Hi Miya. Not the best video to respond to a message during breakfast ;-) I saw it from close range. There were maggets in the toad's nostrils and it actually died shortly after the video. Once infected, the toads unfortunately can't survive. The flies might infect individual toads (and kill them in a horrific way), but populations will not disappear.
My pet toad seemed like it was dying and now its standing like how this toad is and it violently shakes when trying to walk. It also tries to swallow even tho it hasnt eaten anything, do u think it might have this???
@@Swartgaming its died and instead of drying up its body was like a deflaiting stress ball full of water and it was releasing its toxic stuff heavily. Also I put it in a box the day it started shaking violently and when I checked it was just like a toad balloon and it left a wet spot. I buried it in my front yard
The reason why it kept trying to swallow is because all of the maggots that were in its mouth; it was trying to swallow them, but for some strange reason it couldn’t manage to eat the larva. You should’ve pulled it’s mouth open because you’d be able to see the maggots in there, or hold the toad under water to drowned the maggots (Toads and frogs can absorb oxygen from the water so it’s almost impossible for toads to drowned.

How do you know it was infected?
What’s the toad trying to bite? It keeps opening its mouth like it’s trying to eat or bite something.
Nothing really, it's more like a convulsion.
@@vincentvanderspek4148 A convulsion? How do you mean, exactly?, because It only opens its mouth three times.
It has trouble breathing.
