Where in the movie actually is he claims he's a malayali.May be he's malayali brought up in bangalore or can be a half malayali half kannadiga or even he can be a complete non malayali jst like mammoottys mallayya character in chattambinaadu
Jaby, the reason Ranga befriended these kids is because the story is set in Bangalore, Karnataka where the people speak a different language. These kids are from Kerala who came to study in Bangalore. Ranga was from Kerala originally and moved to Bangalore. Since in the bathroom, Ranga identified the language the kids speak (Malayalam), he invited the kids to his table since he has not seen Malayali kids in the bar.
Also he needed friends other than colleagues
Maybe because of cigarettes 😉
Also, Ranga was about to join a college while his relative cheated him. Therefore, he might be re-living the college dream with the students. Adding to this, the first thing he asks is if they are college students.

the way FaFa speaks is funny because he is talking in a Kannada Malayali diction....for all Malayalis who get Kannada or other way around this was way more funny

Thank God the subtitles for Aavesham looks legit. The subtitles provided for Manjummel Boys, the highest grossing film in the Malayalam Film history was just so carelessly made and out of context in many scenes that... It's not a surprise Jaby and Achara couldn't connect much with the characters. 🤦
It wasn't the issue with the subtitles. actually. I believe they didn't watch it in the original print and watched it with pirated subtitles. I saw it with the original both in theater and OTT. They were legit.

I just watched Aavesham and I'm still reeling from the experience! Jithu Madhavan has outdone himself with this one, folks! After the celebrated Romancham, I thought he'd set the bar high, but Aavesham takes it to a whole new level!
The story follows three youngsters trying to survive engineering college, but things take a dark turn when they cross paths with their sadistic seniors and a local gangster, Rangaa. And let me tell you, Fahad's performance as Rangaa is absolutely electrifying! He brings a level of swag and intensity that's hard to match. That iconic dialogue, "Eda mwone!" still gives me goosebumps!
Sajin's performance is equally impressive, with his impeccable comedic timing and mannerisms. And Jithu's dark humor? Genius! The mother's role is played to perfection, and the debutants - Hipzter, Mithun JaiSankar, and Roshan Shahnavaz - deliver standout performances that will leave you wanting more.
Fahad proves he can tackle any role with ease, and Jithu Madhavan solidifies his position as a master director in Mollywood. Sameer Thahir's cinematography and Sushin's background score are simply fantastic!
Huge props to Anwar Rasheed and Nazriya for backing this wildly entertaining movie. If you're looking for a film that will keep you on the edge of your seat and leave you feeling thoroughly entertained, look no further than Aavesham! Trust me, you won't regret it!

Not because they are malayalis,,..joining college was ranga s dream,, but he couldn't...and it was first time he was seeing some college students in his bar,..so he got excited...even if they weren't mallus he Will get excited bcz he never seen college students in his bar,,,he knows Kannada too.
