This is a stock that I recently picked up for the my Grendel 6.5 AR15 build and wanted to share some details about it.
I purposely got this over a traditional stock carbine/rifle stock as I generally tend to do more "bench" shooting with this gun vs. freehand. It has some significant heft/weight to it and is completely adjustable.
This will aid in considerable comfort when shooting as it allows you to adjust the stock based on 3 axis points. Length of pull, six position adjustment, and an adjustable butt plate. In addition it has a cheek weld or rise as some may call, that is also adjustable which makes getting on target or back on target much easier.
These can be found online for around $100-150 if you search around!

I have one mounted on my AR-15. I specifically wanted this stock on my AR. Nothing against telescope or Magpul. I'm going to buy an AR-10 and have this stock. Once the frenzy is over

I hear you on that one, everything is a bit crazy right now - It would be a great addition to an AR-10!! Especially given its weight, it'll soak up a little bit of that recoil. I agree with you Magpul and other companies make good products, however, this one is just cool. Thanks for being part of the squad!!

I thought I was sold on the FAB defense stock for my 308 win, but this has it all and bit more and I especially like the "skeletonized" so to speak look! Great quick and to the point overview!

My buddy had gotten the magpul and I was certainly interested in it. That was until I found this option and have been very pleased with the quality, function, and price. I appreciate your comment and best of luck - thanks for being part of the squad !!

I know someone who made these, while not having a super high rise for the cheek piece or very long LOP it is quite a comfortable butt stock

If I had the right tools and patience lol, I’d be happy to make it myself. That’s really cool of you can make your own. If that was the case I’d build one from scratch so it was custom fit to me!

Just got my first AR. Unfortunately live in NJ, so the factory stock needs to be fixed, but can change it. The MBA1 is fixed, correct? Would you recommend replacing my factory with that?

    • @VPTACTICAL

Congrats on your purchase !! Yes, some states like NJ restrict freedoms when it comes to our firearms. By standard definition the MBA1 is a “fixed” stock and they make great products. The MBA1 does have adjustable pull and a cheekriser. I’d check with you local law enforcement to verify that even if it is a fixed stock that the adjustable pull will be legal in NJ. I’d check just to keep yourself out of trouble :) cheers ✌🏻✌🏻

I had heard these stocks were prone to rattles. You addressed that nicely. Do you still like it, I'm thinking of putting one on a 6.8? I'm also wondering how much heavier they are than the typical Magpul type adjustable stock.

I love it so far, the adjustability is worth every penny. It’d be a great fit for most AR platforms. The regular magpul stocks assuming were not talking about their PRS comes in around 8 ounces where the Luth MBA3 is 19.2 ounces. About 1.2 pounds for the new stock versus half a pound.
