I love your vocal techniques' lessons or tips!!! And you speak so clearly that someone whose mother language is not English can understand you completely. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!
This is so perfectly timed for me, Victoria. I’ve been a guitarist for 45 years, and a songwriter for 15. I ‘sang’ but always a distant third to those other two aspects. But I struggled to get others to sing my own songs! So, I have decided to ‘come out’ as a singer as well. I have taken up lessons - having my third on Friday. My first show of my own original music is in three weeks time. It’s very exciting AND equally terrifying. And this topic is EXACTLY what I needed to make up for a voice still in training. Thank you 🙏.
Hello ma'am, I watched your video about Ring and Resonance. Now I can sing differently and not dull. Thank you so much. You are a treasure. I'm happy I found your channel. Hoping to see more lessons like this.
All your videos are a treasure. There's always something new to learn. Since I started listening to your practical words of wisdom and demos, my singing improves big time. Thanks and hoping for more videos from you, dear Victoria!
Saw on Facebook that someone had made a slightly disparaging comment about you. Can't see why anyone would. I'm in the camp that loves you the way you are. Oh, good video, by the way!
Hello Sister, In Bollywood, India, we have a pattern and long list of sad songs in which audience in evening parties may not like to hear. Our , great singer Mukesh , liked to sing sad songs , over any other song . Movies of B&W era , ie prior to 1964 had tone of sadness in many songs , which were hit . How to tackle sad song on stage to , attract attention of audience and not letting them bored ? Regards. From India, in San Francisco at present on short tour .
The ability to keep your audience involved is all in the musical phrasing and storytelling (besides your voice, of course). See my video on phrasing and my playlist on How to Tell a Story in Your Songs. ua-cam.com/play/PLaWjWxiTysDBREhS2ozissxiB24SsahCu.html
@@Victoria-Victorious Hello,Hope your day is well! I recently bought your vocal exercise program it worked perfectly the first day but now it is not. I don’t know if it’s me or website issues.
just coming to show some love. listen to her guys... also if your trying exercises with what ever instrumental of your choice ... do her humming or " lala " lolo" , whatever vowel... some kind of noise.. follow the melody. count the tunes in your head. that marry poppins movie was right with how singing is. i somehow... taught myself how to essentially count the beats in the melody.. each syllable needs to compliment the melody being played in some way.. it feels like magic when you do it. you will feel like your voice is a guitar.. or piano or some instrument and your like constantly "caressing" " hugging" "clashing" " kissing" and "punching" the tune within the melody.. move your body to the beat of the drum too. you are not a good singer at all if your unable to move and walk around while singing. once your ENTIRE body moves or atleast can to the beat and tune within the melody... keep the humming going and or lalala's lololo's, etc... if you cant do this yet... you have no rhythm. and just like johnny cash says " get rhythm" aint nobody!! gonnna listen to your songs because you cant physically and mentally harmonize within the songs notes and chords.... P.S. notes seem to have a corresponding chord that goes with it and vice versa... dont ask how i understand this but it seems extremely relevant. and i honestly dont think there is over 100 keys of sounds " hint hint". maybe some instruments can do what the voice cant somehow compliment. however... i wish you all the best and keep practice her stuff !!! dont be lazy!! BLESS YOU ALL!!!!
Still, there's something to be said for blues guitar players, especially Clapton, to close their eyes and look upward for a few seconds at certain parts of a solo.
Sure, like you said, “for a few seconds at certain parts of a solo.” This video is not about that. It’s about closing your eyes too much. Big difference.
I can't recommend Victoria 's Vocal Technique Program enough. Hey folks if you want your voice to sound absolutely amazing, then buy THIS Program. It's so affordable. Please xheck it out.

How to achive a ghost voice
