can use other manufacturers they brag how it is only 100 dollars per board 😢

    "This project helped me land a job back when humans still read resumes!" Great, so your advice is inapplicable to the modern applicant... I've got a portfolio. The trick is getting a human who knows what they're looking at to look at it.
