I am still high on Ronnie Bell, I would love to see him get on the field more. To me he looks like he could be a plug and play replacement for Juan if/when he leaves. The Pearsall pick has grown on me but it felt like a weird pick for a position of strength and depth.
Amen! he has strength and elusiveness. I am surprised (but not surprised) he did not fill in for Deebo when he was hurt. He, in my opinion is WR 4

I would release all of them...we have someone to step up...we had a good draft...I think we could release guys who are always injured or who can't catch in practice...we can run it back with the team we have without those players...

Drake Jackson needs to show out in his 3rd season to justify his high draft pick . Looked like he has the ability but not the availability due to injury. Ambry Thomas has been erratic in his play so far . Like Elijah Mitchells big play capability and versatility out of the backfield but has problems staying healthy . Cam Latu needs to prove himself due to his availability and stone hands. Danny Gray has great speed to stretch the field but hasn’t shown enough in a highly competitive room of WR’s
Agree. Think all the backups are on the bubble. Niners need to get younger, better, n cheaper. Niners draft choices don't always work out. Niners have 10 WRs, but only 5-6 make 53 roster. Assume no trades. Deebo, Aiyuk, Pearsall n Cowings, Jennings or Bell. Means Owens son, Martin, Gray, Conley get cut, maybe practice squad if get thru waiver. DE Jackson just has shown enough, look good at times before hurt. ED Beals some flashes. TE Latu n Willis haven't shown enough, but if Latu cut, who is 3 or 4 TE. CB Thomas play has been up n down. Can Luter or Green take spot. Some FA CB may take spot. O-line needs to get better backups or starters on right side, maybe even center. No FS replacement for Gibson. Seem they drafted another SS. RB Mitchell is good, but injury prone. So say the 4th RB is juice successor. So only the UFA RB can try to replace Mitchell. His size is a concern. But he was productive, similar to Cmc. Not sure, the backup QBs are good enough if Brock gets hurt. As my wife says, cheap things aren't good, good things aren't cheap. D-lines been using retreads instead of draft picks. Known quantity, proven, but not top talent. Defense rank #12, used to be #1. Maybe, because not drafting D-line. Must mesh odds n ends retreads, hope chemistry is built during season. Players on 1-2 yr deals, if play great, leave for more money. Drafted players can be kept for 4 yrs. Better consistency. Niners are smarter than me. Just fan talking. But the draft was head scratcher. If O-line is biggest weakness on offense. Vish says O-line take time to transition to pro. Physically n mentally. Some don't expect to start, unless top talent.

Cant we trade Thomas and Gray? I mean, they are valuable, just not for our play style. Jaguars, Pats, Giants, Cowboys can easily use them both!

Mitchell is definitely gone. He is too injury prone. Jackson should never have been drafted in the first place because he lacked NFL strength. I saw him being at best a UDFA., not a second round pick.
I guarantee that Mitchel gets cut....Cody is a better running back than him and he is not injury prone.

Elijah Mitchell lacks pop in 2024 smh, he didnt see the field much, by my eye test and knowledge of running backs, he's just as good as cmc when giving opportunities, I do agree about his injuries! But special talent

Agree. Shows Niners aren't great at draft or same as other teams. Niners been lucky. Is that why, Niners fill more needs with FAs n trades. Draft picks take more time to be starters. Re-treads have proven ability, former team might need to release because they hsve cap issues or something. But, as wife said, cheap things aren't good, good things aren't cheap. Niners expect players on 1-2 yr deals to mesh n build chemistry. Hope Niners found some good players in FAs, Draft, N UFAs. Snead implied, no real competition. Assume coachrs have some preference or prejudices or other reasons for keeping certain players. Do Kyle/Niners trust rookies. UFA CB Jamison could cover slot n return kicks, but Niners kept Oliver, who couldn't cover slot. Rebuilding teams take chances on rookies. But Veteran teams don't take as many chances on players. Last yr, all UFAs are gone. Last yr draft has 2 starters Moody, who not Robbie yet. Brown started for Huf. Injury. Not sure, any starters from this draft. Unless Injury or BA or Jennings hold out or trade/release, Pearsall probably a 3rd down option. Let the camp battles begin.
