- Ukraine said it shot down a Russian Tu-22M3 strategic bomber for the first time on Friday, destroying a warplane capable of carrying long-range missiles used to attack Ukrainian cities.
#Stavropol #Russia #Ukraine
The Russian defence ministry said the strategic bomber had crashed in Russia's southern Stavropol region, hundreds of kilometres from Ukrainian-controlled territory, as it returned to base after carrying out a combat mission.
It said the crash appeared to have been caused by a technical malfunction.
The Russian regional governor said the pilots had ejected, but that one of them had died.

usually when airplanes get hit by missiles, theres all sorts of malfunctions happening.
Deep inside Russia... and these jets evade air defences by their speed. So how is this then a missile?
And what is more: We can all be saviours of freedom and contribute to containing Russia. For example, by donating to United24 which funds drone programmes.
What's the missiles got to do with it? The plane crashed on the territory of Russia
Njet problem, is normal katastrof!
Before war even for ruzzia, planes weren't falling down out of blue and so often.
"theres all sorts of malfunctions happening." Doesn't look like that falling plane is healthy
Speaking as a pilot, don't believe anyone saying it's a malfunction, especially as it's happening every week or two, with similar videos. A missile obviously destroyed the engines, cut the fuel lines which are spewing and flaming, and likely severed any cabling or hydraulic lines to control the elevator and rudder, otherwise the plane would have been gliding. The loss of power + loss of control can easily lead to a stall, which can then become a flat spin, and then...boom 🙂
But made it 200km after, doesn't make sense.
💯 a missile can fuse too early/late so most of the plane is untouched. a few fragments cut lines/get sucked into intake = unpowered glider within seconds
The Russian tank turrent have seen more air time than that aircraft

Stale joke.... Give it a rest🤡

engine failure more likely than ukrainian missiles flying 300km
@@theapple3160yes, an engine failure that started a fire on its tail! 😂😂
Actually it's way more likely that they shot it down with their own air defense.. they have shot dozens of their own plans down..

This plane has attacked it's last apartment block. $200 million worth of scrap metal.
300млн
It was always a piece of junk scrap metal in the first place, after being built by the inept russian gangster defense companies. Now it is just a highly modified piece of scrap metal according to official russian news outlets.
300 million actually. Of course Russia will never admit it was shot down and will blame a crew member for smoking a cigarette like they did on the Moskva and they claimed that's the reason it sunk.....Lol
@@patrickbrinkmeier1858 They have already claimed it was friendly fire. It's so strange how the orcs air defence can shoot down russian planes with ease. Yet miss a plane travelling a 1000km from Ukraine.

Ah yes a technical malfunction that cause the tail end of the aircraft to catch fire and send it in a horizontal spin. That’s what a plane looks like after being hit in the tail by a missile.
Engine fire is a thing
Tailspin by a missile, I heard 1st time.

Many air defense missiles are proximity detonation weapons. This means they are designed to detonate within a certain range of the target if the missile detects a direct hit isn't possible. This detonation sends shrapnel through the target, creating substantial damage in the hopes of disabling the target, if not destroying it. The bomber certainly could have sustained such a hit and continued flying before the fire/damage grew to a point where flight wasn't maintainable.
Forcément , maintenant , il volera beaucoup moins bien !!
A shocking fall from grace ??? or disgrace ???
More like a fall from space
A technical malfunction that caused a fire and flat spin? I doubt that.
It happened to Maverick and Goose.

This plane crashed due to a technical problem 350 km from the border with Ukraine in the Stavropol Territory in the foothills of the Caucasus. Ukraine simply does not have such air defense systems to shoot down a plane at such a distance. The anti-aircraft missile had to fly through the entire Sea of Azov, Rostov region, Stavropol Territory to the Caucasus.
Embarrassing to Russia! Fail!

Not really, this happens 0.001% of the time. Happens more often to NATO forces.

The official version of Russia: Leakage and fire of the hydraulic system. Considering that the plane was falling vertically downwards, the version with an air defense missile hit looks like complete nonsense.

Definitely looks like it got hit by a missile. Friendly fire 300+km inside Russia doesn’t make any sense. SAM operators should already know where that Tu-22M3 was and where it was going. They get briefed on this kind of stuff in advance. And they should have friend or foe identification capability
Yeah.
If that plane is shot down so far from Ukraine and Ukraine does not have anti-aircraft robots with such a long range, it leans towards NATO missile.
If it's true.
NATO doesn't have many types of anit-aircraft missile which can reach so far. The only one I can think of would be the Standard Missile 6, which is usually deployed on warships. It'd be an interesting development if someone gave the Ukrainians that, but there are much more practical and versatile things they could send.
Maybe it was a missile fired from a Ukrainian jet
@@jeffbenton6183It leans towards NATO when Ukraine does not have that capability, if that is true.
We know that there are many NATO specialists in Ukraine who are being hunted by the Russian missiles almost every day. Often the buildings in which they live.
