No, Tennessee Orange is that "inside of a pumpkin, throw-up Orange." Texas is traditional Burnt Orange. That looks like a more sophisticated orange-orange.

Dear Cambridge, the burnt orange cover is beautiful. Unlike the host of this channel, who clearly has your ear, there are a lot of folks like me who really love the new colored covers. I've seen black, brown, and burgundy my whole life and I'm pretty tired of the same old thing. I encourage you to be creative with new colors of leather covers.

I am excited for this Bible. I love the CSB translation as well as the Diadem design. I already have the ESV with Apocrypha Diadem and will definitely be adding the CSB to my collection. I am surprised by how much I love the burnt orange color. I usually go with darker colors but that color orange is beautiful.
It would be cool to have the Biblioteca revisions in a single bible that I could carry to church. I really like the Orange, my High School and one of my colleges UT-Austin use orange, HS orange n Black. I may have to go for this one. I think this size might eliminate the Pitt Minion, my KJV PM is just too small a font for my old eyes. Thanks for the video, I like your reading a bit of the Bible you're reviewing. That's really what the Word is about anyway.

Hey Tim, I could use some prayers. Almost a statistic. I had pulmonary embolisms ( clots broke loose and went to my lungs) after my total knee surgery. My happy places are my Bible study times and watching Bible channels on You Tube. Prayers that this resolves with the meds I am on. SUPER SCARY to suddenly not be able to breathe. Please and Thank you.

I do not like the orange at all, to be honest. Holman has a burnt sienna (thinline) that I much prefer. I absolutely love the style of this Bible with the font, traditional layout with the references in the center column. Perhaps the only reason I don't like the Diadem (aside from the cost -- and why don't they make an affordable version that is synthetic leather?) is that I find it too wide, making it look more "square" than I would like. The ESV thinline reference Bible is a great example of dimensions that I love, but it lacks in quality of presentation (i.e. the center column has no lines to set it apart, the font seems too crowded for the pages, etc.). Just some thoughts...
you know what would be an interesting detail to put in a bible is: whatever color the leather is on the outside of the bible, make the words of Christ in the New Testament that same color. i.e. Burnt Orange Calfskin = Burnt Orange colored words of Christ in the New Testament. i think i can safely say No One has ever done that kind of thing before. i think it'd be pretty cool. not sure how it would work out exactly but, it'd be cool if a publisher could find a way to do that.

Oh no, I like this more than I thought I would. If the liner had been brown, that would have been a perfect bible cover to me. Fall vibes. Though thankfully, I don't think there's enough space between the lines for me to read that comfortably. So my wallet won't take the hit. 😂

The first premiere I have missed this year. Wow what a great colour. I like orange. Some cultures believe that Orange is the colour of happiest. That suits me because I am always happy reading my bible. Is that orange under gold guilding?

I got a CSB Holman LP ultrathin reference in goatskin. I have to use a pencil for my margin notations. Enuf margin for 10 notes per page. I bought it from Ollies.
I hope they do the CSB in the Topaz. I like (need 😉) a larger font. 😊

Nice looking bible. I’m waiting for an NKJV version; I really like the size of the KJV Concord, and I think this comes close. For me, it’s the perfect size, and with premium materials. Hopefully coming soon! Thanks for reviewing this Bible, good job as always, love your reviews

Thanks Tim. For me, the Diadem strikes the perfect balance of EDC and a hand-held daily reader due to its size, format, and build quality which results in a great hand feel - just holding it is an experience in itself. I do have some concerns though...I'm curious about the line matching on your copies across the three translations so far. I have the ESV in hardcover (Belarus) - perfectly line-matched. NASB (Jongbloed), on the other hand, has very poor line-matching, not to mention uneven print - it's all over the place. How is this one?
I agree, I had a look through the NASB Diadem in brown calfskin & was so shocked at how faded some of the print was in several sections, I mean really bad, especially for the cost. The ESV was fine.
I like the orange color, Tim. It looks to be just a bit darker than the Humble Lamb orange, but it's difficult to judge color accurately off of a screen. As a lover of Cambridge Bibles, I will most probably purchase one of these to add to my Cambridge collection. I just wish Cambridge would publish a NLT version in the Diadem or the Topaz. I have a Pitt Minion NLT so it should not be too difficult for Cambridge to increase the size of that Bible to obtain a Diadem NLT. (Well, one can always hope.)

Nice....excited to see the CSB added. Can you tell me what was in between the Concordance and the maps? Usually, the CSB has some really nice "Where to Turn" sections located there. Just wondering if that's been omitted or not. At 52, I'm just now got my first Minion and have been enjoying it, but would imagine that the Diadem would be nice to have.

Nice review. I have to say that orange really isn't a bad color. I am interested in the CSB version at some point & this Bible looks really nice. However, my aging eyes don't like the font size. 🤓

I used to say that orange was my lucky color.
My next bible could be a csb with apocrypha. When it ever gets made. Tyndale House put out a catholic NLT bible so maybe it could happen I don't know. But maybe I should really just stick to the World English Bible or NAB?

Tim, I am looking for the Bible that is right for me but I don't think it exists. I am looking for a single column, NLT, verse by verse, with colored headings or chapter numbers. I am willing to have it rebound for that leather full yapp bookmark goodness but need a Bible to start with. Any ideas? We should work together on a database to make things like this easily searchable and we could provide video links to your reviews on it as well.

Humble Lamb just announced that they are going to publish the NLT later this year. Perhaps their new offering might meet your needs. Look for their announcement soon.

Kinda looks like my saddle leather single column personal size. Of course they have to make a blue one 🙄. Rather see it in the Clarion as I’m now sold on single column. Although notes on the outside bugs me 🤭

There is so much wrong with the Diadem, for me. My vision is poor so I require at least 10.5, which is still a bit of a struggle for my eyes when it is not a verse by verse. When you were showing close ups of printed pages, I paused the video to see if I could easily find the verse numbers. The answer was NO. I would like to thank Cambridge though, because they saved me money. :)
Perhaps you would find the Cambridge Topaz suitable for you. They just released the Topaz NASB2020 and I'm hoping they will do a CSB version in the future. The Topaz has a very readable 10pt font which might be just what you need.
I love the CSB, I love orange, I’ve been waiting for this Cambridge forever…. but there is no way I would carry that thing. 😬
