I still have mine from, I can't believe I'm saying this, 27 years ago. I was 10 years old when it came out and I'm 36. My mom bought it for me from Toys r us, and I've had it all these years tucked away and just recently took it out again especially with the new movie coming out. I have to say this because it has to be said: the new toys especially for the new movie, are absolutely the worst kind of cheap Dollar store garbage that you're ever likely to get for a Ghostbusters line. I can't believe the sheer laziness that companies today, unless you're an adult brand like mcfarlane, did they give to children today. I understand, times change and nowadays you have kids who are stuck in front of a screen or a cell phone or an iPad or something, and I do feel like kids today are using their imaginations less and less like we 90s kids did, but nevertheless, you would think they would put more effort into the toys today especially with technology being the way it is. But somehow, these older toys, they have lights and sounds, really insane action features, and this toy shows that the quality was so good that even the lights and sounds all these years later still work on most of these!the quality that companies like Kenner had for toys back in the day and the creativity, you just don't see that anymore. The new Frozen empire toys you see in stores are absolute crud. They look like cheap Dollar store garbage. These old toys I grew up with, I found them so creative and with so many awesome action features and details and molds that just really brought your imagination to life and made you excited to get the toy in the first place. This ecto-1 is proof of that.

I completely agree that’s why I haven’t bought any of the new Ghostbusters toys. They’re just not worth it.
