    I am new to grooming, and I did two Mini Goldendoodles this week. I spend a lot of time dematting them. Which slicker brush would you recommend to the owners to use at home to maintain their dog's fur? Also, could you tell me which cordless clippers you would recommend? Thank you for sharing your techniques.

    Excellent video. I like you telling which blade you are using. Would have been nice to know when you switched to the thinning scissors and technique. Also, what brand/size or thinning scissors. You can send ne a note if you have time.

    You make the face look so easy and so adorable when it’s finished. Please help me to accomplish the same look with such fine detail as you have portrayed in your video. You have an amazing talent and I would like to be able to do half as good as you do.

    I wish you would explain how you cut the face a little bit more detailed like the eyebrows the area around the point of the eyes were the eye boogers are, etc. I maybe be a little slower in the face itself. I’m trying to learn to grow my own. Labradoodle in the face has me a little nervous, especially cutting with the scissors around the eyes not for fear of cutting her, but for fear of making her look stupid. I wanna make sure she looks her best.

    Hi! My name is Kleopatra, Im from Greece and Im studying to become a veterinarian. I really like your videos and dog grooming in general because I feel like I learn important things about dog handling, behavours and so many other things but also, whatching grooming videos relaxes me so if you could leave the videos as unedited as possible and without forwarding, it would be great!! keep up the good work!!

    Great video! My standard has a similar coat texture; it takes a lot of work to keep tangle-free.

    Hi
    Thank you for your videos.
    I’m new at grooming. How long should it take to groom a mini golden doodle?

    • @kellythegroomer8672
      @kellythegroomer8672  Рік тому

      If you are new and doing a longer more styled haircut I would say 3 hours would be a good time for you to set as a goal! A shorter one length all over I would say 2-2.5 hours. I take anywhere between 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the dog start to finish!

    I liked everything but the tail cutting view. I am researching on how to groom my own mini goldendoodle.

    Fun to watch. My Chester would not sit still for this - a real challenge. This mini has a thick straight coat. At 16 months Chester's poodle-ness is starting to show through (poodle father, mini golden doodle mother) with a slight kink. How does one trim a head with a kinkier coat where fur is thinner and stands up, not laying as flat as this guy? Why do you use straight #3 clipper instead of #10 with combs? Is it faster?

    Sorry, I meant to post my previous question here? What should we buy to re-enact this at home?

    • @kellythegroomer8672
      @kellythegroomer8672  2 роки тому

      It depends a bit on that coat condition that you’re starting with. If your dog has thick matted hair you’ll need very high quality clippers and blades, if it’s not as thick, clippers you can buy at a local pet store will likely do. But, you’ll need clippers, a slicker brush and a greyhound comb as your main tools for the haircut! Also nail clippers and dog shampoo. I like tropliclean brand of shampoo the best!

    Do you have to use a dryer if doing a home bath and cut? Is blow drying necessary ? Can you air dry then brush out well before cutting?
