For dance there’s always those two teachers that fix your costume right before you go on stage like someone’s gonna see it 😂 it always makes you almost miss it and the little kids are like “you almost missed it” 😂

I love the designs but I wonder wouldn’t you see the green under the skirt after the transformation after she starts skating again? I’m sure most people wouldn’t look for it but I’m a former figure skater and costume designer and I feel like that would drive me bananas! But the other side is you wouldn’t want any pieces to land on the ice and possibly be skated over.

Hi can u plz tell me how to stitch the fishing line to dress
ammu here I made loose loops out of fishing line that were tacked down between each loop. Then I threaded the pull lines loosely through the loops so they held the side seams together but could smoothly and easily be pulled to release the seam.
Can u please tell me what material were u using the loops?

Can you do a tutorial on how you sew those fishing line in the dress??
The rigging was done by using the eye (part of an extra large hook and eye set) sewn to both sides of the opening in a staggered alternating format. I “sew” the opening closed like a piano hinge alternating from side to side, using the fishing line “rip cord” on a plastic ring pull. Fold the line in half and threaded it through the loops, tuck the extra line inside the dress to take up all the slack leading to the pull ring. The break away seam can be threaded to pull from the top or bottom but it needs to be worked into the choreography. Email me if you want more help. Gina@PsychoSeamstress.com

This looks amazing! Your work is wonderful! I wonder if you'd consider a name change away from "psycho" as that has some pretty negative connotations, especially to those with certain mental health conditions. No hate, but just in case you hadn't considered it before.
How do you put the fishing line BACK in place though?
I fold the line to make a loop and then weave it back through the loops on each side of the seam to close it up again.
