You are amazing! Because of your efforts, I enjoyed teaching again. While you were struggling through your third year and teaching second grade, I was struggling with the toughest class I ever had (4th grade). When you moved to 4th, I was moved to second and had the most amazing year ever! This is my 18th year. Best wishes for you and Billy!

This video was so well done. Thank you for sharing your vlogs and experiences it has been a blessing for myself and others. I will definitely still be watching and can’t wait to see what you come up with. Maybe this is a blessing for you as well because I am sure keeping up with vlogging and teaching in the classroom is stressful so I can’t wait to see some vlogs that are hopefully more relaxing to film. God bless! Your an inspiration and an among teacher and your passion is what makes people want to watch your journey. Thanks for all your help!

It's a shame how US treat their teachers...You make the new world and children need passionate teachers... but no wonder, the way the US treat mothers with small children, I mean no maternity leave? WTF? One could not understand how they could become the world's leader with such relationship with their own citizens... :-/ I am so happy for my life in Europe

I literally don't understand lol. Are they saying no second jobs or no UA-cam specifically? It seems like an over reach of power (I'm not sure how to phrase what I mean)

We understand! My husband went through the same thing right after college. He stayed unemployed during 18 months. Even though he had an engineer degree, he was doing deliveries to pay the bills. But he was finally able to start his career at some point. I am a teacher in the Bay Area, in California, and a lot of my coworkers really struggle to pay rent with their current salaries. I work on Saturdays to supplement mine... I wish you and your husband the best!

I just left the classroom after 15 years. It amazes me that districts expect so much of our time, but still don't value us enough to pay a livable wage. I've had a handmade shop for years to try to help pay for the extra things in life that come up. I know you will continue to do amazing things with your channel! Best of luck!

Holy smokes......I just found your awesome videos. With this movement to online teaching and learning, I'm out of my mind. Finding your videos and your passion have been awesome and inspiring. After 25 years in another field, I transitioned to teaching elementary school (4th grade) at age 50. I am out of my mind angry at how districts, states, and the feds treat teachers. No or few resources get in the way of being effective, especially when we are evaluated on how welcoming and inviting we are, and our method of instruction. You are such a great resource, so in my opinion, that does so much for showing how your district can support you.....but instead, they say no. Also, I am not here just for the videos......they inspired me, then I watched your Netherlands video, and deeply care about how you are doing. I hope all is well....and keep on being you!

I so totally get it about Billy.
While he's trying to gain employment in his chosen field, are there any supermarkets/fast food/retail opportunities in your area? That might help a bit.
There is no shame in an honest day's work.

They probably wouldn’t hire him because he’s “overqualified”. I know it sounds crazy but I have heard stories of people with degrees who can’t get entry level jobs like that.

Thank you. Thank you so much for being one of the biggest inspirations in my teaching career. As a girl from the Eastern Shore of MD myself, I understand how hard and disheartening it can be to teach here. I’ve been told a million times not to be a teacher because “you’ll never be able to support yourself” but seeing you... a girl that came from the eastern shore like me, more than likely got your degree in the same place I have and being from a place that we both get to call our “home” is amazing to me. You are doing BIG things and you have a purpose in this world. So thank you for showing the world that even small girls from the Eastern Shore can still make the BIGGEST difference if we set our minds to it. ❤️

My dear, I’ve been teaching for almost 30 years and I’m so grateful because I found you. You taught me how to create my slides, and how to work with google forms, among many other things. Your videos have helped me so much and if you make money out of them, I am so glad, YOU DESERVE IT, because you are so good. I may be experienced but I love your ideas and all this training that your channel offers about technology has been incredibly helpful. Life is strange at times, but I know you will take advantage of the situation as you are so passionate about your job. Thanks for everything and I’m your forever follower. I do hope you become the 1st rich teacher in the world, doing things related only to teaching.
