Noraly, what can I say, at 56 after over 40 years of riding bikes including being a Police motorcyclist and having been lucky enough to travel and see a fair bit of the world I am enthralled by your videos. I have followed your adventures through India, the Stans and back to Europe, back to your home in the the Netherlands, to South America, then around the Netherlands and Iceland and now to South Africa and Namibia. I really had no idea what South Africa and Namibia were like, the story telling, the humour, the educating, the motorcycling, the camera work, the time and the effort. Thank you for taking us on this latest adventure. It’s about time You Tube had annual awards for its most successful channels. If they did I am sure you would be winning just about every category. You and your channel shine like a 1 million watt bulb, Al, Airdrie, Scotland 👍
Here here Al, I would vote for Noraly because of all the reasons you have said there. Really amazing camera work, a lovely lady all around so no wonder she gets help wherever she goes in the world. 😊
My husband just came across this channel about 1 1/2 months ago. Season 6 was posted and we watched it. We had spent 20 summers in Alaska so we were very interested in that series. But then I started at the beginning with Season 1. I was totally addicted. She is awesome - what a personality! Beautiful lady (that smile and her gorgeous eyes!). With every country she travels through I just keep saying WOW! This is wonderful travelogue and she also is teaching me a lot of history and information I never would have known without watching this. Noraly you are amazing. Please continue your travels, what would I do in the evenings if you weren't on. 🙂
Her channel is not just interesting , and enjoyable ,I agree with you it is educational as well , you can learn so much about this world and the people in it as well , just by watching Noraly`s videos .

I have a feeling your video's get better the more I watch of them. The Namib desert is really mesmerizing. That place you stay seems like a slice of paradise on earth. Thanks Noraly for the joy you bring to us, and to someone who is shackled to a post, forced to stay home not being able to travel or move anywhere. You widen my world view and I am very grateful.
I understand being shackled to a post, as I am a dialysis patient, however Noraly has unshackled my brain and I am able to see the world through her eyes!
Great to see you back on the dirt roads Noraly. You are not just a solo motorcyclist, adventure rider, you are indeed an accomplished documentarian and cinematographer, I now love the drone footage at the end of each video, simply stunning.

@@ItchyBoots As you are a geoligist I would like to ask a question. The great flood in the Bible is diskribed as a very violent event. How would that, if tru be the impact on the layers you date the earth by. Well, I don`t know about any of you other viewers of these amazing videos but to me, it is like I travel to another planet when I am watching and simply forget everything that is happening around me. I have watched every single video in the 5 series and this series beats all the others, by far. Noralie, right now I am very jeaulous because in 2019 I worked as a volunteer on a farm close to the Gamsbergpass, called Rooiklipfarm. I traveled the Namib desert on a weekly base and I enjoyed it so much. Working on the farm close to the namib desert was such an unique experience with hunting, farming, watching animals in the wild, repair water pipes throu the desert and things like that. Noraly having grown up in Namibia I can say that you were extremely fortunate to have seen a pangolin. Being a shy and mainly nocturnal creature they are seldom encountered. Sadly the pangolin is hunted extensively and it’s tragic to know that extinction of this species looms:(
Namibia is a paradise. The drone shots at the end of the episode, simply breathtaking. I wish I was there. Thank you for showing us the beauty of this planet.
I enjoy reading the comments below because they add another dimension to the fascinating itchyboots story, but there are too many of them to read, which is a sign of the immense popularity of this unique series.
Good morning Noraly! Great to see you and Savannah back on the trails in Namibia after your side excursion to the Yamaha shop in Windhoek. Hope all is well and that you are enjoying the adventure as much as your fans are. Stay safe, keep well, and happy trails! Let's go!
I just looked it up without looking at any comments at all but the pangolin is an anteater in English. You never cease to amaze us with you understanding of different languages. What a lovely trait to have.
The brick paved roads were just such a surprise! I don't know that I would see all of the interesting things you do if I were traveling alone in such a sparsely populated piece of our earth. I so appreciate the explanation about the inversion of the clouds, creating fog! The quiver trees are magical,, along with your drone filming of the evening light in that desert.
A pangolin, the oldest desert, the views, your story telling. Always a joy to watch your videos. Thanks for lighting up a raincloud covered day Günter früm Nürnberg/Germany
Itchy Boots, I have followed your travels for years.. and at 68 years old, you have inspired me and I now have my first motorcycle... a Moto Guzzi... to start my travels in N & S America. You are a real inspiration and your videography and music have improved every year... so awesome. I hope you are able to travel for the rest of your wonderful life... and to bless us all with your world imagery.
It's almost surreal to find such a luxurious little place in the middle of the desert. The place could pass as some location on a desert planet in a SciFi film anytime. Out off this world-beautiful! :oD …and how very handy to be able to fly the drone right of the dinner table! ^^)
There are quite a number of 'desert lodge' type of accommodation around the Namib, some basic, but some super luxurious - you've just got to get there!
My thoughts exactly. I can't imaging, comparing our daily 'rat-race' style of living with the lodge-owner overthere ... just wondering what they do all day ...
I've many times had a feeling of, "let things go" in my down times but my God Noraly, watching one video of yours definitely gives that power and unimaginable feeling of willingness. All the History of great people and old inspirational stories pass by my thoughts too. Keep it going Itchy Boots! 👍
I'm not known by family and friends for being particularly effusive. Not a lot really gets my juices flowing these days, as a curmudgeonly 57yr old. However, I just found myself watching the end of this video, as the drone tracked up and across a sunset-lit desert, and found myself saying, (forgive me! 😂) "f+ me" as I took in the almost unbelievable beauty of the landscape. Who'd have thought that a desert could be described as beautiful? I am on awe of how you manage to capture this, time after time. Having spent the last three months catching up on past videos, I feel like I've been on a journey myself around the world. It is not overstating things when I say it's been an experience in itself, such is the standard of filming, story telling and education. Thank you, Noraly.
Spreetshoogte pass - have riden it with my mountain bike. We have done training rides on our mountain bikes from Windhoek to Solitaire - in one day. Stunning area that you are in now.
The place has changed quite a lot since our visit 25 years ago. But the small general store is still there it seems. This was such an amazing place to visit, and still is. It really lives up to its name: Solitaire! Thank you for showing us this amazing place (again) Noraly!

We all were young once, but did we waste our youth dreaming about living the life that are living right now. To say you are an exceptional person would be a huge understatement.
Noraly: "this is the pass...didn't expect that." Sounds very disappointed it wasn't a winding broken trail of 20+ degrees inclination. But to see a pangolin. That's truly exciting, right? Another great video - thank you.
These are wonderful adventures, Noraly! Thank you so much for sharing them! I love your relaxed presence and editing style. I always feel like you are taking me along for the journey.
Noraly, you are so much more than my favorite adventure motorcyclist. Amazing the knowledge, information and adventure youo share with us:). You certainly are a "country girl", don't like hanging out in cities! Thank you for another fantastic ride.
Hubby & I binge watched your Namibia videos yesterday - still have some more to watch. I love how you have researched the history of the areas that you visit. We were there last year & did the typical tourist route, hope to go back next year to do more of the geology of the area. 👍
We are so incredibly lucky 🍀 to have the opportunity to join you on your adventure through the most deserted desert that I’ve ever seen❗️ Absolutely beautiful scenery and a great place to stay and park Savannah. Ride safe Noraly!
Hello Noraly, your big smile and the joy you get when you left the city limits and return to gravel road, amazing. The scenery and landscape changes from breathtaking to beautyness every few minutes. Stay save and healthy and as always keep the rubber to the road. Greetings from Germany
Wow you saw a pangolin. I’m Namibian 🇳🇦 and it’s very Rare to Find one. Criminals catch them and sell to Chinese People for a lot of money. But if Caught with it you will be locked up in Jail also for a lot of years. They are so endangered
Solitaire! A perfect place in the desert for you to find solitude. At this point, I believe 113,766 of us would like to share that with you (Oh, 66 gave a thumbs down -They want to stay home). But, it would destroy Solitaire for all of us. Thank you for sharing the magnificent ride and the incredible solace you found there.
Good evening, you had an awesome privilege to see a Pangolin, in Afrikaans it is known as an Itermagog. I like many other people have never seen one despite working in the wild areas of South Africa for more than 25 years. You are very blessed, God bless
What a beautiful country, I’ve never been to the desert and watching your travels visiting new places. Thanks for all that is you. I look forward to seeing where we go next.
The location you stayed at in this episode is STUNNING. Second only to the lodge you stayed at in episode 45 when you first crossed into the namib dessert. Enjoy every minute Noraly.
To me, what Noraly does through these "seasons" of travel is break down the mental barrier to exploring distant lands. Yes, one can be more remote and camp out but she shows us how accommodating - interpreted all ways - each country can be. Riding a motorcycle through these countries immediately connotes vulnerability of the rider to those who live there and they are inclined to lend a hand, if needed.
One leaves huge pieces of oneself in the desert. Once you travel through it, you cannot stop thinking about it, and you just want to go back. Loved the inquisitive kid and doggie.
“That was literally 2 kilometers on tarmac, heheh” Nobody fools Noraly, she finds her favourite kind of roads anyhow! Awesome place you have found at he end of this day trip, really beautiful with the flowering trees!
Hurry up and hide those Pangolins before poachers hunt them down and ship them East to get killed. I believe they are Endangered. Noraly, thanks for giving us the opportunity to see those cute little critters. Extremely astonishing and varied landscape, especially with those drone sequences interwoven with great audio. YOU ARE A GENIUS! Giving Savanah another beating with her new re-sealed fork and steering. Thanks for the Climate lesson as well. What amazing places to stay in the middle of nowhere. WOW! Take care and ride safe. 🤟🏽🖖🏽
Thanks for another fantastic episode. I really enjoyed the explanation about the Namibian desert from professor Noraly. 😊👌 55 mio years 😳 Amazing. And no rain for over 20 years. Well, here in Denmark we haven’t had rain for 20 minutes and counting.
Wow Noraly I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful scenes of the Namib Desert as you have shown us here and also the flowers of the Quiver Tree, stunning! Thank you. Wonderful seeing the Pangolin crossing the road, that was just amazing. Keep safe I am so enjoying your videos of the South Africa, Namibia that I am now a bit too old to travel to. Thank you & love from Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape, South Africa ❤❤
There are a lot of people copying Norale but they are not nearly as popular and entertaining. I can only think that the thumbs down come from them and their friends and families. Bad losers.
Noraly, someday 50-60 years in the future when you're an old woman, you can look back on your life and smile, knowing you have been places and done things that other people worldwide, have only dreamed of. You will have lived a full life, knowing that thousands of people like me, have followed you and witnessed your dream. Thank you for taking all of us on your travels with you, and for showing us the World. God Bless you Noraly. Ride safe, & have fun. 😎❤
Your videos make me want to take a motorcycle trip to the Namib desert just to experience the cool places to stay! Thanks for letting us tag along, another wonderful video that looks like you have a camera crew with you filming all of your adventures. What a treat to see a pangolin crossing the road! Such beautiful desert creatures. Thank You Noraly for another great adventure.
Masterful camera work and editing. Once more the drone footage was spectacular. So fortunate to see such a rare animal. I worked in the Canadian Arctic for several years, and had the good fortune to see Polar Bears and Beluga Whales in their natural habitat. The special memory that develops from encounters like that stay with you for a long time. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.

A pangolin, the oldest desert, the views, your story telling. Always a joy to watch your videos. Thanks for lighting up a raincloud covered day

:oD
…and how very handy to be able to fly the drone right of the dinner table! ^^)
There are quite a number of 'desert lodge' type of accommodation around the Namib, some basic, but some super luxurious - you've just got to get there!
there have been some sci-fi movies made here - Mad Max and a few others
My thoughts exactly. I can't imaging, comparing our daily 'rat-race' style of living with the lodge-owner overthere ... just wondering what they do all day ...
@@joshocht3483 Oh, the lodge owners will be busy enough keeping their places in shape.
geology classes students hands up.... always a pleasure seeing and learning Noraly. Amazing views.
I've many times had a feeling of, "let things go" in my down times but my God Noraly, watching one video of yours definitely gives that power and unimaginable feeling of willingness. All the History of great people and old inspirational stories pass by my thoughts too.
Keep it going Itchy Boots! 👍
True bro
@@ammuanandagal1637 yup yup
Who operates the drone?
You are truly very, very lucky to see a pangolin.
I've lived in Namibia my whole life and am yet to see one.
Selwers
WOW!
If they are really so rare then it is truly shameful, that the Chinese should eat them or use them in their ridiculous 'medicines'
@@carolflower8015 They do the same with the rinos, and now the Chinese are taking advantage of our governments corruption and are overfishing in our waters.
The drone shots at the end of the recent videos are such a beautiful way to close them.
Such a surreal moment to see you ride on familiar roads.
There’ll be a time when a nurse or love one will hold you’re old feeble head up to view one of theses videos and you’ll know it was a wonderful life you’ve lived. Youth=Heaven. We all were young once, but did we waste our youth dreaming about living the life that are living right now. To say you are an exceptional person would be a huge understatement.
"where are you going?"
" To the Desert! :D"
So inspiring Noraly, You are solely responsible for me wanting an adventure bike.
"Alone?!"
"OF COURSE! :D"
Gravel Travel the only way and it is much easier on the little Honda, I did it on a big GS still an incredible Experience! Stay safe!
Me 2.
Beautiful desert mountains rocks off road riding lovely people's very very nice video Noraly 👌👌👌👌👌👌👍👍👍👍👍👍🙏🙂
Most UA-cam channels I watch to waste time but with your channel, every episode, I get a little smarter. Thanks! 😎
Amazing Thank You
Noraly: "this is the pass...didn't expect that." Sounds very disappointed it wasn't a winding broken trail of 20+ degrees inclination.
But to see a pangolin. That's truly exciting, right? Another great video - thank you.
Pangolins are nocturnal so shes very lucky
Hi Jim, I didn't see your post before I posted!
it's schubdier!! that was so cute NORALY
I'm looking forward to the television series of your travels.
" Lets hit the dirt." what a way to go.
Hubby & I binge watched your Namibia videos yesterday - still have some more to watch. I love how you have researched the history of the areas that you visit. We were there last year & did the typical tourist route, hope to go back next year to do more of the geology of the area. 👍
like that giggle when you hit the dirt road. you really love bad roads.! beautifull video shots! wish yousafe riding.
Desert accommodation is differently worth a smile looks a cool rest from the sun wind No rian for twenty years 🥂🍾 🌱🌿☘️🌾🤧👢
Critically endangered in the wild here in Malaysia.. the panggolin. So sad. Lucky you to meet them there. Good luck & take care Nora.
Thanks ma wonder woman for allowing us to live our lives vicariously through your lens.
Watching from Sydney Australia
Bless up
Wow you saw a pangolin. I’m Namibian 🇳🇦 and it’s very Rare to Find one. Criminals catch them and sell to Chinese People for a lot of money. But if Caught with it you will be locked up in Jail also for a lot of years. They are so endangered
Oh when you came over the hill the view was absolutely stunning. Yes you are so lucky, but so are we to have you sharing this.
Our country is very beautiful 🇳🇦🤗💖💃
When they ask you ,alone? Know that hundred thousands of us are riding with you,you are never alone.
What a beautiful country, I’ve never been to the desert and watching your travels visiting new places. Thanks for all that is you. I look forward to seeing where we go next.
stunning landscapes! drone footages at closing are dramatically beautiful.
The location you stayed at in this episode is STUNNING. Second only to the lodge you stayed at in episode 45 when you first crossed into the namib dessert. Enjoy every minute Noraly.
did you get the name of the place?
No. I did not discover the name. Both places looked so very nice. Well.... They all do truthfully. 👍
I was about to start writing notes for my research paper and saw notification and I was like wait I need to see the video first
Priorities! 💪😜
@@ItchyBoots it was amazing video I loved it ! You always give kinda inspiration to work more harder so one day I can just start riding like you !
You explain complicated things so simply like why the Namib desert is a desert for many million years. Love it - thank you 🙏
The lone rider has found the Desert, Itchy Boots and Savanna.
One leaves huge pieces of oneself in the desert. Once you travel through it, you cannot stop thinking about it, and you just want to go back. Loved the inquisitive kid and doggie.
“That was literally 2 kilometers on tarmac, heheh”
Nobody fools Noraly, she finds her favourite kind of roads anyhow!
55 mio years 😳 Amazing. And no rain for over 20 years.
Well, here in Denmark we haven’t had rain for 20 minutes and counting.
Your videos are brilliant. It's a joy to see Namibia again after 21 years.
Seeing a Pangolin is believed to bring you pure luck in Wamboe culture/tradition.
So its a sign of blessings upon your life.
Spreethshoogte pass was build by my husbands, grand fathers ,brother. So cool to see.
Pangolin…love them 😍
I have an Armadillo that lives in my backyard; his name is Andy.
Your classroom on two wheels is the best Noraly 👏
Wow Noraly I don't think I have ever seen such beautiful scenes of the Namib Desert as you have shown us here and also the flowers of the Quiver Tree, stunning! Thank you. Wonderful seeing the Pangolin crossing the road, that was just amazing. Keep safe I am so enjoying your videos of the South Africa, Namibia that I am now a bit too old to travel to. Thank you & love from Port Elizabeth Eastern Cape, South Africa ❤❤
The view and the road down the pass were simply awesome.
Wow.. nice.. another beautiful view..
Why are there people here who give a thumbs down? Noraly shows us such great impressions and landscapes. I really don't understand some people
There are a lot of people copying Norale but they are not nearly as popular and entertaining. I can only think that the thumbs down come from them and their friends and families. Bad losers.
@@fionam.1784 Some cultures a thumbs up is disrespectful.

@@judybull4548 that’s interesting...What cultures...very confusing for logarithms?
Any place... with your courage, running bike, video shots and music choice, for a moment, becomes extremely beautiful.
Reliving my love of Namibia through Noraly's eyes...
Just awesome landscapes! I can’t believe the beautiful places you find to stay( in the middle of nowhere!). And so cool you saw a pangolin!
Wow! The Places We Get To Visit With You! Awesome! Just Awesome!
I love the way that for most of the video its all beautiful landscapes and smooth riding, then bam!!!! At around the 15:00 mark you hit us with the 'air inversion' deep info (that was very interesting by the way). Thanks for another great video! :)
