Nice video. I was surprised at no mention of the Mexican-American War? Seems fairly important to mention that the entire west fell out of the hands of Mexico in 1848.
Great summary of San Francisco history. The Chinese didn't actually come to work on supplying the goldfields, nor work on the railroad... they were what you might say "railroaded."
great video as always, I'm glad you included a little bit of indigenous history, although the animation is kind of problematic, teepees weren't used on the west coast, they were pretty much limited to places like kansas, nebraska, the dakotas-that part of the country-and the headwear is inaccurate as well. Is the text in their speech bubbles supposed to say something in Ohlone? are you interested in a pronunciation consultant? Many mispronunciations in this video
Talk about missing the Huge Deal that the Spanish used Monterey and did no see the SF bay from the Ocean for 250 years, it was only found from the land,, that is kind of interesting
Heyy! Nice video:) I watched this video for English class and it really helped me. Thank youu! Could I ask how you animated this video? It looks sooo cool!!!
Actually, not all Japanese/Japanese Americans were sent to concentration camps. Just the west coast ones. Also how could you not include anything about LGBT people?

Went here for the first time last year from New Zealand. Mainly went to see Yosemite but really fell in love with this city. Will hopefully come back.

They always hide the history of Mexico 🇲🇽 because it was stolen and Europeans stretched the border all way down to San Diego
U.S." offered to BUY IT
.
BUT WERE TURNED DOWN
.( the Apaches were foricious until TEXAS payed
Then a visit).
Nice, educational content and I learned a lot for the most beautiful city in the world.

We love to make videos about the pre-Columbian era. The bubbles are just to show that they do not speak English or Spanish
They were also using a cauldron.
Not a drop on their gay culture, but the hippie movement? Odd
That's erasure for you.
They did mention it. you missed it. The Gold Rush of 1849 saw surge of over 300,000 hot sweaty men who came to party and work the mines.

Nice Art
California was annexed in 1848, not 1864. Not sure where you got that date from
My hometown in Nor Cal was incorporated in 1858 so I was like what??
@@stevesmithston8914 Alexandre is Right I took SF City & Cal History That is another 5 points taken away....

Because some fucked up people’s sexuality has nothing to do with this great city, and to mention them would be a disrespect.
