Honestly I wish they’d do their spin on some Lolita brands. I know they also did ‘kawaii.’ They claimed Sunny was Kawaii but I felt she was only ever so faintly inspired by Kawaii fashion and her outfit wasn’t all done well.
Emi has a hint of alternative emo/goth like I was in high school and I’m an artist too she is definitely my all time fave RH doll so far. Plus pink & black are my fave colors

Melissa, when you hold some things up close to the camera, it would be so greatly appreciated if you could hold it for a fraction of a second longer. It doesn't come into focus immediately and then you take it away quite quickly so it's hard to get the details sometimes. Just to let you know as a viewer. I love your videos and I love you!☺️💕
I LOVE Emi!! she's my favorite of the new lines. Im obsessed with the first outfit and I personlly think the "no neck" sweater makes her look so cute and almost shorter. She's a perfect mix of sweet and angst. :))
I, personally, prefer the look of the moon socks with the sandals over the thigh-high boots. However, I've noticed a lot of the Rainbow High shoes seem difficult to put on and remove for these being toys for kids! I could see a younger kid thinking these dolls are so cool and then being disappointed by how difficult they are to dress.
I agree on the shoes. Sometimes I think it's because of my funky fingers, but then I remember that little kids don't have fully developed dexterity either.
I didn't get these for nieces cuz they are just way to hard to dress. It take me 30 min to dress ser 1 sunny cuz her jean was just too tight. Then a lot of the high heel shoe (I have to cut Kristal on the back just to get them on) are almost impossible to slip on. IMO these doll are more for collector then little kid.
Personally if you ask me while I do think rainbow high can be a toy for kids I do not think their target audience is kids. Now I’m not saying the shoes aren’t hard to get off however based off of the way I’ve seen the marking them selves and the show to me it seems like they are more targeting people who like fashion dolls and collectors rather than children however that’s just my opinion on it.

The doll herself is gorgeous, I love her hair, eyes and lips. The neck issue is definitely outfit-related, and speaking of outfits, I'm not a fan of her clothes. Her boots are great, but the shoes are meh, her first hoodie looks too busy, while her second one looks too plain. I wear hoodies a lot, and I feel they've missed the opportunity to give her cool hoodies. I intended to buy her, but now I doubt I need her. But the news about Wave 3 being on Amazon is great, yay!

And when there's little visual differences between the dolls it stands out to us. I'm not sure how anyone could misconstrue that as anything else or god forbid, hating on disabled people. Unless English wasn't their first language? Either way keep up the great work and your zest for doll collecting. You have shown through your hundreds of videos that you are a very understanding and compassionate woman regardless of how anyone looks like.

The black hoodie is very reminiscent of Asian (specifically Japanese and Korean) street fashion. Where a lot of the street clothing has printed on accessories. I find that a lot here in LA in local Asian markets and stores that import clothing. Also my doll is also shedding, right out of the box. I tie her hair up. And she had staining from her black hoodie too.
The boots most definitely as they look so cool and help the goth aesthetic which is what got me to notice her. So far I haven’t found an Emi at my local Walmart but I did find Gabrielle, Sheryl, and Daphne (who I bought first). Hopefully the rest become easier to find as the week goes by.
I actually think my favorite part of Emi's outfit is her black sweatshirt. I don't care much for branded things, but I could tell it was inspired by Moschino. Also ONE more thing, I find it strange that the color change dolls are supposed to be fairies but they don't have wings.

She is my first ever Rainbow High doll. I really wanted Kia, but she was too expensive. I am glad to have Emi. I also really like her character in the show. She isn't rude or petty.
The doll is gorgeous! I love that they made the contrast in the tones so vivid in her hair. Just glancing at the comments here, it seems like people are pretty divided on either liking or disliking her clothes. I think that’s actually kind of neat, because it means that there must be something about her look that really resonates with some people. I’m not really fan of it, although I do like the contrast with more black in it. I’ll probably collect the other series three dolls first though and budget for her later.

I’ve always been a little annoyed that they put out dolls with the ear holes but no earings. I feel like if they’re going to do this, they should at least have little accessory fashion packs. They would sell so well! Imagine a little box with like five earring sets in different molds and colors, or little cute boxes that each have a different shoes and handbag set. It would also be nice if there were just some smaller fashion packs in general instead of $60 play sets to get any additional clothes. At least these dolls come with two outfits.

Emi is my favorite mostly because I love all things purple. The others are just as gorgeous but purple wins out all the time. I think her shoes are fabulous, but I do loves me a thigh high boot. so Boots win for me.

I love those high boots but reality reminds me that I got some developed athletic calves and even at my smallest those types of boots don't fit. 🥴 Thank the heavens for brands who create wider designs. 😅

Every time she says Emi with the critical tone I get nervousXD I have this doll but I haven't unboxed her yet but I feel like we are sort of kindred spirits in a sense, especially with the similar tastes in gothic aesthetics and the purple and the fact that we're both visual artists. And based off some of the other comments she sounds like she's Asian coded, which...I...Emi V, you are literally me once I have a good place to put you I am going to free you from the box!
In the box, I see her neck quite clearly. She’s my 2nd pick to get. I got my first, Sheryl who I adore. I would buy these dolls for a girl under 8 years.
the tie on shoes are also not my favorite, not just because it's impossible for me to get it to look good, but because the heels are almost always warped or something, where they stick out too far, so it doesn't even look like a shoe anymore
I don't know about now but when I was younger I had a lot of clothes that were designed to make you look like you had on jewelry or other accessories. Which was honestly great for me cause I love the look but hate the feel of wearing jewelry. Was a big thing back then not much sure about now.

I definitely like the heels more for the second look - the colors all harmonize more - but the boots look nice with it too lol. Daria and Sheryl are next on my list but Emi's really grown on me in owner's hands and in general this whole wave is one I want to collect all of. Also IIRC Georgia didn't come with her own earrings, just earring holes? Unless mine was lacking in them - I also didn't get a hanger with the 'rainbow' embedded for her garment either so who knows.
I think the shoes show off the cute strap details of the skirt better, while the boots sort of visually overwhelm it. Both are cute, but I think I also personally like the shoes better.
I didn't start getting tattoos until I was 55. It's true that the results are not as nice as they might have been when my skin was smoother and more supple, but I'm still happy I've got them. Maybe don't get tattooed on the most sun damaged parts of your body, i.e., forearms.

Agree on the 2 hoodies…makes no sense to me either. I love the name though - her color is “orchid” and her last name is Vanda, which is a species of orchid. Very cool attention. Vandas are also native to Thailand and a few other Asian countries, which makes her being Asian even more likely.
I went to 5 Below and brought earrings to put on Emi and Georgia I even used some of the ear rings on the ILY dolls the set I brought had different size earrings love Emi and Georgia and Sheryl too
yes a six year old can tie that ribbon into a nice ribbon… i had a barbie doll that came with a cape that had a ribbon closer and i was able to make different types of tops and dresses with that one thing

I feel like my five year old will never get to grips with the tie up shoes . I much prefer the boots. I think aesthetically the doll orchid purple pops with the black I think that's what appeals to my daughter the bright contrast. I like she is very different maybe goth/ emo in look not like the other girls shows some difference and diversity .

I've been telling everyone that this is RH's major flaw, providing doll's Hoodies like MOST OF THE TIME! (sorry, caps). There are LOT of Fashion Pieces, and they don't really always have to be hoodies. This line already has bags in it, so why not take it all the way? I think she'll be sorta RH's Japanese-coded character, that'll be awesome! Looking forward to having her and IF I DO, I might have to remove the embroidered Pearl Necklaces and the Purse! I think she's way better off with those. And I don't think that embroidered accessories were really a thing in the fashion industry? Anyways, to each of their own is still how you play and collect the dolls so, yeah.

The series 1 dolls were like that, too: Some had earrings and some didn't even have pierced ears. Not sure why.

I love those high boots but reality reminds me that I got some developed athletic calves and even at my smallest those types of boots don't fit. 🥴 Thank the heavens for brands who create wider designs. 😅

I was going to pass on Emi when she was first released but I just bought her on Saturday after Target was getting ready for Shadow High and I am so happy I bought her. Her face and clothes are so cute and she gives me big vampy/witchy vibes!

I have this doll but I haven't unboxed her yet but I feel like we are sort of kindred spirits in a sense, especially with the similar tastes in gothic aesthetics and the purple and the fact that we're both visual artists. And based off some of the other comments she sounds like she's Asian coded, which...I...Emi V, you are literally me once I have a good place to put you I am going to free you from the box!

the tie on shoes are also not my favorite, not just because it's impossible for me to get it to look good, but because the heels are almost always warped or something, where they stick out too far, so it doesn't even look like a shoe anymore
I don't know about now but when I was younger I had a lot of clothes that were designed to make you look like you had on jewelry or other accessories. Which was honestly great for me cause I love the look but hate the feel of wearing jewelry. Was a big thing back then not much sure about now.
I LOVE her! Personally I liked both skirts but the boots and the v-neck hoodie were way better than the other options.

I definitely like the heels more for the second look - the colors all harmonize more - but the boots look nice with it too lol. Daria and Sheryl are next on my list but Emi's really grown on me in owner's hands and in general this whole wave is one I want to collect all of.
Also IIRC Georgia didn't come with her own earrings, just earring holes? Unless mine was lacking in them - I also didn't get a hanger with the 'rainbow' embedded for her garment either so who knows.
I think the shoes show off the cute strap details of the skirt better, while the boots sort of visually overwhelm it. Both are cute, but I think I also personally like the shoes better.
I didn't start getting tattoos until I was 55. It's true that the results are not as nice as they might have been when my skin was smoother and more supple, but I'm still happy I've got them. Maybe don't get tattooed on the most sun damaged parts of your body, i.e., forearms.

Agree on the 2 hoodies…makes no sense to me either. I love the name though - her color is “orchid” and her last name is Vanda, which is a species of orchid. Very cool attention. Vandas are also native to Thailand and a few other Asian countries, which makes her being Asian even more likely.

I went to 5 Below and brought earrings to put on Emi and Georgia I even used some of the ear rings on the ILY dolls the set I brought had different size earrings love Emi and Georgia and Sheryl too
yes a six year old can tie that ribbon into a nice ribbon… i had a barbie doll that came with a cape that had a ribbon closer and i was able to make different types of tops and dresses with that one thing

Just got her from smyths today, she is amazing. Her colours are so cute, although she has staining on her arms. And I’m not undoing the second pair of shoes lol .
I don’t like Emi but I see her neck fine. I hate her main fashion but her second is great. My favorites are mint and peach! Her eye do look crossed but that might just be the new face mold.
Emi was the first one of S3 I got. I love her so much. And yes to the boots, those sandals while cute are the devil and I refuse to remove them from their plastic supports, she will forever live in her boots.

I feel like my five year old will never get to grips with the tie up shoes . I much prefer the boots. I think aesthetically the doll orchid purple pops with the black I think that's what appeals to my daughter the bright contrast. I like she is very different maybe goth/ emo in look not like the other girls shows some difference and diversity .
I bought her today at Target. The Walmart stores in my area are always delayed in getting new stuff. I think she may be my new favorite. I love her colors and her eyes are stunning. So, most dolls names for Rainbow High are usually associated with color names. I’m not sure about her name though.

I love Emi the way she's dressed in her 2nd outfit. I can't really dig the embroidered Bag on her 1st hoodie. I've been telling everyone that this is RH's major flaw, providing doll's Hoodies like MOST OF THE TIME! (sorry, caps). There are LOT of Fashion Pieces, and they don't really always have to be hoodies. This line already has bags in it, so why not take it all the way? I think she'll be sorta RH's Japanese-coded character, that'll be awesome! Looking forward to having her and IF I DO, I might have to remove the embroidered Pearl Necklaces and the Purse! I think she's way better off with those. And I don't think that embroidered accessories were really a thing in the fashion industry? Anyways, to each of their own is still how you play and collect the dolls so, yeah.
