love the set-up for this video very much! low stakes, but the urge is to read, as appropriately as life allows!
glad to see the italian ice shirt alive and well!!! greatest grail of the century tbh
also, very happy to hear that the Callahan made you want to create! i love when art pulls art out of you. hope you're creating well

We don't have summer here or the seasons in Nigeria, and it's actually our most rainy time, but I watched this with an unusual sunny melancholic light coming from the window of my family's parlour while eating and, the very chill nature of the video did something unexplainable for me. I instantly made the resolution to try to read Thoreau during your summer months on my sunny day here. Anyways, enjoyed the video and the journalistic piece you read.

Lovely notes from reading The Hearing Test. I enjoyed hearing them and getting to know about the book more. I had this book out of the library and didn’t get to it. A common theme!

ah yes, the books that we have excitedly get out from the library and then never quite get to… a common theme for me, too :)
      and thank you!

My June was also Hearing Test energy. A little nebulous, a little lonely. l really love that you read us what you had written about the book. Getting both your thoughts spoken in the moment and your thoughts on page is a wonderful way to get us deeper into your brain! Loved this video so much!
