  • With our well pump installed, the next step was to hook up electricity to power it. Our install is a little unconventional, allowing us to run the well pump through a portable generator until our utility building is completed. This is the moment of truth. Will the well pump work? Will we get running water?

Seeing that water flow is become a great incentive to get 'er done. It's just sitting there and waiting to be used. Nice video of the anticipation of providing water to the build.

100%. I was like a kid at Christmas once that well pump was installed - all I wanted to do was wire it up and see the water flow.

With the incredible level of care, attention, and planning you both put in to everything, I had no doubt that it would work :) Great job!

Haha, us too! A *lot* of planning had gone into this project, and although we were confident we'd done everything correctly, it was still a little nerve wracking when we first turned it on!

Very Exciting! Was all this done last year? I'm excited to see all the progress. It has to feel good to have water on site! Did you spend the winter in VT or did you travel to warmer spots for the winter?

Yes 😃 we always try to add a "filming date" in the video description, and the well pump install was done in August last year. In a very short space of time, a lot of big milestones all happened at once!
We spent the winter in Europe visiting family - we hadn't been back for 4½ years. We arrived back in Vermont in early March and have been hard at work getting things ready to hit the ground running this year.

@@AdventurousWay ahh... I didn't see the filming date, thanks for that! Hope you had a nice trip in Europe! Welcome back to the States! I'm looking forward to following along with your house build this year! We just love Vermont and ne Hampshire and have been up there the last few summers. We are headed back to moosalamoo area in Vermont next month!
