She was considered to be on a relatively comparable level to Sidious, which also means she’s relative to yoda in a way, which I find to be very impressive. Sure she may not have much in the way of speed or physical might, but her magic is very impressive. Shields, targeted ranged lightning, can become ethereal, can conjure weapons etc. A real threat to be sure.
She face mace windo in 1x1 better then palpatine.
Not to mention that Torture spell she used on Count Dooku
The fact she could hold of Sidious and Dooku with her own lightning is damn impressive. Honestly, I'm sad Talzin and the Nightsisters got pretty much wiped out

I like how Magic in Star Wars is basically the one and only loophole that allows you to use dark side abilities and to tap into the dark side without falling yourself since it's not coming from you
You still end up falling if you use the darkside. Whether through magic or directly. The effects of the fall are just a little different. Even the first witch talks about the corruption of the darkside in her magic.

Certainly. It's clear that she's using dark side ability that the Sith just don't usually tap into. The Alchemy, for example, and how she uses it versus how Sidious does. It's more like a lost art of the dark side. And remember that it's magik

Mother talzin one of my favourite the clone wars characters. She is so epic
Mother Talzin is the most compelling and interesting Star Wars character while being one of the most powerful ever! I am shocked that we haven‘t seen more of her so far! She is what Helen Mohiam Gaius is to the Bene Gesserit an Icon and a Diva!!!! Thank you sm for this video!❤️🙌🏻
Maul, Savage and Feral's familial connection could easily be Paternal, nothing to say that their father was not selected by another Nightsister after Talzin had concieved Maul
Yeah could be true, but then she doesn't care to find the actual relative to maul, just a contest to "find one with greater strength than skill"
In legends I recall they share the same mother (though not Talzin, Talzin was THE mother but not THEIR mother) and in ritualistic fashion, each of their fathers would be killed right after they're born.
I wish she had a more prominent role in the timeline,, VERY unique and interesting character.

Honestly, with the orb thing talzin got in season 6 and how unexplored the history of the night sisters is, I think you could probably incorporate them into the sequel trilogy to make it more interesting. Maybe the sith eternal has some long lost clan of night sisters that split off from The originals at some point, and their magic is what helped to revive palpatine.
Just spitballing, but there is a a lot you could do with them

This was a great one. Ventress and the Night Sisters was one of my favorite characters and storyline of the Clone Wars. I really found them intriguing and Ventress was such a compelling character. Loved the deep dive

Amazing video! Mother Talzin my favourite character. Idk I feel like she cared about Maul and Savage. She might of able to save herself, but chose to save Maul instead. I feel like Talzin didn't know Savage was her son but after the fight with Dooku, when Savage came back she seemed closer to him like a Mother.
This has to be in my top 5 MetaNerdz vids of all time. Just the thought that Dooku, Grievous, Savage, Maul for a split second made Sidious feel an ounce of fear by joining forces. Imo Ventress would've made a difference. Awesome vid dude!!

Any being that can hold of Palpatine whit force lightning is very impressive. For those that don't know Palpatine can scorch planets whit it so yeah mother is very impressive in her own right.

I think Talzin is the absolute strongest user of force magic who the star wars universe has ever seen. Jedi and Sith a like have a lot of dogma and dedication through their lives to philosophy. Mother Talzin has dedicated her life to her strength and the strength of her people’s usage of magic through the force. She has a larger arsenal of abilities than pretty much anyone we’ve seen aside from maybe certain force beings.
I always wondered if the death of the Daughter and the Son had an impact on Talzin’s own downfall, since the Nightsister religion and magic rely heavily on them. It would make sense that she was as strong as any force wielder while The Ones were alive because she could commune with them, but with their demise she was greatly weakened.
a Nightsister series would be epic !
So, I guess now we know where the "Humans" that moved in after the Kwa came from, and it can still work with the established lore.
The only change that needs to be made lore-wise is changing it from a mysterious Human group to it being the first Peridians that came to the Galaxy and settled on Dathomir.
I think maul is a special case for talzan, while she isn't the typical motherly figure to him, putting herself befor ehim and using him. It's hard to deny her genuine effection that she shows for him that is absent for others she tries to manipulate, i think he is a spot for pride for her and indeed she would ultimately give her life for him knowing she was bested by sideous .

On the matter of Mother Talzin not knowing the Dathomirian Zabrak warrior would indeed actually be Maul's brother, I kinda disagree. We know Savage had another brother along side Maul, being Feral. I think the entire Tribe of Nightbrothers from whom was picked was closely related, as in first cousins and second cousins. Hence they would all be of the same bloodline as Maul
I however could be wrong, but that was always what I was lead to believe
One thing I've never understand about this story arc is why Ventress is no longer a Rattataki and had to be link to the same planet as Maul. This connection makes no sense and overuses the Night Sisters of Dathomir.

I think she was actually the same strength or potentially stronger than sidious which why he took her son he had that same potential and she also uses night sister magic which is something like the force but different like we've seen sidious and Google use a sith spell or sith ritual but it wasn't like mother thousands she created a beast in the force in Savage opress I can make ships invisible to scanners and teleport and phase through matter which is could have been illusions but could also be things that are tangible as well play night sister magic is not the force maybe just a different application of energies in the universe but since city has had to bring dooku and grievous to kill her when it was only her and more that proves that she was even greater threat than he was she just had different names she didn't want to rule the galaxy so she wasn't as evil as he was but definitely just as strong poison dooku from half a Galaxy away with a dart being a conduit if it wasn't for grievous he would have died

She cared about her clan. If she didn't, she wouldn't have sacrificed her own life to save Maul. If she didn't, she wouldn't have guided Asajj to flee after the battle and instead simply remained silent. The only reason she didn't send someone to retrieve Maul sooner was to avoid any needless risk to them before she understood the plans and strength of the Sith better. She was playing the long game. She did not share Palpatine's ambitions to rule, like the rest of her people she resented that they were isolated yet always being taken advantage of and never left alone.
