Guangzhou Airport: Why You Should NOT Transfer Here

It’s the worst, worse than LAX. Terminal 2 has nothing much to do, food are bad and expensive, only two lounges with bad attitude and not much to eat. One of them don’t even take Priority Pass. The other one only for 2 hrs and you have to wait in the lobby for the rest of your layover. They don’t take bank or other programs. Only a chinese one other than PP. not recommended. Do not do long transfer in Guangzhou. Try Shenzhen or Kunming, or any other big cities in China.

I found China Airlines cheap cost ticket but exchanged long transit. Ex Pudo Airport, Guangzhou.
How long limit time for transit in China Airport?

Every time I transfer at Guangzhou, my next flight always delays. The reason is usually because the airplane is not back yet from last flight. And they are never back on time. Feel like a trick from the airlines, if they tell you the actual take off time, perhaps nobody will buy it. So they lie to you and say an earlier time that they can never achieve.
They even setup lazy boy style chairs near some of the gates that always have delayed schedules.
Another reason I don’t recommend Guangzhou airport is the weather. Always rains or storms, more chance to have flights canceled.

do you need a visa to be able to stay in this airport while waiting for a connecting flight to a 3rd country?

perhaps not, but it may depends on the nationality. better to check on immigration website to be sure

Food are bad and expensive, you mean food “is” expensive? GZ is the best airport😊
