Yes you can have 6 limits just wire them in parallel and with the OpenBuilds Xtensions is super easy to do. - SIG on controller to SIG on switch 1 to SIG on switch 2 - V+ on controller to V+ on switch 1 to V+ on switch 2 - GND on controller to GND on switch 1 to GND on switch 2 Just like docs.openbuilds.com/doku.php?id=docs:blackbox:connect-xtension-limit but paralleling each wire to the second switch
You can use V-Carve or any cam software, but there is no need for Mach3 as OpenBuilds has a free easy to use control software called OpenBuilds CONTROL that will read your gcode and control your machine software.openbuilds.com/
How do you select the start location of each cut? You would want to do this to avoid cutting away the excess material that you are using to clamp your material down.
I noticed when mounting the y axis cable chain at the back of the machine the whole machine is lifted slightly on that corner. This is because the tee nut and the screw sticking through. Would this corner being slightly elevated have any impact on the accuracy?
Hi! In March 2021, be careful with the wiring of the motor, I followed exactly your method, and the nema 23 high torque don't turn. I checked with a multimeter, and have to invert two wires. Thx for the video.
Right on, completed the wiring process thanks to another helpful video... great work!
Just finished this step. 6 hours into the build so far. Just need a spindle!
How do I get help finding my USB port? I can't get my machine connected to the OpenBuilds Control

Thanks to very detailed explaining ❤
Glad it was helpful!
Why using only 3 limit swithes, and not 6 ( 2 on each end of 3 axes) ?
You can use 6, we just you three as a home position
@@OpenBuilds I have noticed blackbox can only add 3 limit switches.. what should I do if I decide to use 6 switches instead ?

Hey Dr Makes, which 2 wires did you invert?
What's about a machine 6' x 10 ', I hope to have a video showing its assembly and what's the cost?
