Nearly all white Coot. A lot of people would call this 'albino', but this is another colour aberration, probably leucism (albino's are extremely rare in the wild). There was still some black on the face and the legs were normally coloured. Zeewolde, the Netherlands, December 2018

True wildlife horror, and not a pretty sight: Common Toad (Bufo bufo) infected by a blow fly (Lucilia bufonivora). Their maggets eats through the toads nose and brains, ultimately killing their "host"...

Peculiar behaviour. During the hour I observed this cetacean, it mainly stayed at the surface. Dives were very short.

Not sure about the Netherlands but in Canada those things are vicious. You dont go near them or they'll hiss and charge at you. We also stop for them to cross the road though. Even though they can fly...stopping human traffic on the ground totally isn't a dick move.
