I recently purchased the AD6. I followed your tutorial and had the bike assembled in about 30 minutes. I didn't have to bother with the directions manual because your info was spot on! Great Job sir
Just got my AD6 today and didn't even bother looking at the manual; I just watched your video instead. Very clear and detailed and at a easy pace I was able to assemble mine in less than an hour. Thank you! I will certainly bookmark you website as well for any future parts!
Thanks buddy, you just saved me 85 bucks for someone to come to my house and do this. When I eventually need parts, I'll definitely give you the business.....Thank You.
Thank you for making it so easy for me to assemble .I didn't think that I was going to do it but your video instruction step by step can have anyone to do this. Great job.
We've assembled the bike but we had some trouble with the seat. We've tightened the bolt under the padded seat - we've actually tightened it so much that are arms were killing us and the seat still goes forward and backward when we're using it. Can you please advise what to do?
Brandon I have like an office/gym room downstairs and when I pedal loud it sounds loud to me and I can’t completely hear the tv I’m watching as I pedal so I assume it’s very loud to others in the house. Family have yet to complain about any noise leakage.
Hi Nader, I just finished assembling my AD6 and have exactly the same problem. Did you ever find a solution? I simply can’t get it any tighter by hand! Thanks for any advice you can offer!
@@hammerhead78 Hello, I basically unscrewed the seat and did the process again. It is never 100% perfect but better than the original time. You would think the seat that will carry people's weight on would be more secure/no movement but it is what it is.
I just bought the AD6 and followed your video and assembled the bike without a hitch. Question: Would you know if you can swap out the AD6 post for a AD8? I would like to adjust the seat position forward and back.
The answer is, no. The frames are a different design, making the size and shape of the seat post different. The AD8 is a Nautilus product, which means it is geared to the commercial side instead of residential.
I purchsed mine about 3 years ago. Did great until the right pedal gel off. Now it won't go back on the crank arm it seems to be stripped? Have you ever seen this?
Sounds like all you need is a new crank arm and pedal. See those here: This is the users right crank arm: www.sportsmith.com/right-crank-assembly-service-kit-schwinn-ad6/product/110622?serial=3105 and this is the users right pedal: www.sportsmith.com/bike-pedal-right-1-2-schwinn-ad6/product/110630?serial=3105 thanks for the question!!
Great job! Your video was spot on. Too bad the AD6 that I received was defective. Don’t throw away you box and styrofoam until you throughly check out the bike.
@@barbarahafner2372 Ahhh, thanks! We've been scratching our heads for the last couple of weeks. My husband even picked up the strap today and questioned that it might have fallen from something else. Appreciate the response
I'd love to see a quick tutorial on setting up and using the console for altitude, etc... I live 300metres/984ft above sea level and I swear I have it set up the for the wrong elevation. When setting up the console if I select "M" my setting is 984 (for feet) if I select "KM" my setting is 300 (for metres). Would this be correct?
Called customer service to get installation instructions. By the time they picked up (40mins) i had all installed from looking at the picture on the box. Took me a while to figure where the chrome pieces belonged....lol
Sportsmith , would you happen to have standard chain size for the AD4 ? Just called customer service and they didn't have it. Any and all assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. 🚲
Mine just arrived. I'll open up the box tomorrow and cast this UA-cam video to my TV!!!!

You are very welcome!
Can you hear the bike through apartment walls/floors when pedaling hard on the AD6?

Hi my monitor just keeps going on and off when I use it. Any ideas? Thanks
I can’t find the screw and bolt needed to install the seat. The manual doesn’t say what kind it is either

You're welcome!
can you make a vid on how to change the belt?
We'll put that on our list, thank you.
We have just completed both belt videos. The HTD(drive) Belt and the Poly-v(fan) Belt replacement videos. Thanks for the suggestion!
If you are going to install the reading rack-do so before installing the water bottle holder. It's easier.
What's the red velcro strap for
To fix one of the arms so they don't move when you don't use the bike. I don't need it though

Which chain? There are two. One from crank to idler and one from idler to fan.
Sportsmith , idler to fan.
It's a 92 link chain. See it here: www.sportsmith.net/itemform.aspx?item=P1490457
