The media is your friend , but it’s also your worst enemy… any attorney who is competent and wants to see your client win would not want to publicize a case …. You hear him usually a defendant doesn’t speak out until after the trial … smiles and says: but that’s not the case here ,…my opinion the media will cover a ham&cheese sandwich of it can garnish millions of views .

That’s actually the biggest problem here and IMO the reason that the prosecution isn’t letting up. Michael proctor investigated another high profile murder that hasn’t gone to trial yet and it should be a slam dunk unless Michael proctor’s corruption is uncovered. Not only that but every other case he’s investigated… it will be another Annie ducan but on a much larger scale. These aren’t drug dealers, we’re talking about murderers going free.

Biggest aspect for me: There's the dead body of a cop on their front lawn and NO ONE in the house came out when the other cops showed up. Including the cop who lived there never came out! Then he has the basement re-done and ripped up AGAIN, after having it done only 3 years before and then sells this family home almost immediately at $50,000 LESS than asking price. In this housing market? Explain that, Wendy!

You don't get dog bites on your arm from getting hit by a car. Please explain that. The only way to get to a dog was through the house he supposedly never entered. I worked in the clerks office in a small town in Indiana. I could not believe the power and corruption within the whole county. And I hate to admit that the power is intoxicating. A man was yelling at me about an order and I told him if he didn’t leave he would be arrested. The deputy on security duty says”did u hear what she said? I will arrest u” Thats when I realized why people get big egos and power trips. Not to mention all of the sexual favors the prosecutor would receive for expunging records. The list goes on and on. Yeah, that is truly rare, for sure! And how do they explain away the testimony of the plow driver? I don't think anyone in that house intended to kill him, but I sure as hell don't think he died because she hit him with her car. The Google search from inside the house about how long it takes for someone to freeze to death? If people don't find that and the plow driver convincing evidence of at the very least reasonable doubt, I don't know what will. I took her and her lawyer's initial statements with a healthy dose of scepticism, because defense attorneys trying cases in the court of public opinions is so extremely in vogue these days. But the more I learn, the more my scepticism is shifting to the other side.

I mean that can be explained by the way the mind processes traumatic situations. Imagine dropping off your boyfriend and you go back hours later to find him and instead you find his body in almost the exact place you left him. I think any reasonable person would be overcome, and trying to process what is happening and question if you played a part is perfectly natural. What I find convenient is all police seem to have no memory and that’s included in their official reports “misidentifying” the address it took place is a good example of that.

My theory and a lot of others:there was a beef between John O’Keefe and someone in that house. He was lured to the party for purpose of roughing him up, teaching him a lesson (“Hey John, come on ovah for a couple of pops”). I’m sure everybody was shitfaced and amped up and O’Keefe fought back and it got ugly. He had a head wound, probably whacked him with a weight or something, dog got sicced on him, who knows, but it went too far. Then the coverup started. The investigation was total SHAM! Remember, there is NOTHING worse than dirty cops! And I’m pro cop, law and order. But come on, did you see the photos of his wounds? That turtleboy character is spot on with this case. The states case makes absolutely no sense & the evidence doesn't seem to add up to a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. The 2:27am google search "hos long to die in cold" is telling but then you find out that the Boston cop whose house the dead Boston cop was found at, never came outside during the investigation!! Then you have the taillight that was broken on camera at 5 something in the a.m. added to the missing 2 minutes of library video(the precise 2 minutes when Karen would've driven by) on top of the autopsy photos that basically eliminate any hit by car theories & this case should never see trial. The DA in this case is incompetent & should resign immediately.

But, I have some questions for you. I don't have a dog in this fight, just to be clear, I only watch these kinds of shows, because I love head scrathers. So, to my questions.
      1. Do you think, that a cop can just start investigating, or collecting evidence, and carry on for himself, without a direct order from the lead detective?
2, Do you think, that any lead detective will let a half, or totally drunk cop start any investigations, especially when he is himself at the scene of the accident/murder?
      3. If you were the lead detective, would you not have told those under you, to stay out of view. To keep a very low profile, and most importantly to not get involved in the case? Sort of like a doctor won't be allowed to operate on his wife, but stand helpless outside, and out of the way.
      4. I need some more information. Such as, pictures of the scene of the incident, the weather forecast for that day. We know it must've been dark. We suspect everybody was drinking, and had been drinking quite a lot. I have been in that condition in my young days, and I never went to look for anyone who didn't come in, I just carried on for myself.
      5. How quickly did the snow cover his body?
      6. Was the dog outside, and did it unobserved torture the man lying in the snow, or did it try to get the man up? Is it a vicious dog, or friendly. If it was vicious, then it was about time to get rid of it. If it thought it was just playing with a toy doll, who knows?
So, that's it for now. More pressing questions will certainly continue to pop up in my head, and then I will ask you more. You may be knowing more than me.

@@TheSybil47 Trooper Proctor IS the lead investigator. He was in charge. The drunk stuff you mentions is not part of this case. As for underlings to stay out of view, you'd have to be more specific because none of that applies to this either.
Jen called John several times as well as texted him, That's been proven forensically. The Defense contends these attempts at communication took place in a panic AFTER John was incapacitated to make it look as though he never made it inside (even though Apple Health data show he was inside and went up and down stairs)
Only 2" of snow had fallen when his body was "discovered". No evidence except John's cell phone was found by the search team at that time. However, after 12 MORE inches of snow had fallen at the scene, the Trooper Proctor-directed team found broken taillight pieces ON TOP of the snow.
The dog was always inside. The dog had already sent several people to the ER for bites. A fact that the Prosecution went to great lengths to hide (hiding Animal Control reports). As soon as the Alberts (homeowners) were named as possible culprits, the dog all but vanished and no one knows where it is.

Why don't they get experts who look at the case? That attorney believes Karen may have done this, and he hit his head on the driveway, and the reason he wasn't seen was he was covered in snow.
There was less than 2 inches of snow, and he wasn't near the driveway. As an expert attorney she should understand blood evidence.. none.
Well, there was plenty, but they moved him. There was no blood where he was found.
She obviously didn't see the autopsy photos. Maybe she should have looked at those.
The real snow came later that day. At 6 pm, there was 1 1/2 feet where John's body was found. That's when they found his shoe and the taillight. At 6am, he had 1 shoe. They found it within the area already searched in 1 inch of snow. Searched using leaf blowers.
I dont understand why a so-called expert would give an opinion to a case she has no clue about.
Since her reasons for believing Karen could have done it... is based on wrong information, maybe she should give another opinion looks at the facts of the case. She had no clue where his body was found or where the state said he was hit. Not anywhere near the driveway. He was on the grass covered with very little snow.. a dusting maybe??

As someone coming into this case just now learning about it I like to listen to both sides and not a single shred of evidence in this case points to her killing him if anything the only people that look guilty are the people that were in that house. There is so much reasonable doubt in this Case that it should have NEVER even been brought to trial.
If you look at a lot of the evidence you can already tell that this case is fishy. Just look at all of It together. The first wrong thing is that none of the people in the house came outside when the Police showed up to investigate the Dead cop in the driveway. Not even just that she doesn't have a broken tail light, there is no blood in the driveway, there's no blood on her car. There is also the dog bite that needs to be put into question. And also the Google search at 2 o'clock in the morning about how long does it take a body to die in the cold. But also why is the prosecution fighting so hard to prevent the defense from getting phone evidence from people that were at the crime scene? And then speaking on phone evidence how is it possible that she hit him but his phone is showing movement after she dropped him off. Movement that looks like someone walking into a house and around the house. Sounds to me like multiple persons are hiding a lot of things that need to come to light.
Also I'm sure the lady you brought on to the show is a very smart woman but she clearly has no idea what she is talking about and has not looked into this case to understand why people have the point of view they are taking.

Wow, Wendy Murphy is a law professor? I hope she prepares better for her lectures than she did for this interview, because her ignorance regarding the facts of the case is incredible. Or is she just so incredibly pro-prosecution that she is blind to the facts?
People absolutely believe that Karen is innocent - I haven’t seen or heard anybody who is speaking out against this prosecution that is saying she was overcharged or that it was just an accident. There is not one convincing piece of evidence to indicate she is guilty - the damage to her vehicle doesn’t match up and is also explained through another incident that is shown on surveillance video, the injuries found at autopsy don’t match up with the charges, and those injuries, or just one small part of the evidence that she wasn’t responsible: the dog bites, the activity tracker, the snowplow driver, and then there’s the number of things that are sufficient to raise reasonable doubt, such as the Internet searches, the dog disappearing, the house suddenly being dumped, etc.
Short of the prosecution having surveillance video that shows that she hit him and then a dog mauled him while he was lying on the ground - which would surely have to be disclosed by this time , and the defence would be seeking a plea bargain - I don’t see where the prosecution has a hope in hell of conviction.

Often times immediate news reporting on crime stories like this get their information through their “police sources”. This is why it’s interesting to watch all the immediate reporting on this case because it gives you an idea of how the conspirators, or real perpetrators, wanted this story framed to the public. Since news reporting doesn’t have the strict thresholds and guidelines that a police report or court document do, you can get a true sense of the narrative shaping the police or the state are doing, because they’re not required to back up what they relay to the news with any facts or evidence. The amount this story has changed and the number of times the goalposts have moved from the initial reporting on it is enlightening. Certainly not the trend you see in an honest, transparent and well-founded prosecution.

So explain the blunt force trauma to the arm that looks like dog scratches or defensive wounds, and the retro active blood levels, and the homeowner ditching his dog, replacing his flooring and selling his house and major falsification of plowing records and how does a relatively soft body break a tail light. Survey says....NOT

I'm so glad you had "Turtle Boy" on you're show. I too watched what was being said especially his injuries aren't true. I started commenting & someone sent me a reply with only one 2 words"Turtle Boy' & I didn't know what it meant. I goggled it & found this guy & that God bc he's not afraid to speak the truth. I live in a City in Ontario but watch all 🇺🇸 Court & Crime News & I can't wait until Karen Reid walks out to of Court & those responsible get indited. He was murdered in that house & what a huge house on a cops income! Ontario, 🇨🇦 ❤ Love Court TV & everyone working there! 😊

This is eerily similar to that cop who ran over a bicyclist and then hid his body behind a snow pile to die and acted like he didn’t do anything.
