- After a nine hour flight from Elmendorf AFB in Alaska, six F-22 Raptors land at RAF Lakenheath ahead of a long deployment at various locations around Europe (Spangdahlem or Łask?). I'm not sure how long these will end up staying here at Lakenheath.

I love it when people always try to argue the J-20 or Su-57 are anywhere near the competition these are. Congratulations, China and Russia - you're just now getting technology we had 30 YEARS AGO.
Yeah I believe the f-22 is better in literally every way
China hasn’t even shown a glimpse of the j-20s capabilities to the public. Probably because it’s not capable or atleast reliable to it’s claims. Then Russia only has 14 SU-57 in service and barely manages to keep up with those, they have dumped so many resources just to get that far. Whereas the US has 125 F-22 in service and before 2030 lockhead will have a 6th bird in the sky that is probably capable beyond what we can imagine right nowZ
And only because they stole it from us , and can’t innovate anything or ever have an original idea

From what I have read the F-22 is likely the most lethal fighter ever made. The problem is only 187 were built largely due to their cost. But 187 is still a lot of anything with this capability. Amazing to see this footage.
The cost isn’t an issue if they tell the company Lockheed they won’t buy them until they meet fair price for each and truth be told they are the second best fighter in the world behind the SU-57 Which out preforms it as it’s newer and has improvements in aeronautics/super manoeuvrability

This is one of the few human creations that consistently leave me in awe whenever I see it in pictures or videos.
Went to school across the street from LM where these were built and they would test fly them as they came off line. Awesome jets.

To this day I'm still chuffed to say I have walked around the inside of a Galaxy; It was at Greenham Airbase, around 1980. ✌🏼🌍
I lived on the flight path of greenham common with galaxy c5. Coming over our house every week...serious stuff leg syndrome!!....now I walk my dog up there every day but have happy memories of the aircraft that used to fly into it.
Greenham IAT takes me back! Gotta feeling it was held in odd calendar years and it would’ve been ‘79 or ‘81. Any airshow nerds out there know the Greenham IAT years ?

They used to bring them to the Dayton Airshow in the 90's. Kids, like me, got to visit the cockpit. It's quite the view from up there.

It would take a normal commercial air liner roughly 14 hours to make it from Anchorage to London the Raptors did it in 9 supersonic cruise is amazing.

This is part of the new Rapid Raptor program. They want to be able to have 20 of then anywhere in the world in 24 hours.

How do you sit in a tight space for 9 hours straight? As a passenger on a regular commercial flight, I can stand up, walk around, sleep, and go to the bathroom. We're not talking any war flight yet.

Out of absence of knowledge: Isn't it dangerous to have civilians near the rolling field? Why would the airforce like people to be able to interfere while landing. Even if they only have cameras there. However, are they even controlled/checked by security?

Chinas economy is going to collapse in 34 days & they are going to move towards the Taiwan invasion. Russia is holding back & only using 20% of its military power. Their precise strategy is to go all in on ukrane during winter. There is food shortages & everything is way too expensive. It’s going to be a cold winter everyone please prepare
Considering the F-22 Raptor is the replacement for and surpasses the F-15 Eagle in mock combat, yet not one single Eagle has been lost in air-to-air combat against Soviet-made aircraft while destroying over one hundred in return, I don't that Russia will be too pleased to see Raptors closer to its borders. The F-22 is such an amazing aircraft. It moves like no other. I'll never forget the time I went to the Ocean City airshow in Maryland. We arrived a day early, and as we were checking in to our hotel the whole place shook. We ran outside and saw two F-22s doing low loops over the hotels as a little sneak peak of what was to come.
And it looks smaller than a bumble bee on radar.

Beat the f16 97 times at Edward's during tests. Before even 1 f16 got a lock and still evaded the simulated missile.
The pilot said it was picking apples out of a barrel for locking and simulating kills. It'd go up against a wing at a time on its own and take them all.

I saw 6 F-22s fly over my house earlier today. Fucking crazy.
My current understanding is that the six I saw were not the ones in this video, but another flight bound for Iceland - with these six bound to depart tomorrow. Keep an eye out :)

The current F22 has been upgraded and really isn’t comparable to the original aircraft that came out 20 years ago. Everybody is going on about the Russian SU57 but there really is no comparison. Yes, the Russian plane might be more manoeuvrable but it’s the AWACS system the F22 uses that sets it’s apart from the rest. The F22’s stealth has a range of over 200km, the Russian planes don’t come close to this. It’s like the Russian plane is looking in the dark with a flashlight and the F22 has headlights on a car. You won’t ever see an F22, it will see you though. The F22 is more or less a 5.5th generation fighter jet now that it’s been upgraded. The USAF has already apparently treated a 6th generation fighter jet that they hope to have in service by 2030 under the NGAD programme.
There are only 10 SU-57's with 6 operational. You should have at least 10 before it counts. They thought that they would export alot of them allowing Russia to pay for more for herself, but since war in Ukraine orders for SU-57 have been cancelled by India.
Sorry to disappoint you but you cannot be sure about the stealth thing and all that story of one can see and the other can't. You don't know Russian radars, probably noone soo......

F-22s are awesome fighter aircraft. Wish there is a fighter aircraft film, something like TOPGUN that features F-22 dogfighting.

Good Morning from Portugal, next year I am going to RIAT 2023 in the UK, I hope the F-22A Demo team appears, or the B-2 again or a rare American aircraft. I think the UK is the best for military aircraft spotting, there are Chinooks, Ospreys, Typhoons flying everywhere every day, especially in London excluding the typhoons. Not to mention commercial spotting too, Heathrow airport is a thing, when I used to live in London for 10 years I saw *A LOT* of military aircraft! Is this RAF Lakenheath?

I live about 5 miles from a joint base and these past few months the skys have been louder than they have ever been …. The other night there was some aircraft so dam loud it shook the apartment at 3:00 in the morning … I’m willing to bet it was some of these f 22s seeing as the are manufactured here too
Stealth bomber was the best aircraft ive ever seen in the UK.Amazing to look at.The loudest was the vulcun bomber last flight,it sounded like a howling noise crazy never forget that sight and sound!
I work on F-18's and F-35's in San Diego. The F-35 is about twice as loud as the F-18..F-22 is an Air Force bird though so never have messed with it.
I wish UK would build a new bomber I miss the v force

The U.S. 6th generation fighter is even better than the F-22 and F-35 combined into one weapon platform. On top of the they have incorporated the, "Loyal Wingman," program where AI controls the drone fighters in the formation which are essentially multi-roll missile magazines or can be configured for other missions as well. In an anti-access, anti-denial environment the pilot can send in the drones or launch loitering munitions to take out radars, SAM sites, etc.

When you start to see Raptors flying over you outside of the US you know something BIG is happening. Those jets mean serious business. I saw one up close in a South Carolina hangar and it looked otherworldly.
They often visit the UK. You will see them fly the Mach Loop.
