Very nice. I will have to remember this for a romantic dinner about destroying the planet. Also the callback to the Manoria Cathedral theme was very cool.
@@AnimalisaKeys Of course! An evening restaurant experience themed on destroying the world isn’t complete without out-of-this-world musical performance
You did a great job juxtaposing the huge chaotic parts with the more delicate moments, really showing your talent here. I definitely second the other comment about a Chrono Trigger album!
I love the attention this thing gets and how the game leads up to you finally fighthing it. It's so well done and it makes the fight feel like it really matters! Love your version and I feel like you captured that same feeling really well! :)
Thank you! I love that aspect of the game so much. You always feel so involved in what’s going on and it keeps you genuinely curious... also the revelation of what happened to the dinosaurs lol
I love those arpeggios you added (like in 2:38 for example) they remind me of the lavos roar/cry/whatever it is. Your covers are sooo consistently exceptional. Have you done or thought about doing any Chrono Cross? By far I prefer Chrono trigger as a whole (especially the battle theme haha). I'm curious to know what you think of the CC soundtrack
It's difficult to keep the intensity up on this piece on a piano rather than an organ, since you can't sustain the sound. That's why I added those arpeggios! Glad you liked it. I am also in love with the CC soundtrack, and plan on playing some tunes from it for sure! After I finish a couple more CT things, hehe
@@AnimalisaKeys Ahh yeah that makes sense. They still remind me of the roar, intentional or not. Chrono Cross' music never really hit me the same way as Trigger. I'm genuinely looking forward to what's next :). I think if you did a cover of every CT song twice it probably wouldn't be too much haha
Wasn't expecting this song at all but it makes so much sense on piano! Awesome job 😁 I always loved how the full version of this song you hear while you fight Lavos contains the game over theme haha
Haha thank you! Yeah I'm trying to do a few tracks that I haven't seen many piano covers for... there's one in particular that's a real beast that I'm ready to record I just need to work up the courage....
Haha, wasn't expecting a piano solo cover of this one! Yeah, the big bombastic parts don't exactly scream 'piano' but you did a great job adapting it. Nicely done!
Amazingly done! Most pianists I have heard play pieces from the CT soundtrack do a fine job of playing the music from the sheet, but have not played the game so they have no idea what emotions would come along with it. I suspect that is not the case for you.
So, I've got two things to say: First, I absolutely love and can hear the feeling you put into playing this vs the midi/chiptune on the SNES. It's no tempo rubato (fortunately), but it's delightful and you've elevated the piece through it. Secondly, did you write the sheet music or did you generate it and then improve on it? Just fantastic, regardless.
Thanks so much, I'm glad you enjoyed it! I usually play by ear, but sometimes I print a transcription and use it to scribble down notes and ideas. I'm rather disorganized, but I make it work :D
I'd love to see the chart's that you're reading. Did you transcribe them yourself? Kudos for covering songs that feature predominately wind instruments. It must be a challenge given the piano's percussive nature.
I think I was using Starsoarer's arrangement as a very rough outline (what I played was def completely different) but yeah, I had to add a lot of fill to imitate the heavy organ sustain for sure
@@AnimalisaKeys Well if you're anything like me adding fill is like icing on the performance cake. Or maybe sprinkles. lol. If you happen to substantially refine the arrangements for any of the songs from chrono trigger I hope you'll make another video to share them.

😱 lavos approves of my rendition of Lavos' theme 😱 perhaps I shall be spared from romantic planetary destruction

Organ or Piano, when those first two chords play, you know it's about to get real
Right?!
Hell yeah. You need to one day put all these songs together into an album and put it out. That would be super sick!
It's like you have a hunch about my secret plan teehee....
Yay, more Chrono Trigger! The callback to Manoria Cathedral at the end was a nice touch :D
Ah, you noticed, hehe. Thanks!
I love it! Your fingers just had an epic boss fight!
Indeed, it's such an epic track!

Thank you 😊
And yes... that’s the idea! I have about 6 more tracks to finish
Ooft, exciting news! I look forward to it!
Amazing cover! Great performance! 👏👏👏
Thank you!!
POWERFUL. The dark arts are tempting! Amazing cover!!
Thank you so much!
Never disappointed when I see these pop up and they are Chrono Trigger. This is excellent.
Thank you! I’ve got about 6 more CT tracks planned over the next few months hehe
The Day of Piano :) Your skills are incredible to play this song as accurate to the original and retaining the same feeling. Congrats!! 👏👏👏
Haha thank you so much!! This one was tricky to make work as a solo piano arrangement so that means a lot!
I really enjoyed how this arrangement worked out!
Thanks, Brad!
Great work, dear, I liked the energy you put into it trough the whole song, excellent performance.
Thank you 😊
welp... time to stop some evil space parasites and/or commit deicide. **shrugs** rpgs am I right? Awesome cover ^_^ definitely a spine chiller
Deicide XD haha that's one way to describe it! Thank you :)

@@AnimalisaKeys I'm guessing Last Battle. That bass part would be fucking sick on piano
@@TripleBMusic Very close, but think a lot earlier in the game and epic but maybe a little less epic

I missed this one somehow! 👏
Well at least you already saw a shortened version of it in the complete OST haha!
@@AnimalisaKeys I did! That’s why I went back through the catalog 😁
It takes ball..- er, ovaries to take on this piece. Seriously you did such a good job arranging and playing it though!

what an ironic comment, looking back (going through pinning links to all my chrono vids lol)
