Awesome job Eric I'm still a little off on using the tools but I watch to make sure I see something Everytime to help me along you used one tool I have from you now I know what to do with it lol nice job on the guitar not my style but sure is beautiful loving the gold pickups and tuners!
I'm not big on semi & hollow bodies, but something about that is just classy and looks enjoyable to play. O, hope you're daughter loves the R,R, V. Thanks Eric for the videos.
It looks beautiful, Eric. What gauge is the strings? Got me through college with one of these. Used to jam with partying buddies with it too. Loads of good memories and sweating over recitals and juries. Time of my life. I'm gonna go cry now. Happy Easter dude!
Does being that precise about pickup height really make that much difference? I always just set mine by eye and ear. I would have no clue what the height should be. Looking forward to hearing the final result.
By ear is a good way to set pickups. You just don't want them too high to start pulling the strings down because of the magnets. I'll set them with my tool and if they sound too hot I'll readjust.
@@ericctheartofnoise8613 I typically have mine lower, rather than higher, but it is a juggling match trying to get the best S/N ratio while not being too hot. If I put them too low I get more noise from electrical noise at my house.
i'll set the bass side at 1/8 and the trouble at 3/32. if they are sound like they are not mixed together or to hot i will adjust. most of the time they are just fine. if your getting noise from the things at your house... sounds like your setting them just fine and know what you is doing =)
@@ericctheartofnoise8613 I used to get so much electrical interference at my house I couldn't use single coil pickups at all. I finally figured out it was coming from my uninterruptible power supply. I took that out and the noise was reduced to acceptable levels. I haven't adjusted any pickups since then so I may be able to have them set differently now.
I swear I commented on this video. Anyway. This guitar is just so freaking awesome. Bet that hollowbody makes it sound so much better
Very nice my friend!!
Man that's a kick ass job you've done ...I always pay attention to each detail. You go above and beyond. Thank you brother. Happy Easter.
Good job man

I put a set of 10"s on it. Happy Easter.
The original bridge of Joe Pass Emperor ll, is not a tunnomatic one..
Did you changed it? Or some one else didt it?
I know. This was an upgrade. The new original bridge is in the case. If the owner wanted to put the wood bridge back on, he or she could.
great vid. i just got this guitar and i have to set it. Do you happen to know whether it uses a single-action or dual action truss rod?
no its a standard truss rod, no dual action.

It's done... except for hanging that ugly-ass mudflap under the strings...
