Hi, I love these saddles, I've had 3 of the "N" series model (no cover) you show in your review. I covered 9000mls on the 3 combined & it was amazing! No soft tissue or sit bone pressure! Doing a 40 mile or140mile ride felt no different. The perfect saddle I thought until my first one snapped, I was really disappointed (understatement) as I had been so comfortable, but it didn't stop me buying another 2 after that. Unfortunately the same failure happened to these also. My 3rd failed just before lockdown. I have since bought a Bontrager Aeolus mainly due to great reviews & also large & virtually full length relief channel. It's ok to about 60mls but then becomes hard. For me nothing comes close to the Infinity (fortunately or unfortunately for me) so I am hoping to find that they have improved/been strengthened sometime soon! Definitely a game changer but need to last. Once I know this I will not hesitate to buy another. Happy cycling.

@@Type2Twins Hi there, yes I did contact Infinity after 1st one snapped 1500mls(2 months use) but like some others I got no response. After 3rd one snapped, i contacted them again & Diane Marcel responded & asked me to send photos of all 3 saddles showing underneath. Now, I don't know if you are aware but the saddles have been modified/strengthened once already because my 3rd saddle looking underneath I noticed it was different from 1st & second. Diane informed me that my no1 & 2 were 2016 models & 3 was 2017,which makes sense. Now this obviously proves that the saddles weren't strong enough (for some riders) but as I weigh 90kg /200lbs I am a heavier rider but I wouldn't call this super heavyweight, this is approx the average weight of an adult male in USA to put it in perspective. I exchanged a few polite emails back & forth with Diane, but I found it quite strange that she made no reference to any problem with the saddles & said nothing about the fact that a loyal customer (me) had purchased 3 & all had failed!. On top of this, she sent me a copy of an email which was sent to me when I contacted them originally about my first saddle failing. The email offered me me a replacement saddle for the cost of shipping only ($25) ( so not much at all). Diane also told me that they had actually replaced my saddle!!! Firstly I never received this email, ( at the time I would have jumped at the chance to get a replacement for about £15 equivalent). I dont understand how their records can possibly show this when I certainly didn't part with the $25 shipping costs having not received the email. Just for the record, first saddle was purchased from Infinity direct, 2nd was off Ebay "used once, didn't suit" this was completely unmarked ( I checked very carefully) & third was from "Ten Point" the uk sole distributor of Infinity, this was their "demo" example which they kindly sold me for £80. So the conclusion to my contact with Infinity was for them to offer me $75 off a new saddle. Again, as I have also told Infinity, I think the saddles are a game changer if you have soft tissue/ sit bone pressure & for me I'd found the " holy grail" of saddle comfort, but Diane said nothing as to whether the problem with the saddles snapping had been resolved or not or any modifications they may have made since. I would have thought if they have sorted this, they would be emphasising this? I've done some research of my own and watched virtually every U-tube review & read virtually every comment on these clips & found that there are more instances of these saddles snapping & purchasors subsequently getting poor customer service. All in all it seems that Infinity have had a problem with the saddles but they have chosen to keep very quiet about it, whereas I think honesty is the best policy. Having teething problems with a new product is not a crime, & if indeed they have modified & strengthened the saddles at the manufacturing level so the saddles will last, then they could have turned a negative into a positive & used it as good promo /PR. I am currently trying to find out what exactly they have done to make the saddles last other than gluing padding or leather or both to what is essentially the "N" series underneath. Anyway, here's hoping I can go back to one at some point. Happy cycling
@@anthonyfilosa9890 Wow, thanks for taking the time to comment on these saddles. I too have had many problems contacting Infinity in the US, and I just wanted to buy a saddle fro them. There's definitely something fishy going on there.
Best seat ever. Been using it for 3 years. Just completed 800 miles bikepacking with no issues.
I used to ride a Brooks b17 which was absolutely fine for about 5 or 6 hours. Just dandy. After that time, things deteriorated. So my distance was governed by bum endurance not legs, and it could take days to be able to sit down without pain after a 2 or 300k. So I searched around and tried lots of things and my perfect saddle is a Selle SMP Trk : a big padded weird looking thing that I think is designed for use on hybrid bikes. But it suits me just fine.

Yes indeed. I bought mine in Oct 2018 after having surgery to remove an abscess on my left sit bone. It took over a year to heal properly but I was able to continue cycling with the infinity. It takes a few rides to get used to as you sit in it rather than on it. I’ve gone back to my regular saddle since healing but I occasionally revert back to the infinity if I’m a bit sore.
So if the Infinity allowed you to keep cycling whilst healing, why did you go back to a regular saddle? Especially as you revert to the Infinity if you're a bit sore. Surely you'd stick with the Infinity?
I tried the Infinity saddle, and found it so-so, but I prefer the Spongy Wonder and Spiderflex.
But when I tried to return it -- in new condition -- Infinity wouldn't accept it.
So don't buy it unless you don't mind losing the money (or reselling it) if you don't like it.
What was "so-so" about it? Can you elaborate on where it was lacing?
Do you still like the spongy wonder? I have one but haven’t installed it yet. Was thinking about this one.
@@alfie1030 Definitely try the Spongy Wonder -- it will completely change your idea of saddle comfort.

I ordered an Infinity L2- Series Seat October 2018 for a cost of $297, not including a $20 discount + Sales Tax, for a total of $303.32. Today the seat broke and is unusable. I contacted Infinity and sent photos hoping for a replacement. They offered me a $100 credit on ordering an upgrade. Disappointing! 51 years of riding and I never had a seat break before. They say they are a family owned business, which apparently means they don't have to stand by their product.
That is a real shame, and it seems others are having the same problem. I will contact them and see what their warranty on breakages is.

I have an E1X. I had a lot of sit bone pain. doesn't help being quite heavy. Its expensive but so is trying a lot of saddles so my take is i've saved in the long run. obviously you still have to get used to pressure in other places but it can be put up with until its bedded in.
Yeah, takes a bit of getting used to, for sure.
Hi I really enjoyed your video review - thanks for posting it. Just wanted to pick up on your point that if it really is this good, then surely all the manufacturers would've gone down this route? I wonder why they haven't? I am still tempted to get one though. Obviously it is expensive but there's also the shipping, customs, VAT charges etc.
Can mesh be added to take some wight on the sit bones to? Wud be nice to reduce pressure

I'm currently using a selle smp extra and too suffer from pain on the sit bones. I've ordered the Infinity E2 and is on it's way as we speak so can't wait to try it. My friend purchased the E3 but cause of the cronovirus I have not been able to see it but he says it's very comfy and is like putting you bum in a hammock. Thanks for the review 👍

I had the selle smp as well and I found that while the prostate pain was gone due to the cutout it really dug into the sides on longer rides and still had sit bone pain. It gets better if you keep riding consistently but it never really goes away. Hoping to try out this seat as well!!!
@@cr4zyw3ld3r Which Sella saddle do you have? And what do you mean, "it really dug into the sides?" I have the Sella TRK LARGE and it's comfortable but my thighs rub the sides of the nose. I'm looking for that same cup design with the cutout but with a more narrow nose. The Infinity saddle looks like it might offer the same (or extra) comfort to the Sella saddles. IDK.
@@walkbyfaithinlove I had the smp glider which is a slightly more padded version. But while it provided less strain on groin area, my sit bones would hurt and as the padding settled during longer rides it felt like it would start to push/cut into my inner thighs. If that makes s sense.
@@cr4zyw3ld3r oh my, I'm sorry to hear that. this is such a painful process. what seat are you using now?
Would I try it? Maybe. I switched to a Specialized Lithia saddle some years ago and haven't had any major saddle sores. Only during TCR while riding all day every day.
If it works, stick with it! Perhaps if we meet one day you can have a go on mine (Kajsa). 🙂

No hamstring tendon issue after long rides 8+ hours/subsequent days? A friend lent me their E2 and so far I'm liking it....BUT, my fitter is very cautious about letting me use this saddle because on the Retul forums there is talk of hamstring tendon problems over time. (Currently on Cobb Randee).
I haven't seen any difference between this saddle and the others I've ridden. Rode a great part of my world record on a Cobb V-flow and the only difference when I went onto the Infinity was to do with saddle sores. But everyone's different I suppose! Hi, I liked the review. I bought the Sella SMP TRK LARGE and it is a wonderful ride, except my thighs rub the sides of it because the nose is too wide. I'm checking with Sella to see if their LITE 209 or their AVANT is more narrow in the nose. The Infinity saddle is that same design so I know it will be comfortable. Do you know enough about these saddles to make a comparison? Thanks!
I'm so sorry, I've only just seen this! Apologies, but I haven't tried any of these other saddles but I don't have any thigh rubbing on my Infinity. And I don't have small thighs! Good luck!
I have two ISM saddles and a Fizik Mistica sat on a shelf, while I have an £8 saddle memory gel from Lidl on the TT bike sat on the turbo! As much as anything I think getting position right for that saddle makes a big difference.

I really liked your review and chapeau for your record! that amount of hours on a bike is unthinkable for me. With regards to the Saddle, I am very sceptical of this approach. As a BF by trade, I consider no or minimun movement on the saddle as the best option to maintain angle measurements whilst position on a bike. In this maner, you can generate the maximum efficiency and power even when doing 20kms p/h. It's a saving energy event.
Therfore, I can't see how a saddle that has no support area for you seat bones could help to this.
The sape and stetics of it arent an issue for me. It has to work and thats it. Its the core of the concept that causes me doubts. Also, a PP value of over 220€ its quite an scary scenario when it may not work.

Hi Daniel, and thank you! :) Definitely a some good points. For me (KT), efficiency and power mean nothing if I'm in excruciating pain! But like you say, it's a pricey saddle especially if you don't get on with it. If you're in the UK I could lend you one of mine to see what you thought. I was sceptical too until I sat on one, but have loved it ever since. :)

Are these saddles something that could be ridden without bike shorts? I do own any and don’t like the idea of changing for commute.
Actually, the manufacturer recommends NOT wearing traditional heavily padded bike shorts with this saddle. I’ve ridden many 100k+ rides on my Infinity E1X in shorts with no chamois.

Can I ask 2 questions please? 1) It's been over 2 years now, are you still using it? 2) I know you say it's better without padding and I understand why. Can you buy bib shorts without padding? The bibs are key to keeping the shorts in place and also stop you getting an exposed back. Thanks.
I have ridden hundreds of thousands of miles on Brooks B17, is this women only?
It's more price, than it is a sadle. Why so expensive, when it is all air and no materials are spend? I call this an over hyped and over priced product.
