Why are billionaires involved in these conferences? Billionaires have shown multiple times to take advantage of their workers & not care about the harmful impacts they have on the environment. If anyone should have a say on the climate it should not be billionaires who have proved to only care about profit, but politicians, environmentalists, or other people who have advocated for the well-being of the climate their whole life.

the nuances of why Steve example is wrong is that even if the resources is coming from coal, the transition of coal to energy isn't uniform. Think of container ship, though the size may make it look like they guzzle fuel but they are consider one of the most fuel effecient machine on earth. So when Steve say coal, those plants are being economically effecient as possible relative to the cars on the street, also conventional cars on average are kept at 12 years.

long distance electric cars might not even become a thing like that. they're just gonna work on quick charging, put stations everywhere. Eventually there will just be those electric roads that charge your car while it drives on it. all nice and comfy but also can get kind of dystopian if you can only drive where the govt built roads take u and they can just power down all traffic, plus cars are all constantly tracked etc
