Theory: I don’t know if many people caught this but, I saw in the “career” episode it shows in the background for a sec that has the words “child actor” and has picture of ash sad and younger. The other one is that when they say there taking a “vacation”, it shows a flyer saying that “child star leaving the spotlight after dropping out of movies” and the it say’s that he’s mother says that she thinks the spot light wasn’t for him and doesn’t care what he says. so I think was ash and he went insane and captured a bunch of other children to become stars and help him become famous again
Also it shows the big monster who was a a movie actor ash was working with in a show, it says he’s a kidnapper and in the “safety” episode it’s shows us ash in a movie/show called “big monsters is my dear friend” I think that’s why is his mom wanted him to stop acting after having him drop out of a movie with a kidnapper
this is a very good show for children, my 5 year old loves it! it teaches all about what a child should know such as cooking properly hiding evidence how to keep an accomplice quiet proper safety so much more

The genuine kindness and compassion then the immediate shift to controlling and deranged perfectly sells the story. I can tell this took a lot of time and effort to pull off. Well done!

Okay, I think I'm maybe starting to understand the lore. Ash was a child star who was kidnapped, held hostage, and forced to perform, using some of the same methods he uses on Mark (possibly explaining his obsession with the ice cream truck), and he himself was held captive by a monster who was obviously a monster to him in more ways than one. Notice the sad expression on the child's face, and the monster that towers over him. The "Big Monster" got 22 years in prison for his crimes; obviously he victimized the MC and made him hate monsters due to his own trauma. This seems to fold into the "Monsterville" ad where this failed and damaged child star decided to resume his career by kidnapping a little monster of his own, to torture and abuse, murdering all of his family and friends in the process, in a very real way revenging himself on the Monster community by becoming the Big Monster himself, and also reclaiming his lost celebrity status in the process. It's kind of a really tragic commentary on how victims can become monsters themselves by preying on the innocent.
What i think is going on/lore : ash kidnapped people with his icecream truck and gives body parts to 'big monster' (on a poster big monder said: eat more meat, and next to him were marks friends+ one of marks kidneys is gone) i also think the place is all a setup knowing that mark once said something like: finally sleeping in a real bed. We alzo know that mark lives in a cage and maybe 1 of his friends is alive maybe.. this is all pretty darm but i love it that you can with every episode find more if the lore! Its very intresting!!!! :D
