The “worst gym” here is like my current gym and I think it’s great.
Don’t listen to others when choosing gym.
The worst gym is actually the best gym in my living area
I think most ratings are more for cleanliness than anything else, but when you have a cheaper customer base they end up not picking up after themselves. When youre in a nice place youre more likely to put stuff back and throw stuff away for appearances. The staff can also walk around every now and then and clean but like people not putting napkins in the trash or putting weights and equipment back in their place is just trashy and very telling of the people who go there
Worst gym could get 5 stars against all the gyms in my area 😂
All you need for a good gym is weights that is it just weights nothing else matters

The "worst gym" in this video is my current gym and I love it. Nothing too fancy, not as bad as depicted. Jesse is definitely making it look a lot worse, but I think it's great. The mess isn't the gym, it's the people that go there. And the influencer/bodybuilders that go to alphaland are much less likely to leave napkins on the floor.
Honestly nobody cares about what type of gym they got to be in The most important thing is to workout

The thing is that we all would LOVE to go to a top notch 5 star gym, but the membership I could imagine is like $100+ a month, while a low tier gym may be dirty and a complete mess, but is overall affordable for everyday normal people.
Planet fitness 10$ a month and 30 for a premium, not saying everyone has a planet fitness though
@Dylan Drake Are you serious now? Even in the depths of Russia, the cheapest gym costs at least 20 per month. A normal gym without premium masseurs costs about 55.
I now pay the same amount in a happy poor country of the European Union in Slovakia, halls also cost from 30 to 90 euros. I go to a rather small and cramped one for 55 just because it's in front of my house.
Retro fitness is another good option. Whack and tacky coloring but it works.
Eos is $10 a month and I love it

No way that gym is way too posh to train there, that's the kind of gym for people that value looks over the rest, the Ifone kind of people. Real bodybuilders would prefer rusty weights all day long.
That worst gym is 100x better than the only gym in my town
I would get a job at LA fitness, and just dedicate every shift to making sure the entire place is spotless. It really hurts when I see a gym in that bad of a state.

The worst gym is actually not a bad gym , But when you get used to something superior you lose interest in things that are actually very good or decent , And when you think about it MANY people don't have such a gym around where they live.

You have a point there, Jesse. My biggest weakness when it comes to the gym (or basically anything) is being easily distracted. I get distracted a little too easily, and I hate that. Also, sometimes, I wish I wasn't trying so hard to talk to people; even though I can be a bit shy and introverted. Problem is: I've been lonely my entire life and I just want a human connection. Sometimes, being social is hard.

the worst is still way better than what I frequent
the gym i go to, cleverfit (in austria), seems more like alphaland than la fitness
it is very clean, with a very aesthetically pleasing design the only gripes i have with it is that its pretty small and so you have to wait quite a lot if a certain exercise is currently occupied

I live fairly close to Philly and I’m not surprised that the LA fitness Jesse went to was such a mess just like the city it’s in. Makes me grateful how much care the workers and management puts into the La fitness I go to.
Clean equipment, everyone puts away the weights after using them and 9 out of 10 people you’ll meet are humble.
Also, I knew the moment you were gonna leave the money in the locker room it was definitely gonna be gone. That’s Philly for you.

That one isn't in Philly proper actually it's across city Ave where it's Bala Cynwyd which is actually a pretty expensive neighborhood
honestly that's everywhere i'm Canadian and if you leave a $100 just chilling around guess what you didn't have the foresight to keep it in your wallet or in a safe place so it's no-ones till it's found again simple as that

To the la fitness I went to for the first time was actually really clean, no dirty napkins, no random equipment on the floor, bathroom was clean and overall it was a good experience for me going to la for the first time. I guess it just depends on location.

The only two gyms I've had access to are my apartment complex which is free weights, treadmill, exercise bike, cable machine, smith machine. And the one in my school’s basement.
honestly the bathroom at the 2star gym was relatively super clean compared to other commercial gyms. I’ve seen bathrooms w the floor permanently stained yellow lol
He's 2star rates gym would actually be an 5 star gym in my country with prices close to $80 a month

The best test (which I always do) to find out how clean a gym is, you grab a wipes (anti bacterial) and just do a couple of heavy wipes of a seat, and most gyms (in Australia in the three star or less department) are dirty as a crop field

Maybe in your country but in my country there is just a small space for hallways bc of equipments placed all over, Every wall is made of plywood and there is no Air conditioner but with some fans and a fish aquarium

Really good video! But I had a little problem knowing when you were in the good or bad gym. I was always second-guessing myself through out the video. Other than that you did a really good job! :)
My first gym is basically a garage, with rusty weights and bars. But still grateful for it, without that gym I wouldn't be able to do what I'm doing now than spend to a costly gym and not know anything. Better start very² cheap then learn basics, then along the way, when u feel like equipments is not enuff for u anymore, then its time to move.

I live in the U.S. and go to a gym a lot like the LA Fitness location in this video and have zero problem with it. The “2 star gym” even has a pool which is a lot better than a lot of places like planet fitness.
