@@madisonbear117 thank you for well wishes! i think i’m having a harder time with of all the short form pieces personally. it might be my current state of focus, but i feel it’d be easier to spend longer with things. but that’s such a personal preference/circumstance. in general i have a hard time latching onto short stories
@@bibliosophie Thank your for letting me know. Thinking about it I agree that longer books mean you can get more invested in the story and dont have to learn new characters as much, ..given that i am a slightly slower reader the short stuff is something i go for mostly, but understand the opposite point of view. :)
@ it’s really a case of reader preference. i’m actually a bit embarrassed that i have such a hard time liking short fiction. i’m used to single essays and poems, but short plot is difficult for me
It took me a few moments to adjust to what I was seeing in the opening shots of your video, so when I saw you placing those evergreen boughs into that large crystal vase, I thought to myself, “Boy, that’s gonna be one helluva smoothie!” With regard to Shirley Jackson, I would highly recommend “The Haunting of Hill House”, which is about the best haunted house novel I’ve ever read. There’s an audiobook version available on UA-cam. I’d also highly recommend the 1963 film adaptation directed by Robert Wise called “The Haunting”, which remains the scariest movie I’ve ever seen. I’ll only watch my DVD of the film on the brightest, sunniest of days, and only after doing a mental checklist to ensure I won’t have any reason to venture down into my basement for the next two-to-three days.
