I'm just glad Sigma never used a blue pigment for plastic when they made their lenses. In other words; the black plastic color isn't going to scare away wildlife.
Thank you! This is the ONLY video that actually helped me get this crap Rolanpro cover on. It was a bitch to get the lense hood cover on and the last piece at the very end of the lense was very vexing until I found your video by accident.Thank you brother!
thank you this is the only review on this cover, it seems you got the coton version? lets hope the other ones are better because on Amazon they claim that the coton version is not water proof.
Thanks for the hints Rob. Just a question if I may - The one you ve got there is the waterproof version it seems (they make also a non-waterproof version of it). Can you comment on how the inside materials feel like? Based on the description here: www.aliexpress.com/item/4000030993151.html it says it's made of "polyester oxford fabric and black short velvet". I m just a bit concerned that this could be a problem on the plastic/rubber parts of the lens (e.g. focus + zoom ring), especially in hotter climates. Do you reckon that inner textile material is safe for the lens? I m thinking of buying this for my Sony 200-600. I don't really need the rain protection (as I don't shoot in the rain), so I was thinking whether the non-waterproof (cotton) version of the coat would be a better solution...
It's been quite sometime since I have been on here and just now seeing these comments. I hope that the Roland Pro worked out for you. Let me know what you think of it.
@@ROBEWING No worries So far so good. Challenging to put it on, and I doubt it would go off any easier (hopefully, I won't have to!). Haven't used the lens under rainy conditions, so I don't know how it would perform (i.e. if it gets soaked/absorb water) Mostly under sunny, warm weather where I didn't have any issues - although I always try to keep the lens away from direct sunlight Overall, happy with it. My only concern is - if for whatever reason I need to take it off - I m worried if it would leave any marks on the lens body, after like being on it for years. But that remains to be seen I guess

Your welcome! I totally agree it was a pain to get on! Glad I was able to help.
Thank you for the review.
Thanks for the video, almost gave up putting it on, but still can't get piece #8 to fit flush at the bottom

Do you still like it? I know it's been 3 months since you have posted this video.. Use the #3 for a cozee
It's useless, I sewed myself a continuous camouflage fabric and put it on top, while I can use the zoom
That is not a rain cover and it certainly is not waterproof
Tbh that velco looks kinda ugly. And probably doesnt feel comfortable on the hands.
