I should think the concepts of bodily consciousness do not exist in the Russian vocabulary because the dysfunction of them is probably nowhere near as advanced necessitating invention of clinical therapeutic terms in Russia as has necessitated in the Protestant West. England-America is a much more bodily-alienated cultural sphere than the Eurasian world which has not absorbed, I think, as much of the platonizing, dualistic mindset as the West has prided itself on for the last several centuries. I would posit that the native spiritual traditions of Orthodox Christianity, Judaism, Islam and Buddhism endemic to Russia, and the relative absence of Reformation Theology and its cultural children, might have resulted in less denigration of bodily experience than in the Protestant Capitalist West. I am not saying that Russians are are so much healthier in regards to attitudes about the body than Americans and Brits but at least there are traditions extant which center on embodiment. I am thinking specifically about Orthodox incarnational theology.
Это всё звучит неплохо)
