I agree, everytime the Phils is featured by BBC and most documentaries I've seen only ever features the slums and dark criminal underworld like - Most dangerous place in the world to be a bus driver - Ross Kemp Extreme World S6 Ep 3 - Stacey Dooley Investigates not the same but 90 day Fiancé (remember "you're so Road"?) The only other interesting docu I've seen was The Wonders of Life with Prof. Brian Cox when he went to see the Taal Volcano Lake. You get the picture.
Agree. Even on a business feature of Jollibee's expansion in the U.S. they would show snippets of our local, crowded satellite market areas and a brief show of the facade of Jollibee's headquarters looking up without featuring the plush area.

Noel Balde, those are one time article from years ago. What the OP meant are the videos that CNN and BBC show whenever they feature the Philippines. Do they show BGC when they talk about the Philippines? No. They show the slums of Tondo and other squatters area.
While in Manila, go visit Intramuros, the historic walled city within the city. it’ll be an entirely different yet special experience for you guys. And George, yes, a haircut and a shave please😊

So much history there if you want to know more about the country. Do ONGPIN for an epic food trip. CHINESE NEW YEAR is on Feb 5, so it will be quite colorful and festive in ONGPIN Chinatown nxt wk.
i love watching travel vlogs because its REAL more than watching TV series or reality tv cus actually TV series and movies or even reality tv are not real. Other trendy spots in the metro include Eastwood City, Filinvest/Alabang, Ortigas/Captial Commons, Greenhills/Promenade, Araneta/Cubao, Solaire/City of Dreams/Okada casino resorts, a historical trip to Intramuros (Spanish influence) and Chinatown in Binondo.

Visit Taal Volcano and its lake and its historical town, beautiful beaches of Laiya town of San Juan, hidden jungle resorts of Lobo, Calatagan and most of all one of the great wonder of the world, the Anilao diving and snorkeling beaches where you find half of the worlds number of corals as per National Gegrapic..Lastly, in behalf of all the Filipinos, I really appreciate all your effort in sharing how beautiful Phil's is. Also, to Mike and Ñellly. Tak3 care always. I'm jealous to be honest coz its been a while since my last Phil's visit. If you wanna taste the best coffee, how they do it direct from the farm visit Lipa City. If you are looking for camera, Quiapo, particularly Hidalgo st. Is where to go. The price is about 1/3 cheaper. And since you are there, why not explore the area, it has a century old church and Chintown is just 10 to 15 minutes walk away...

But then you’ll be missing the other side of the coin which may be exciting too. Even in paradise there’s always the Elois and the Morlocks. Just don’t carry valuables and important docs e.g. passports and visas. And don’t act like tourists 😁
For cheap and quality cameras, I heard there are surplus amounts in Quiapo, Hidalgo Street. But you just have to be careful there due to pick pockets, etc. Also not sure of the situation of the shops there due to the pandemic.

New York is very overrated! Manila is much more beautiful! BGC (Bonifacio Global City in Taguig), Singapore, and Chicago are alike! I'd been to these places (no bragging) I can tell you NYC is just a city with lots of buildings.

It's amazing how you go through traffic because your videos showing you moving from one part of the city to another is very fluid. I understand the magic of video editing. It must have been very stressful to go to different points of interest in a day and coordinate your movement and schedule with others (e.g. Mike & Nelly) when traffic in the city is horrendous. Come up to Antipolo city, east of Manila, maybe 1 hour drive away from BGC of course with traffic, without traffic probably 20 minutes. Have dinner around cloud 9 and see the sunset like no other! And the view overlooking the entire metro manila is simply stunning. Talk about varied, you will be surprised.

For cheap and quality cameras, I heard there are surplus amounts in Quiapo, Hidalgo Street. But you just have to be careful there due to pick pockets, etc. Also not sure of the situation of the shops there due to the pandemic.

Just found your vlog via Becoming Filipino and Finnsnow. You both are so luckly to travel. Never heard of BGC and had to look up. Been visiting the Philippines for over 42 years by marriage. Continue to travel in the Philippines.
New York is very overrated! Manila is much more beautiful! BGC (Bonifacio Global City in Taguig), Singapore, and Chicago are alike! I'd been to these places (no bragging) I can tell you NYC is just a city with lots of buildings.

visit Venice Grand Canal in Taguig, it's actually within the BGC area as well. there's a gondola ride and quite a different mall vibe.

It's amazing how you go through traffic because your videos showing you moving from one part of the city to another is very fluid. I understand the magic of video editing. It must have been very stressful to go to different points of interest in a day and coordinate your movement and schedule with others (e.g. Mike & Nelly) when traffic in the city is horrendous. Come up to Antipolo city, east of Manila, maybe 1 hour drive away from BGC of course with traffic, without traffic probably 20 minutes. Have dinner around cloud 9 and see the sunset like no other! And the view overlooking the entire metro manila is simply stunning. Talk about varied, you will be surprised.
you guys should visit «Cariedo» in manila... they have a canon store there and they sell camera parts there for a much cheaper price

There's a bunch of food strips you can find in Quezon City. Try going to Maginhawa St.
