The R7 is a more “refined” version of the Les Paul with the ABR-1 and humbuckers, but there is something cool about the simple wrap around bridge and a set of nasty P90s. The R4 sustains for days and there are a lot of good options such as the Music City Bridge for precise intonation with a plain G.
@ I’ve played a number of Murphy lab instruments. Some great, some not so much. Some of the relic’d guitars feel a little fake to me. It’s highly subjective. Personally I really like the VOS guitars.
