    well we don't have Thanksgiving in Europe, so people usually start decorating the city and stuff by end of October, begin of November

    Philly has a Christmas village. they usually start setting up everything before Thanksgiving but aren't open until after..its pretty cool, they have a merry-go-round, ice skating, and a bunch of booths selling everything from hot chocolate to hand crafted ornaments

    Not all HOAs are like that. I live in a house in a nice community and our HOA is $88 a year and they don’t get in our business and they just maintain what they have to. I have a neighbor that puts up Christmas lights before thanksgiving too and no one cares

    Yo, I just learned that Shakey's pizza, is named that because the owner had some disease or some shit that made the mofo shake all the time. And they called his ass Shakey's. Dawg that's funny.     I personally don't put up Christmas decorations until after Remembrance Day out of respect. But for the people who do I don’t mind. Just don’t forget the things in between.

      @@shawnamay78 Im real native and I was raised working with my hands. I tilled 2 acres with a garden hoe every year, the food last ruffly more than a year after harvesting, canning and freezing. Assuming the weather doesnt take your crops or blight.
      Thanksgiving is giving praise and being thankful that I get to eat, that my family can survive and that all our labor didnt go wasted.
      Again, you dont speak for me or my own

      @@DarkLinkAD I get all that. But I speak for my family; most do not understand the whole thing. And most of my extended family feels the same-Thanksgiving based on a slaughter 🤷🏻‍♀️ of our ancestors.
      It's not ok to celebrate that. When we have meals with our elders, we always speak the truth of Thanksgiving. The truth is we are still here. If you didn’t realize I am Anishinabe.

      And my X Greats Grands family members would have never formed the line to get to me. I am very happy how history turned out to make me and you alive today. Besides, without us, scalping and war between tribes would still be a very relevant thing in North America today. It's good all around.
