Tony, lets dumit down. We are no more obligated to keep a pregnancy than we are obligated to donate an organ to save anyones life. You need my permission to use my organs, full or partial, my blood, plasma or bone marrow, even when I am dead the same way a fetus needs my permission to use my body. T.o.n.y.
I love Shannon's suggestion that any time someone gets another person pregnant, they also then have to donate blood, stem cells, etc. if you want to keep it as, they should only be responsible for their own kids, fine. They have to donate regularly throughout the pregnancy and have those tissue samples stored in case the child ends up needing them at any point in their life. There. No it's totally fair, except it's still much easier on the person not carrying the baby to term.
Forget “just” tissue samples. You can live with one lung, one kidney, the liver usually regenerates (and if not, well, pregnancy can kill you, too), one testicle - and even quadriplegic you can be living a good life, so what if pregnancy costs you an arm or a leg? So save that penis up, safely in a deep freeze, in case your children might need a transplant - cancer is a thing as is a bit too cutting circumcision. You got 2 eyes, you totally can get by with just one …

Prediction before I start playing this video: The anti-choice theist is going to be....wait for it.....a man. *Presses play* Oh, how COULD I have predicted that!?
An analogy that I've used that has had some small level of success getting pro-lifers to think about the situation is the homeless person analogy. Imagine a homeless person wanders into your home and starts living in your garage. The homeless person is staying warm from your home's heating and eating food from your pantry. You are now given the option of kicking this homeless person to the curb, and if you do so, he will freeze and starve to death. Should you be allowed to kick the homeless man out of your house? Would it be murder if you told the homeless man to leave? The answer, is obvious; a homeless man does not have the right to eat your food and live in your home against your will. If you allowed that homeless man to stay voluntarily, then they have the right to live there as long as you agree to let them, but no longer. Your house, your food, your rules. Replace house with body, homeless man with fetus, and food with bodily resources. Voila; you have the bodily autonomy argument wrapped up with precisely the same logic.
For someone who is "in the middle", i like the line of questioning "Would you allow someone to abort on month 7 if their husband just died, they got evicted, and they are now homeless with no support?" Then if they say yes (they should if they're not psycho) *"How much sympathy do you have to feel for them to have a legal right to abortion?"* Cuz that's all the "middle ground" is. Disgust vs Sympathy.
@@UMBR.I bet if you asked Tony long enough you would learn that the problem is that the wrong kind of population increased while the good kind of population decreases...
Tony keeps talking over people and trying to change the subject because he doesn't want to understand the parallels. He just keeps repeating "that has nothing to do with abortion" like those are magic words.
You won me at “Bite me!” ❤❤❤ I love how young folks are approaching this topic. Bodily autonomy is such an important concept. Back in the day, we argued when life begins. That is so subjective. Bodily autonomy is the real issue here. Keep on keepin’ on. I hope your efforts will win the day. Ours seems to have been out smarted.😢
Shannon, ``Women wait in an endless line to have an abortion'' is a strong argument. There is a sad story behind every abortion. And apologists only add salt to the bitter wound.
I am a 70 year old man with very strong opinions on the topic of abortion and choice. But the important point to make is that "MY" opinion does not matter. Only the opinions of woman matter on the topic of abortion and choice.
@@urthosart A pregnant woman is going to give birth - so there is no forcing going on. Pro-aborts are ok with her giving birth to a dead baby. Pro-lifers help women facing unplanned pregnancies so they can give birth to live babies. Forcing death onto a defenseless human being to make your life easier is infintely worse than the law telling you not to take the life of your unborn child.
If Tony just had bad arguments, that would be one thing. Why do I never hear the question that someone needs to ask all these anti-choicers? Why do you think that a fetus deserves more rights than the woman that is carrying it?
Exactly. An embryo/fetus has no feelings, the woman does. An embryo/fetus has no memories, the woman does. The embryo/fetus has no identity, the woman does. The embryo/fetus feels no emotions, the woman does. The embryo/fetus has no name, the woman does. The embryo/fetus has no friends, the woman does. I don't think this guy knows that there are hundreds of reasons for women to get an abortion, and most of these reasons are related to medical issues. Like Sharon says, women don't go around getting abortions because it's fun. This dude is so not informed.
There are people who are like "Why are they so mean to callers?" Well, this is an example of when it's warranted. I'm sick of people calling in and just switching lanes whenever they feel like it and act like the hosts are being harsh
"Genesis says..." hahaha. Ffs. Like that's proof of anything here in the real world.
I could spend an hour just watching Will smile. His intelligent arguments are just icing on the cake...
I like Will very much, he brings in some really nice vibe and a slightly different approach!
Pro choice is not forcing anyone to do anything they don't want to do. No one has anything to say about the personal choice of the woman. Especially not an imaginary friend of delusional people.
Thank you both, really enjoyed this one. Tony displayed the worst case of willful ignorance I think I’ve ever heard.
I’m of the opinion that if men were the ones who got pregnant there would be abortion clinics on every street corner. 🤷🏼♀️
Oh, and my husband agrees with me
BINGO!! I say if men could get pregnant they could get an abortion at Walmart.
A lot of women are coerced by men to have abortions.
We wouldn't even need street corners.
We would have "Uber Eats" for abortions.
I always bring that up while discussing pro choice with men
If cis* men. Many trans men already can and it doesn't do anything to make anti-choice cis men any less stupid about it.
An example of why you should never call when you're high, and drunk, and stupid.
Shannon is brilliant! Tony arguing with her is like an earthworm trying to fight an eagle.
I really enjoyed Will being on the show, hope to see him again soon.
Trying to debate with people like "Tony" is pointless because ignorance can be educated, anger reasoned with, drunkeness sobered...but stupid lasts forever.
Now this was needed. Great comebacks team 😂
I used to be in the camp of not taking the callers that refuse to give pronouns because you already know that they are horrible people; but I’ve changed my mind. Taking those calls exposes their stupidity for all to see and hear
It's actually crazy how much an exact test of someone's character it is, if they don't give pronouns, they're guaranteed to be an idiot.
@@laeliuss7495 it truly is.
Absolutely. Only idiots fail to see the Emperor's magnificent new clothes. "But the Emperor has nothing at all on!" said a little child. Stupid child!
I hope Tony tells every woman he meets what he thinks about them and abortion. Then we will never have to worry about one getting pregnant from him.
I'm almost 53 yrs old and I want to be Shannon Q when I grow up. Or at least be half as smart and bad ass as she is.
Tony is not very bright.
Okay. I was dying laughing when Tony clearly thought “Begging the Question” means when someone “begs” him to answer a question. 😂
A caller so terrible that the normally invisible call screener even gets on to tell them they're being a garbage, intolerable guest.
1:49 Mountains are affected by erosion. Mountains change. Therefore, mountains are alive.
Prove me wrong, Tony.
Dunning-Kruger on full display!
Giving him too much credit.
Fuck off into the sun. This one is gold! ☀️☀️☀️
Prediction before I start playing this video: The anti-choice theist is going to be....wait for it.....a man.
*Presses play*
Oh, how COULD I have predicted that!?
Probably because almost every oppositional caller to the Line is a man. That’s not a meaningful prediction.
If he agrees it’s separate from a woman’s body then why is he so offended when they separate it from their body?
Fucking _truuuuue_
Bravo team, especially Shannon. You kicked ass
I have used squatters, home invaders and nasty house guests as an example.
I like it.
For someone who is "in the middle", i like the line of questioning
"Would you allow someone to abort on month 7 if their husband just died, they got evicted, and they are now homeless with no support?"
Then if they say yes (they should if they're not psycho)
*"How much sympathy do you have to feel for them to have a legal right to abortion?"*
Cuz that's all the "middle ground" is. Disgust vs Sympathy.
Lol that "favourite colour" question was a perfect demo that this guy just ain't listening.
Shannon is just great at this ❤️
Shannon is brilliant at formulating simple, concise, powerful defenses for a woman’s right to choose.
Everyone needs 2.5 kids? Where'd that half a kid come from?
Maybe that's what Tony is, it would explain why he talks like he only has half a brain
My god, his brain. I did not know such smoothness was possible in nature. He needs to donate his brain to materials scientists
THINK OF THE ADVANCES IN VISCOSITY TECHNOLOGY IF WE COULD STUDY IT
Makes koalas look like Einstein.
We already know sponges.
@@dieudebois Nah, wrong comparison. There's the phrase of "soaking up wisdom like a sponge water", so he can't be a sponge.
What a load of bull. There are too many people in the world as it is.
Or accusing them of fallacies of which he doesn’t know the meaning.
You two are BRILLIANT!!!!!!
Tony's gawd chooses to abort literally 70%+ fertilized eggs before birth.
Gotta say, loving the clarity of the right up in the blurb, no messing about and calling Tony on his BS, and boy did he live up to it.
My question for these anti-choice-peopke is: where are you and your help when the precious baby is born into poverty ?
They’re out in front of the abortion clinic yelling at women
Great rant Shannon and Will, great fallacy correction. Frustrating as hell call! 👍💙💙💙🥰✌
Poor Shannon.... great job talking to someone that stupid and staying (fairly) calm.
Tony thinks women are a special gift because he has never had an any relationship with any woman.
"I was decoding the Republican propaganda" damn right, more people should call out the word-twisting and dishonesty.
oh my god the unexpected jimmy cameo is everything “matt’s not even on today!!!”
“Name the fallacy, babe” 😆💙💙
"Tony" should be embarrassed of himself. The ignorance is strong in that one.
I love how forced birthers will straight up tell you they don't believe in bodily autonomy 🤣
Respect👏
The "choice" to do what? The choice to take the life of a defenseless human being to make your life easier is a choice no one should have.
@@urthosart how about we respect the lives of ALL defenseless human beings - and not take any of them to make our lives easier
@@mathildeyoung1823 Because I don’t believe in the torture of forced birth.
Hope that helps.
You might think Tony made an ass of himself here, but there isn't an anti-choice advocate on this planet with better arguments.
But the other ones don't call in to this show.
If Tony just had bad arguments, that would be one thing.
But he is self-righteous, holier than thou, believes rules (like not talking over others) only apply to others… and starts off with a completely different hate topic.
So he made not just an uninformed but a nasty, intolerant, me better than you ass out of himself there.
The embryo/fetus doesn't care because it can't, nor can it relate to life, or to its self.
Tony has never had an intimate relationship with another human.
Tony and his brainless mumbling rambles are unbearable
Dude said that blood donation is not a proper parallel to being pregnant but going to McDonald's is a proper parallel.... most 'merican argument I've heard so far lol
He's not being like this on purpose. He's not capable of comprehending what you're saying, and he has no idea.
The ignorance of this caller is terrifying. Why would anyone call in to argue on a topic they were so uneducated about?
Sorry, just realized how old this video was - now I know what Tony was doing n November 5 this year and it is more terrifying.
Original sin is his argument for pro-life. awesome.
I love how Shannon started talking to irony like he was a child at 12:50 😆😆😆
How about the 20%of pregnancys that naturally abort, where the mothers body has rejected the foetus, without any outside influences.
Those instances are sad. A lot of people die from natural causes. The younger they were, often the sadder it is.
@@JamieParot
What is it that you think gives a fetus a right to use a person's body against their will, to the detriment of the host and their potential death or lifelong injury?
Why does the fetus have a right that nobody else has?
@@Diviance Against their will? There's a discussion above where you showed yourself unarmed in rebutting the fact that the baby was invited in almost all cases.
The right to life is not a right that nobody else has.
In most cases it's not to the detriment of the mother if the baby lives - to the contrary.
Now there are very rare instances that pro-choice people like to bring up for the purpose of using the exception to prove the rule. In those instances, like ectopic pregnancies, or rape, or incest, I could talk about one at a time if I had the desire to do so. But you and I know that the vast majority of abortions are committed on healthy babies with healthy mothers.
The bottom line is that a baby inside its mother is unequivocally an innocent human being that was invited there by its parents. I value innocent human life. Do you?

"In those instances, like ectopic pregnancies, or rape, or incest, I could talk about one at a time if I had the desire to do so. But you and I know that the vast majority of abortions are committed on healthy babies with healthy mothers. "

Sadly, a pregnancy loss can get woman in jail in anti choice countrys!
Omg Will is so freaking cute. When he smiled I almost had a heart attack. Please invite him back!!!
