highmax17 There is a Final Boss fight of sorts. The boss is called Black Knight Pendragon. It is hinted that this is your character's father by the slingshot Steve.

There is a reason why it was called Demon Shaft. I went through the whole thing with a maxed out 7th heaven. The sword is pretty as hell but teeters on the edge of hardmode in the damn tower.

I was playing this game on my stepdad's ps2 when I was younger, trying to get to the end, before he decided to sell the game. I didn't get to the top....... ......Thankfully now that I'm 29 and have my own ps2 I finally beat it.

I think the only thing I hated about this game is the hydration feature it annoyed the crap out of the just to point of using cheats for infinite water!
I guess I have to update now... I lost my save file not long after and got demoralized because of it, so I put the game down for a while and then haven't made it that far again since.
Demon Shaft was awesome and hard from the different colors of their levels and that you have to figure out what is their opposite and made it to level 100 without my help of my brother and sister! :D
Got bored so I made a new game. I've decided to get all of final swords before fighting the Dark Genie and when I noticed I could access the tower due to my other save files, I added the Chronicle 2 to my list. Only on floor 10 so far.
Running around floor 14 as Goro when I see a Gol, with my new Inferno I wanted to try it out, and spin smashed... hit the fucker like 30 times in 2 seconds and broke my new built up weapon... FUCK
So um... *SPoiler alert* I made it to the top floor. Floor 100 there is the most amazing surprise waiting for you there. *SPOILER* The Black Knight. He's so Overpowered D: I watched my brother struggle so much on him. But when you win You get a Final weapon I can't remember what it's called, But its beautiful.... Sadly... There's no one to use it on, since well.... You've destroyed all the monsters n stuff. ^^
Dan Supremexx yes it's the chronicle 2. im on my way to get it. it's just the fact that you have it. there's no sense in continuing the game if you have gotten to level 100 and beaten the black night. you get the black night's crest every level you complete so no spoiler there...
When you one shot even the bosses on demon shaft with a lucky critical proc....(yes crit ability works on bosses and even enemies that are immune to certain elemental damage)
I managed to do levels 1-50 without stopping by abusing steal to heal my machine gun. With critical and poison the only fear left is running out of water or foodstuffs but many enemies can be stolen from for that stuff.
@@deadsoulgamer9338 No, it doesn't. Quench slows down the depletion of the thirst meter, while Thirst speeds it up, BUT you also regenerate thirst every time to kill an enemy. Try it out.
@FallenPatriotic Yeah,the bulk of weapons in DK 2 take forever to upgrade,depending on how far you are,it's better looking for level-up powder/gems rather then focusing on "building" your weapon.
It's impossible indeed, it was a programming error when translating the game into English, but the back room key, which by the way is called the Flapping Duster, can be obtained with a very complicated glitch or Codebreaker/Gameshark.
@battousaicrescent yeah griffin fork is pretty awesome. im trying to build up to the ultimate weapons for ruby goro and ungaga right now and its taking forever
For you people who have completed this game COMPLETELY I tried going back to the dark genie's (the real one end of the Gallery of Time) level to see what would happen, surprise surprise he's magically their again. Thats who you use the Chronicle2 on. (Personally my chronical1 is so OP so I just use that instead and use the other one as a trophy of awesome)
yeaaahhh....don't have to be under 20 to enjoy a ps2 classic,as several games survived past 05. and many are enjoyed and played by people like me. (btw,still not 20)

They literally left it out of the code! It's absolutely impossible to get the Feather Duster, sadly. A cool notion, though. You can use a very precise glitch to find it lost within hidden items that never really made it into the game, but it's not worth the trouble, really. D:

2019 anyone? Dark Cloud had a better soundtrack than Dark Cloud 2/Dark Chronicle. In my opinion at least.

I didn't like it at first either. I have it a second chance and quickly fell back in love. Give it another go!

There's a reason I use Ungaga and Xiao as my Demon Shaft team. They cover ALL the bases if you know what you're doing.

Agreed. Both were brilliant RPG's, but 1 has a certain charm and edge to it that puts it a step above the sequel.
It really does. I adore both, and I come back to them both regularly, but DC1 just can't be beat.

I started this game when I was 4 and had no idea what hole I had dug in my life. I have returned to finish what I started, with the power of Atla.
Sad that I cannot go to the back areas of the Gallery of Time, but CAN do so in the Demon Shaft. And this tune is really catchy and relaxed.

It's a Trophy. It also isn't the only game that gives you the God Weapon as a reward for doing 100% of the game.

All the great weapons I found in that dungeon just to break them the second later on an overpowering monster xD. Nostalgia.
Getting Durable on all my weapons was a pain in the ass, but also paid off quite nicely :P

Put thirst on your weapon, every time you kill an enemy you refill your water meter.
You're thinking of quench, thirst makes you thirstier per swing

In other words getting access to the glitch menu and have a certain stuff done to a certain glitch weapon so the flapping duster shows up in the menu

100 levels, hard enemies, but overall, better than Dark Cloud 2's 'Zelmite Mine' in my opinion. That was AWFUL :l
