The B-1 is magnificent to see live. I got chills seeing it at an airshow. You can't help but think of the hundreds of thousands of parts all working perfectly together built by American craftsmen. So sleek and fast, almost tiger-like.
If you talk to the people that maintain that thing, "sleek and tiger-like" would not be their choice of words to describe that old leaky Cold War relic.
@Arole Flynn Yes the beautiful Aston Martin, the DB9 is my favourite but I'm a bit disappointed in the new Aston Martin , it looks too angular, it has lost it's elegant curves. If I could afford one I wouldn't be buying the latest model, I'd go to Bentley now. In my dreams. :-)
@Arole Flynn Oh DB9 in silver, yes indeed, that is perfection, smooth curves do seem to look best in silver. I did see a DB9 in British Racing Green in an Ikea car park ( they weren't buying a wardrobe I'm sure) and it looked gorgeous but silver wins every time. Do you remember what Jeremy Clarkson said when comparing a Ferrari with a DB9 ? Turn up for a date in a Ferrari and she will think "show off" and "flashy" . Turn up in an Aston Martin DB9 and she will leave her husband for you. Brilliant !

to me, the most impressive was an F-15 in the evening, AFTER the air-show (in Memminger-Berg), when it flew back to Ramstein-base! There we could see, why this fighter held the climbing-record of the time. The B-1B is the most beautiful plane though, I really like it.
I like this Beautiful B-1 B Lancer! I found it in 2001 Really Amazing that the B-1 B Lancer has Doing a Barrel Roll. This one has come from the Mountain Home Airbase in the USA Greetings from Germany!

B-1s are sick. I caught several of them taking off at Robins AFB back in the early 90s. Later found out they were headed to the Bosnian conflict. I can still hear the roar of those beasts.
Of the three main strategic bombers in the USAF I've got to say the B-1 is certainly the most impressive. It might not be as big as the B-52 and not as stealthy as the B-2, but seeing a massive strategic bomber not only look like a fighter but even fly like one is certainly incredible to watch. Also, notice their choice in music that they're playing at the show? Interesting that they chose the soundtrack from Aliens.

I was by the fence to the side of the runway when this happened at Cottesmore. Anybody that says this aircraft or that aircraft is the loudest obviously haven't heard the B1 take off. The ground was shaking.
I live at the point where the B2 Spirit bombers coming out of Whiteman AFT Missouri have attained enough altitude that they make their turn and start the climb to cruising altitude. Because the exhaust is on top of the wing, they are actually very quiet until they turn and pull the nose up, then everything rattles.

I too have a soft spot for the B1. Unfortunally never seen one, not even on the ground. But boy are they beautiful and impressive! When I get filthy rich I'd like to have one myself converted to Business Jet. Pretty please? ;)
Something scarier, the B-2 is structurally and physically capable of a higher roll rate than the F-4 phantom. Remember reading about it when it first rolled out. Don't know if they've ever done it,but the capability is there.
One of the many aircraft on my bucket list to see, along with a bunch of others in this video. The B-1 is so cool to watch because it looks, and moves, like a giant fighter. It's quite a sight on video, must be many times more so in person.

What a gorgeous aircraft
Absolutely not saying that it’s easy or I could do better, but that B1 landing was F I R M
Going to RIAT tomorrow!! Setting off for the hotel in around six hours
lol, little is known about yoda's early years as a F16 pilot XD
This is scary! How many of these are no longer in service! And do l have to say l was impressed with the B1B ?..... oh all right then !! Thanks for the great content .
Really hope we have a performance from the b1b lancer at 50 years air tattoo!
I too have a soft spot for the B1. Unfortunally never seen one, not even on the ground. But boy are they beautiful and impressive! When I get filthy rich I'd like to have one myself converted to Business Jet. Pretty please? ;)
Honestly I never thought something that big can pull those maneuvers.
Something scarier, the B-2 is structurally and physically capable of a higher roll rate than the F-4 phantom. Remember reading about it when it first rolled out. Don't know if they've ever done it,but the capability is there.
It's almost like a gigantic jet fighter
Joachim Osmundsen With 20 times the payload! :-)
OK, I'll say it, the Bone is the all-time best looking aircraft.
(Sorry, B-17, you had a good 80 years.)
what a great airshow
A B-1B from Ellsworth AFB flies down Sturgis Main Street every Black Hills Motorcycle Rally. You can’t hear the bikes.
B1 is the World’s biggest fighter.....
One of the many aircraft on my bucket list to see, along with a bunch of others in this video. The B-1 is so cool to watch because it looks, and moves, like a giant fighter. It's quite a sight on video, must be many times more so in person.
WOW, back then airshows where something else 😅
Did that announcer guy call @6:45 The B1B Bouncer :| where'd he get that name from it's known as the B1B Lancer or Bone by the crews.
"Intercontinental heavy bombers are not aerobatic rated, limit roll angle to no more than 60°."
B-1B Lancer pilot: "Someone hold my beer, I'm going to try something."
Thats one of the most fearsome planes in the world. Bad thing is in a conflict if you see it overhead. Thats the last aircraft you will ever see and "what the" be your last words😯
The B2a is intense.
The B2 sounded like a hoover vacuum cleaner.
