blende guru is pretty solid. if you can't learn from him idk maybe you just aren't cut for it. I think people want to see a one to one donut or project but don't understand that there is an experience difference
Joke aside, my girlfriend work in the legal field, had 0 understanding of Blender, not a tech person at all, not even knowing English that well, and with the Donut tutorial she went through all of the chapters without problem and created very fancy donut animation and it she enjoy it, which i was really skeptical she would. If that's not testament how good that tutorial is, I don't know what.
LOL the measure tool is a pain in the butt...hold CTRL and move the mouse over a vert to snap the little circle to that vert and click and drag to another vert...holding the CTRL key the whole time. To delete the measurement select the start or the end of the measurement line (it highlights if there's more than one) and hit delete. You can select the ends of the measurement and drag it to another vert. If you click the middle of the measurement you can change it to angle. Its very finicky.
There are 4 types of people - Good at Blender but poor at teaching These people are often called "talented", and they're incapable of knowing how normal people struggle with simple tasks they effortlessly do. - Poor at Blender but good at teaching These people took tons of effort in learning Blender, and do know how a beginner should learn Blender from scratch. - Both poor at Blender and poor at teaching These people are untalented and beginners, not taking any effort. - Both good at Blender and good at teaching These people are super rare, both talented and excellent at making complex tasks look simple.
This is exactly true. I'm technically category 2 but I still don't put in any effort b/c there are enough people who do and are good at promotion and I wouldn't want to take away their jobs. 😁
The last catagory is so rare because if you are good at your job .... you are busy doing your job ... now ofc there are people like Ian hubert and ben marriot who are very tallanted and also have found a creative release in making videos and giving back to the community but apart from a self branding exercise genuine teachers who are also good are few and far between

They did a study years ago that showed that people either remember a subject they studied or they remember studying it. That's why you have so many people who remember going to school but say they learned nothing and those who know stuff but if you ask 'em how they learned it, they'll just sort of shrug.
Brilliant. It's how I felt when watching his tutorials from blender 2.68...I was following along, until he went to the node editor. Thankfully, I found better teachers to help me learn blender. Grant Abbitt Yan Sculpts Blender4noobs Just to name a few.
Yo stop hating on blender guru dude, if you wan't to make a parody just say "blender tutorials be like" you don't need to drag others in the dirt. Now I am someone who can take a joke don't get me wrong, but the lack of comedy mixed with the title makes it seem like you have beef or some shit.
Blender Gurus Doughnut is a great tutorial as a "tutorial" This guy really knows how to teach people. But i don't think it is a good begining tutprial for someone who never touched 3D in this life and want to take this serious. It's more like: Yo this is 3D Art and i will prove you that this shit slaps and that you can make something cool in a "short" amount of time. But he skipping through many important basics in 3D Graphic. But that is only my take on it sincei learned 3D in Uni with a more academic approach. Maybe on UA-cam and young people you need to make tutprials like that idk. Just my take. Andrew still did so much for Blender!
Lol this is blender comedy gold. Totally subscribed just for that. Nice way to start one’s mornings. Thanks!

OMG I love your blender colors palette! Any chance you would share the settings?

Ye it does. Blender Guru is a cool dude, a light ribbing is fine but in a good spirit.
@@MaximilianonMars Exactly, I hope this guy meant well and just has a strange sense of humor.
I think he just means the teacher. The blender guru. Not "Blender Guru" the specific guy. I know the tutorial he's talking about this is super funny!
