About the show:
The nationwide search for the next superstar kicked off in August as the Idol Bus traveled covering 23 cities across the country. Auditioning was made easier than ever as hopefuls also had the opportunity to submit audition videos online as well as via select social media platforms using an official tag The Next Idol cultivating over 300,000 posts. Also for the first time in “American Idol” history hopefuls had the opportunity to audition through a livestream platform.
Helping to determine who America will ultimately vote for to become the next singing sensation are music industry forces and superstar judges Luke Bryan Katy Perry and Lionel Richie. Host and producer Ryan Seacrest will return as host of the beloved series.

He's a great singer, but he does not have the vocal range of Freddie Mercury. Freddie was in an incredible world of his own.

@@MrFreskoxxx Are we listening to the same person? Of course he has the range, but the ease and skill he has vocally make him a great singer. Certainly as great as Freddy Mercury. Even Sir Elton John heard it. He's a natural artist and is worthy of a global tour. Any label would be lucky to pick him up.
He sounds like a freaking squeaky toy in the upper range. Great song, hard pass on this vocal.

We cannot predict if Jeremiah will win. I hope that he does because Jeremiah is the most talented of the 10 finalists. I hope that his parents reconcile their problems with Jeremiah's sexual orientation as something that cannot be changed or is sinful. They should demonstrate love and full support for their son if he wins American Idol. That is what parents who are Christian should do.
I cannot agree more with your comments. Simply incredible performances -- and such a beautiful soul -- we are witnessing in Jeremiah. As a Gay brother, I am so proud to be part of his LGBT "Family." He is loved.
That is what parents who are true Christians WOULD do -- and should have done -- the moment they learned he was gifted with his voice and his sexual orientation. Anything less for a son is blasphemy. It is they who need our prayers.
It is so wonderful to see judges on a talent show that are so positive towards the contestants. It sure beats all the viciousness and negativity we see on some of the other shows. We have a show in Australia called Masterchef and it's the same with their judges, always positive and supportive towards contestants, glad to see things are finally changing for the better. Makes watching a pleasure.

No we all think alejandro is a prodigy musical genius... drop B guitar with unique plug, Chopin like piano skills, ability to create amazing originals that mixes classical and pop with very relatable lyrics and finally, a voice that is different.. that's all. And yes, Jeremiah is a better singer. I don't disagree. But those things above...

I agree somewhat. Harmon overdid it on the high notes. Needed a subdued performance towards the End. Elton’s version is the best
