I just bought an ad2 model for $5 in excellent condition. Looks brand new actually the gentleman hardly used it. Looking forward to giving it a go. Great video guys.
@@liosmani9353 it is sturdy but u have to look if the one youre looking at is working correctly. some of the older ones sold might be loose somewhere or somehow after being used for years. mine is working fine
Older models are chain drive which is much larger and requires more maintenance than the newer models like the AD6, AD7, and AD Pro which have a rubber belt drive. Belt drive is superior. Lower noise level, less maintenance, smoother. Big difference that you should highlight more.
agree with everything you guys mentioned. i have the ad2 and although there's is a clicking noise shortly after assembly and using it about 1 month (brand new), it is pretty bulletproof as of 1.5 yrs of fairly hard use at least 2x per week.
AD 7 is the very same bike as AD pro other than the name on the bike. Meant for commercial gym use as opposed to AD7 is for home use. 6 of 1, half dozen of the other. Logo for marketing to gyms. I have a Schwinn evo comp..$325 from a sports equipment re- sale place. I love it for the versatility. Upper body, lower body...even strength work if you do it properly. (One arm pulls or pushes with deliberate form) Great product! Too bad they discontinued that model. Guess I’ll settle for the AD 6 when it’s time retire it...or let a pro refurbish it!
Can you hear the bike through an apartment wall? Can you do high intensity interval exercise with the smaller fan where you reach maximum heart rate? Thank you.
Hi, I just got the same model off Facebook Resale... Any advice you can give would be great. Mine seems really hard to pedal. Can I grease something or loosen any knobs?
I have watched this a few times you guys are funny. I was wondering about your bike that’s discontinued. There’s two here online one looks well used at $200 and another that looks like new at $375. I was wondering how hard would it be to dismantle it to get into my car? I had the big older version so I am familiar with the noise. I am completely scared of the new electronic gizmos since there’s so many bad reviews. Also if you have air pod pros will you be able to hear music etc 🥰 thanks you guys
You can still hear music while riding this bike, it’s not that loud. And it should fit in a larger SUV or truck just fine. Maybe a car if the seats fold down, but unsure.
Hello, I'm a personal trainer and I think yes. A recumbent bike is a good option but if the person is able, something like this would be even better. A rowing machine is also a really good option as it's easier and gives you a good workout being too "cardio". The row machine requires some instruction to properly use tho and bikes do not. Does someone in your family have osteoporosis?
We've never used an Assault Bike, but I'm sure it's similar or just as good. I did find this article comparing the two: bodhealthiness.com/exercise-bikes/assault-bike-vs-airdyne/
My original Schwinn Airdyne lasted over 30 years. I'm now in the market for a new one, so thanks for the review.
Your old one could be rebuilt and keep going for another 30 years

Clanking may be a loose chain or fan cover. There is a video of how to fix it. Thanks for the great review.

Is the bike noisy enough that you can hear it through apartment walls? Thank you.

Now that is a real exercise bike! Not the other BS I see on the market.
Great review guys. Quick question, how tall are you lads? I'm 6'5", just wondering if this might be a little too small for me. Thanks
AD2 is quiet. Thanks for the review.

do the old school airdyne work the muscles as good as the overpriced new style ones
Does any company make an air bike that is quiet enough not to be heard through apartment walls?

There aren’t any resistance knobs the intensity varies by how fast or slow you pedal. Not sure if your pedaling area needs lubrication?!

Which bike did you buy? Can you hear the bike through apartment walls/floors when pedaling hard? Thank you.
