That was probably one of the most “edge of my seat “ rescue I’ve ever watched , well done guys !! 👍👏 I’m sure you will get the big guy too , at some point . Truly inspiring.
Naude really knows how to work the pole! 😳 It looks like it will never work, but he can sneak up, snatch a strap and the seal wakes up like he doesn't know what hit him! Check out his earlier video where he uses a really long pole on the beach.
What? Who? Someone touched me? The bull never realized what was happening! Great idea, Naude. And the second one was so difficult, the seal very uncooperative, and yet you persevered and freed her. Very good job, all of you! Congratulations
Gives me a bit of hope these seamen called to let you know about the entanglements. Great job, and I'm hoping you will get the bull seal next time. Thank you!
You guys Amaze me with the lengths you'll go to to rescue seals... I have so much respect and gratitude for you all... Thank you for your tireless efforts.. Please keep safe.. :)
That hook was SLICK! Just the last one was too tight. I am amazed every time you guys come up with a new way to rescue the seals. I am a bit jealous of the people who got to stand and watch in person. So I am very thankful that you share the videos with us.
Wow, the seals here have grown to humongous sizes. I guess having easy food and pretty much no predators allowed them to be quite used to humans in that area.
Well done Naude, Tony and Dasher Denzil! That was quite a stealth rescue, nice creativity on the PVC pole with the scissors attached! Thank you to Leatherman Tools for sending the boys those tools, very helpful!
Thank you very much🙏 We were showed those hook pols by the biologists from NOAA and we build some for ourselves. We use them for seals that are too big for the net or when we need to be extra covert, like in the Harbour😉
Incredible rescues!! Those precious seals most certainly would have perished from those entanglements! Thank you so much for saving them! Your talents are endless! I have no doubt you will free the “old man” when you return! So much love and admiration for you Naude, Tony and Denzil! You are all amazing! 🦭❤️🙏💚
the title had me thinking three were entangled together, but this was so much more illuminating. I now love harbour seal rescues. It's full of visual stimulation and stealth and intrigue and the seals seem to be of a different ilk. Maybe they are, if as Naud says 6:40, they are stronger. That seal tho 3:05 just sittin' there like he has no worries in the world, bein' all temptin' like. Beautiful picture of a strong seal. Good job, as always, but more importantly beautiful bit of footage.
That was so exciting, just like a movie! But it was real life, and two seals are saved, and we have a cliffhanger! Oh, I so hope y'all get the third one someday, poor thing. I was freaking out at Naude trying to climb down those rocks.
Wow! Never in 100 years did I think to see Naude use a tomato plant 🍅 as a seal blind in a rescue. Fantastic job. I’m sure the team will get more calls from the harbor workers if for no other reason than they want to be an audience to the fascinating show 🦭🌊👍
I’ve watched every one of your videos…some of them several times and you still leave me in awe! God Bless you and your families for all that you do for our extraordinary marine life!🦭❤️🙏💚
Great work, team! Thanks! I do not know if people at the factory called you. But, seeing more videos of you rescuing seals in the harbour means that local people care about their seals and they know about your work.
Amazing work guys. Harbour seals must be the most chilled ever as noise and humans does to seem to bother them. #3 you can run but you cannot hide. The boys will be back for you!
6:40 "Why are harbour seals so much stronger?" A: because dockwork is hard work? A2: could also be that the more stable ground gives the seals more purchase to struggle against you ;)
The hook-on-a-stick is a wonderfull idea! And if you want the seal to turn his head to the other side (as you've asked him to do in the clip), maybe you can throw a little stone above him, so it will land on the other side and attract his attention. Anyway, well done! :-)
That was an incredibly unique and dangerous situation and nothing “fazes” your team. Do you think the harbor seals are stronger bc people feed them so less work for more food? Just an idea. Today the you guys are the Harbor Seal Dream Team. You all are the best!!!
No, the harbour seals spend their day in the water at the end of an outlet pipe where the fish factory gets rid of the fish parts that cannot be sold. Each factory has its own pipe, and there are at 100 seals living in the harbour.

😆 😅 😂
Thank you so very much 🙏
O my goodness, you guys were in such a dangerous place and all you thought about was trying to help the seals. What amazing people you are. True hero's.
I'll echo what's already been said, that was very nerve racking as I sit here thousands of miles away. Year(s) later. You have my utmost admiration ❤
Getting very clever with the improvised rescue gear, hook on umbrella, whatever works . Well done guys
Thank you very much🙏
Man this is so different from usual. Even watching one get netted these big boys didn't run away. They huddled and watched.
No tomatoes were harmed in the making of this video.😂Great work, guys, it's good to see that the fisheries and others know to call you when they see a seal (or turtle or whale...) in trouble.
😂😂
Thank you very much 🙏
