Spot on Brando, the Effect Tour is way stronger than I thought it would be. As a guys who throws it 18-19mph I was worried I’d over power it, this is not the case lol
Never thought that I would be interested in the Rhino Pro Pearl since I didn't really enjoy the Rhino Red, Black, and Gold that I used to have. But it is really growing on me. As for angry, I hate when I miss my spares, when everyone around me is throwing better, or when someone puts something slick on the approach.
Alright! Brando "The Professor"! So good to watch and learn on your reviews. As far as getting angry. Nope. Why? As my Grandfather used to say hit 9 you get 9. Good the see you on here again Professor!
When I miss my line, or if the lanes play differently (almost always in our house) and I throw how I do on the other lane and leave a 10 pin. The very inconsistent oil, changes week to week, day to day.
This is exactly the comparison video I needed to see. I love my Envy Tour and was considering the Effect Tour. Now I'm thinking there's too much overlap, and the Envy Tour seems more controllable. Thanks!
Envy tour is a little cleaner and I can do more with my hand to make it finish. Effect tour needs some oil. I’m going duller with the effect and taking the envy tour up so they can be used together
In my league on the second shift on old wood lanes I am currently throwing older urethane balls the black widow urethane solid , the faball enterprises blue urethane hammer with blue pin and white logos , the amf Angle plus and a old turquoise plastic rhino all at same grit 100sandpaper then 120 grit trucut . For the last few weeks I have been throwing the angle plus as my crutch ball. I can throw 12 great off my hand ideal motion and shot and 8, 7,9,10,5,6,4 pins one after another . Use all my tricks in my books slow down trick the ball and still wrap 7pins .but I do tend to get angry quick but I listen to music to cancel out the bad shots
I would love to try out a Hammer Envy Tour. Always have wanted to, just haven't been able to get my hands on one. I've seen what it does on Nationals patterns, and I would love to be able to toss one. For me, 10-pins really don't bother me. It's more 8's and 9's. You know that you went through the pocket the right way to not leave the 10. but there are some, 8pins especially, where the rack may have offset the pins just enough.
I really only get mad at myself. Ten pins don't bother me that much (I also don't tend to leave many, since creating shape is something I'm very good at). My mechanics being rough on league night can really frustrate me though. Some nights it's hard to flip that switch and start throwing it the way you want.
Does anyone think the Hammer effect line will get a urethane cover in the future? Plus, the question: bad executions when I'm playing further left I always throw it way above the 1st pin and always missing or get the 7 pin.
Appreciate this review and the side-by-side comparison between these balls. Ivory Rhino definitely looks better for you here. As others have noted, Effect Tour does seem stronger than the Envy Tour. Angry? I try not to be that guy. Frustrated? When my teammates or myself throw good balls that don't carry. And the other team has high-handicap bowlers who throw slop that carries. That can lead to a higher bar tab than normal. Good stuff, keep 'em coming!
Anger is the weakest point in a lot of mental games, that and confidence. But a lot of people, including myself will stay frustrated too long and stop reading the lanes and playing the game
BTW I really appreciate all the ball reviews! I was torn between the ivory, the effect tour and the Origin. Now just gotta choose between Ivory and Origin LoL
@@brandondriley honest reviews are what we need 🙌 maybe give it another try on a different pattern. It's does look like a very good ball. But origin and ivory seem a little more versatile on more common conditions from what I can tell
Same shot twice, all stats are the same according to specto. 1 ball 2-8-10s and the other is a flush strike. Either or in any order. Thats what makes me angry.
You're a 'tell it like it is' bowler... not just pushing the newest ball. Appreciate it
There are few duds on the market, but I’d be lying if I tried to promote every ball as being great

You should not have a problem. It is much earlier than I had expected

I wouldn’t have drilled an ivory if not for UA-cam, yet it’s in my tourney bag this weekend

Thanks and I’m happy to be back!

Cool video talk tech bowling ball Jr pro shop
When my physical game goes off the rails.
Encore!! Encore!! Good $hit!
I don't get mad at leaving a ten pin, but I really hate when I miss one.

Get one while they still exist

I would rather see an effect tour pearl

Ivory was perfect on this beat up pattern and yes that effect tour is considerably earlier than the envy tour
Days with no carry. I had 4 strikes once in league and 2 of them was in the last game lol
Looking back at the footage from 6:45 on, i was having one of those days
Pisses me off when I miss spares and grandmas have a better look than I do. WTF!
How did you drill your Rhino?
4.5”x25 degrees (pin an inch+ over ring finger)

@@DaveTheBowler3 totally different bowling balls. Don’t think I sold very many effect tours in this video 😅

@ I had the front 8 with the effect tour game 1 on Thursday. Way better on the fresh
I'm a lefty, so for me it's that solid pocket hit and I leave the stone 9 . 😡
Throwing a perfect shot and it splits or a teammate talking smack about what they will do in league then bowls terrible all night
Pocket 7 - 10! "Bastards"

Plastic would've been good on this pattern as well. Brando knows what I'm talking about
At 9mph?
